Hello - this is an out of the gate offer from a SoCal dealer on an 18 x5d.
It's not a good deal, and seems like there's quite a bit of fat - but I wanted to clarify so I'm clear when calculating the offer - using (leasehacker calc) - what I should be paying for;
acquisition? fees? (please list any / all expected) taxes? (the only taxes should be on the first month's payment - correct?)
- Thank you kindly!
Selling price $72,390.00
Payment Details Term 36 Base Payment 864.09 Total Payment 946.18 Purchase Option 45,170.40 MSRP 76,560.00 Est. Miles Per Year 10,000

MSRP - $72520 Cap Cost - $60021 - After incentive Incentives - $6K Residual - 59% Monthly Payment - $635

We'd suggest you restructure the deal to only pay the first payment and DMV costs - roll the taxes and other fees into the payment. If the car is stolen or totaled, you'll lose that money.

In asking for clarification dealer sent (attached). This certainly doesn't seem correct to me. The numbers using calculator don't add up for me. Perhaps operator error? Certainly confused. I would like to be able to reverse engineer the deal in calculator to submit revised offer.

Can you provide the MF/Residual for X5 40e on 36/10 for December? do you also have any information on the incentives for December? Currently it was $3000 Black Friday and $3000 eDrive - Thank you!
Negotiating a lease on an 18' BMW X5 xDrive35i in Seattle, WA. Dealer is currently quoting me .00192 MF and residual of 59% for 10K miles @ 36months. Obviously they are loading the MF. Can someone please share the MF and residuals for this car at 24/30/36 in Seattle?
hello, i am headed to my BMW dealer in NJ tomorrow. interested in leasing the X5 M Sport edition. wanted to be equipped with the latest info to properly negotiate the deal.
what discount off of MSRP should i be looking to get? (7%?) what are the latest RV and MF? what fees should I avoid and which are unavoidable?
also, wanted to confirm that i should avoid putting any money down to lower my payment (although I've been told that i don't lose that money should the car get totaled; rather, this is just a down-payment to lower the payment)
appreciate the help in advance. can report back once I price the deal.
My understanding is that if the car is stolen or totaled you would loose that money. I guess it would depend on how much you got from insurance as to whether you truly loose the money or no. I have never put money down to lower the cost of the vehicle on a lease and I'm on my 5th lease. I belive on this forum it has been described as pre-paying the rent on an apartment. It's better, in my humble opinion, to set the money aside and divy it up over the term of the lease if you want to use it to lower the payment. I believe the same would apply for paying the taxes upfront. You loose that money. However if you roll the taxes into the capitalized cost you pay interest/rent on the taxes. I typically have paid the taxes up front (in NY), but I can see the benefit of rolling them in. Hope this helps.
Lastly my X5 40e is on special order and I too am wondering if the programs have gotten any better for December. I see the incentive is still $3000 holiday/$3000 iPerformance and fleet if you have it.
I am ordering an '18 X5 xDrive40e with MSRP $82,260/invoice $76,890. Initial offer came in @ purchase price $75,990 or lease price $72,990 - but didn't give breakdown on rebates, etc.
Given the e-incentives, it *does* feel like a lease is the way to go. Given than, does the ($72,990) number above seem like a good starting point?
What would you think the MF, residual and fees to be for 10K/36mo? I'm in Seattle. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Can you please provide December MF and RV for 36/10 and 36/7.5 for 2018 X5 35i and 50i What do you think is a realistic %off MSRP to bargain for? Kevin
I also am quite confused about which package offers what and what it means and looks/functions like. Does anyone know of a place where everything is outlined all together and intuitively? Help is much appreciated Kevin

Yes, any up front cash (cap reduction, in lease-speak) is at risk if the car is stolen or totaled.

Vehicle Price: 69,935
Dealer discount: $2,315
Dealer Price: 67,620
Selling Price: 67,930 (they added mats and locks)
Sales Tax: $6,996
Docs: $150
Tag/reg: $910
Balance Due: $75,986
$5K cash down
$3,000 holiday rebate
24mos @ $1,057
30mos @ $961
36mos @ 897
My observations I'm going back with
They obviously have forgotten the fleet $1,000
The discount seems around half of what I see on here (7%-10%)
The MF looks very high...
Appreciate other thoughts here.
