Oh, I also wanted to know if I get accessory wheels, do they do a residual on those or do I pay full price for them? I hope not the latter that would suck.
If the accessories are not on the factory sticker, you pay full price for them over the lease term.
I added about $4k of accessories on my current TLX lease I ended up paying $48 per month for payments tax included on 36 month lease. I was able to negotiate adding them for 45% of ht actual price so basically $1800 approx got added to my total lease payments.
Hello All, Thank you for the great help you have provided in the last 5 years. I really appreciate it. That being said, I have few questions I would like to ask.
1) Do you have any information on the Acura pull back or pull ahead program which is basically when they want to there leased car vehicle back earlier than the contract end date, (varies between 3 to 6 months) sometimes. If you have that information, can you tell me what is the current offer?
2) The lease incentive of $3250 which is offered, is it something already accounted for in the dealer discount being offered on price of vehicle ?
3) I need numbers and incentives for MDX Tech FWD 12k miles. and MDC advance FWD 12k miles and MDX Sport Hybrid FWD 12k miles.
4) I have a current TLX lease with 7 payments of $524.00 left. Can the dealer use the $3668 for those payments to offset the $3250 incentive ? Right now the dealer is saying , pull ahead program is only for 3 months, so I will basically have to trade in the vehicle. Trading in the price will not be as good even though I'm under mileage.
1. No information on any defined Acura "pull ahead" program 2. Any offer from the dealer is likely to include those incentives; use the knowledge of the incentives to negotiate your best price 3. Tech/Adv FWD - .00050 and 55%; Hybrid - .00170 and 55% 4. Trying to end a lease early is usually an expensive proposition; those existing payments have to go somewhere. Generally, the trade value is far less than the payoff - do you know what those numbers are, so you know how deep the hole is? Can you hold out until the current lease is up?
Thank you for the tips and for the numbers. The dealer is not being too friendly as I had expected. They are sayig that the pull ahead program now is 3 monthly payments as opposed to 6 which I was told 2 months ago. But when they want to calculate the negative, they want to add all 7 remaining payments. Yes I can hold on until all payments are made but by then it will be May 2018 and no incentives will be available for that model year at that time. Makes no sense for me to take a hit on any negative as I really like the current car (TLX tech) and i think i can wait for a better deal. Will try to check another S. FL dealer though. Thank you.
Whew! Nice to hear and nice to work with an ethical dealer, too! That's why I stay with them - no funny business. Thanks again for all your input on this thread! Knowledge is power!
Just to complete closing list above for you NYers. New plates/registration $258.50 and also add in the $12.50 tire fee. That's it. I listed title - obviously a lease newbie mistake! I don't own the car now!! Have to get used to this leasing... ;-)
Have them give you the $3000 in cash and put it toward payments. Don’t want to do cap reduction with trade money for the same reason you don’t put cash down on a lease.
This lease will be ending 12/30/17. I've only used 23,350 miles so I'm assuming this should guarantee me some positive equity.
My October payment was just made and I have two more payments left. I also have the last property tax bill to pay. I plan to have these bills paid early so that when I go to re-lease a new vehicle these will have been paid and no money owed on my current lease.
What is the best way to have the car appraised to ensure I am getting an honest and adequate appraisal? Is the dealer the only option for getting an appraisal?

A couple of options available to you, besides the dealer.
If there is a CarMax nearby, they will give you a trade in appraisal.
There is also a thread here at Edmunds - "real world trade in values" - with experts ready to tell you what they believe your trade is worth.
And, despite the low miles, there is no guarantee of positive equity. Call the bank you make your lease payment to and ask them for a payoff value.

Are you sure it isn't for 10,000 miles/yr? So, 32.500 miles total?
Yes.., sorry, shoulda been more specific - 39 mos / 10,833 mi. per yr

39 months, 10,000 miles per year, right?
39 months is 3.25 years... X 10,000 = 32,500 miles
The chances of having positive equity in any lease are slim. I sure wouldn't pay any payments early. That won't make any difference to the dealer. If you have a Carmax nearby, get a bid from them. They'll also call your leasing bank for the payoff.
Hi, I am looking to lease a new 2017 MDX with Tech pack, 36 month/10k in New York (Nassau county). Could you please provide Residual % & MF? Any cash rebate, bonus or incentives this month?

Hi first time lease. Could you help if below is a good deal in Oregon? I have read all 28 pages to know what lease is and tried to know what a good deal is, but still I am confused. I think it's higher than what it should be.
I am looking for MDX SH-AWD with Technology package, 36 months/ 10000 miles, Oregon (no sale tax) and here is what I got from the dealer:
-Sales price: 52,130.00 (it shouldn't be 51,435?) - Discount: $4,774.85 (does it include the $3250 incentive) - Adjusted Sales Price: 47,355.15 - Fees: $423.00 - Net Sale Price: $49,767.15 - Down: $2000 - Lease Payment: $526.38 / month
What other information I need to ask? How can I negotiate more?

Thank you for your consideration.
Your first number is not the "Sales price". That should be MSRP. If you think that's wrong, you need to get a look at the window sticker, as the residual amount is calculated off of that number. Any calculations with the incorrect MSRP would also be incorrect. I would guess that your discount includes the incentive, but I have no way of knowing. Ask the dealer. Also, ask the dealer for the adjusted CAP cost.
Until you know the exact numbers, any negotiation is fruitless.
Just some information I wanted to share with this forum since its so helpful. Acura rolled out their pull ahead program last thursday which was for leases expiring between Jan 2018 and 30th June 2018. So if you have an existing lease which is due for return and are planning to get a new mdx, fight to your dealer for an even wash on ur current lease. That way your new leased is based on fresh numbers as if there is no trade in involved. I will be going in to fight my dealer this week
I know this is a leases forum. But what incentives or rebates are available for the MDX in zip 33404? Want a 2017 fwd with tech package. Acura website says $48k msrp. Can I expect at least to pay 43k? Or would it be more. Thanks!

Can you/someone explain this further? Went in to test drive a 2017 and asked about the availability of the 2018 (was told 2-4 weeks). I was given information about the pull ahead program, which I was told was for leases expiring through 06/30/2018. My 3yr/36k lease expires December 2017 and I was told I would be eligible for the 'pull ahead' program. I am on track to be a couple thousand miles below 36k at the end of the lease. Aside from merely getting a newer model, what benefit would I obtain by participating in this program? Perhaps I'm missing something, but this seems like it would be more beneficial for people leasing with Acura that will be over their mileage at the end of the lease or are coming to Acura from a different manufacturer. Plus, with the 2018 MDX hitting dealerships in the coming weeks, why wouldn't I just wait for the 2018 to be released -- residual values on the 2017 will go down. What am I missing?
I'm in Southern California and this is what a dealer offered for a trade in on a car i still owe $10,600. 2017 MDX SH-FWD with Tech, 36month/10k per year
I'm in Florida and got the below quote for MDX FWD with Tech: MSRP 49,300 Sales Price 44,388 Govt fees 216.50 Proc/Doc fees 1,344.00 Gross cap cost 45,948.49 Cash down 1,500 Net cap cost 45,074.66 Payment 561
I was able to negotiate an addition 500 off the sales price after I got these numbers.

I would recommend against using trade equity as cap reduction. Better to have the dealer cut you a check for that equity, and use it to supplement the higher payment you'll have as a result.
Would be good to get an itemization of the "nontax fees" - the acquisition fee is there, but what else?
Using the provided MSRP and "adjustment price", I get a payment of $426/mo before tax.
