I'm sorry but I don't. Why don't you just call one of the sales managers at your local Hyundai dealership? If they won't give you some basic lease info, I don't now how they can expect you to buy a car from them!

I'm in SF, CA and just talked to a local dealer and he told me the MF is .00056 and Residual for 36mo, 10k/yr is 53% and they do participate in $1000 uber. This is for the Elantra Sport MT w/ Premium.

I'm about $1 off of those calculations.

Amazingly cheap for a $21K vehicle.

Hello. I don't have any experience leasing a car, but have read a bit in the past few days and want to run this offer by you guys. I'm in New York and spent an hour or two at a Hyundai dealer last night. I'm looking to get out of New York City on the weekends and want to lease a car to accomplish this. I'm looking at the base model Elantra sedan. I drove the 2017 Mazda 3 as a rental a few months ago and really liked it. I'm not as excited about the Elantra, but it seems to be a much cheaper lease.

I was quoted a $109 monthly payment for 36 months / 10,000 miles. I'd have to pay $1721 at signing. Here's the printout I was given.

MSRP: $19,110.00
Discount: $1,442.83
Rebate: $3,500.00
Adjusted Price: $14,167.17
Autism Donation: -$5.00

Total Purchase: $14,167.17
Taxable Fees (Estimate): $595.00

First, we do not have the Hyundai lease program numbers for this month, so we won't be able to help you with the payment calculations.

Yes, you want to negotiate the selling price rather than the monthly payment.

We suggest you limit your up front cash to the first payment and the DMV costs - add everything else into the lease (taxes and fees).

I think the Elantra will be a bit less money to lease than either the 3 or the Civic.

Thanks for your quick response, Michaell. I appreciate it. Does it make sense that they have added $835 Freight and $125 Carpeted Floor Mats to the MSRP bringing up from $18,150 to $19,110? Are these costs which can be avoided?

Edit: I just researched and see that the Freight Fee is standard. What's up with the $125 for Floor Mats, though?

That is a factory option that has been added.

The total MSRP is what you want to negotiate against.

Dealer in Michigan gave me terrible quote on an Elantra Sport 6MT, but at least he confirmed the 52% residual for 36/12k and MF of 0.00004, which I had to ask many times if this was correct.
Anyways, here's his crappy offer that doesn't match up with the numbers I run on my calculator:
MSRP - $25,300
A-plan discount: -$1650
Hyundai lease cash: -$2750
Uber lease incentive: -$1000
Cap cost: $19,900
Residual: 52% (12k mi/yr)
MF: 0.00004
Monthly payment: $269/mo (including 6% tax)
Total due at signing: ~$1,000 (1st payment, doc fee, acquisition fee, tax on rebates, etc)

My calculations put me at $200/mo. He hasn't provided me a good breakdown of all the fees, so I'm sure something is being added to cap cost. Even with MF of 0.00056, payment only jumps to $218/mo.

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost, and an accounting of the difference between that and your assumption of $19,900. I don't think the $1000 upfront is going to cover all of the items you listed.

I think there's $2000 and $500 incentives from Hyundai ($3000 and $500 for Limited model) and then the lease cash in separate from that...or at least that's what I'm hoping. Hopefully Michaell can confirm

I only show the $2250.

Lease incentives are rarely published on the web; those could be purchase incentives.

Talking about when you goto calculate payments. It applys them under the lease tab and has a note at the bottom that the 3000 is for 36months thru HMF. Do you see anything on conquest on the Elantra? Or is it excluded? I see it on all the other models.

Uber is still a questionable one as many sites say lease or purchase and some dealers do it and some say it ain't allowed. "They don't want to lease to Uber drivers due to mileage" if someone wants to lease a car and do 50k a year its on them. Doesn't hurt Hyundai at all lol

I do see HMF "Bonus Cash" of $750, which makes a total of $3000 when combined with the lease cash.

No information about conquest incentives.
