LR2 is small, about same size as CR-V.

If it is that one, better off trading into an RDX for around the same price.

Never underestimate the power of snob appeal. Oh, wait, I think that's called something else these days.

Peer pressure? Good advertising? What works at the golf club?

    Oh well. . .

that is why the RDX is a reasonable choice. certainly fancier, and more "badge appeal" than a CR-V (heck of a lot quicker too!), but still with rock solid reliability and good hwy MPG. Not as "prestigious" as a LR, but nothing to be embarrassed by. plus you won't spend half your life at the dealer for the next 5 years.

One of the higher-ups where I work is on his 3rd LR in the 7 years we've worked together. He pays through the nose while he has it, then something catastrophic happens at around 100k, and what does he do? Gets another! I told him they should name a service bay after him. And to keep this habit going, he has downgraded each time. It was a Range Rover, then an LR2, and now an Evoque.

What is a realistic trade in value for a 2013 SHO with 23k miles, silver exterior, black leather, and Nav?  Very clean car.  Located in Cleveland OH and looking trade for new Maxima or Q50. Thank you,
  • qbrozenqbrozen Member Posts: 33,736
Assuming we're talking a Taurus here, and no runs, hits, or errors, you'd be looking at about $25k.

    Looking at:

    Boston
    2012 Mini Countryman FWD Base
    30K miles
    6 speed manual
Red with Black Roof and Black Leatherette
    Extended sunroof
    17" Black Alloys
    Metal Trim and Bluetooth.

Otherwise, it is completely base - manual AC, no bun warmers, nothing. At MB dealership and not certified. They have a Mini store so they may be able to certify it.

Dealer asking just under $19K which seem high.

    What say you Q?

Asking price is about appropriate for an asking price. $18k is a fair purchase price, though.

Auction prices are in the mid $15s. So I'd start them at $17k and let them "beat you up."

I just got a new job and I get to work from my home office. I rarely drive my car during the week especially since I am on a plane 2-3 weeks out of the month. While I LOVE my car, I am considering selling my car or my wife's car and just going with one car. We would save a bunch.

Any assistance in providing the black book trade-in value for the following cars would be very much appreciated:

2013 Audi A7 S-line prestige. Black with tan interior. Mileage is 29,XXX. Zip code is 57108. Only option I don't have is the heads up display

2013 Audi Allroad premium plus. White on tan interior. Same zip. Has B&O stereo and navigation. Mileage is 12,XXX

Couple of Audis.... well, I ain't the post office, as Terry used to say, so I don't know where you live, but I'll take a stab at $44k-$45k on the A7 (not many examples at auction to go on) and $30-$31k on the Allroad.

Evo... hmmm... $25k-$26k, methinks. Again, not many examples to base this on.

It's a DCT- and I hate the hole in the roof but you can't find a 135i without one unless it was custom ordered with the delete code.

now that is a sharp looking car. price seems fair.

but man, those wheels/tires would never survive the crappy roads up here (didn't QB have lots of problems with wheels cracking on his 135?)

and that radio interface is just so quaintly old fashioned.

My favorite radios are in my Jeep and Mazda- both have knobs for volume and tuning.

knobs are good. my sonata is a touch screen (which I hate, because my big old fingers are too clunky, especially while moving!) but it does have normal volume and tuning knobs underneath. plus the steering wheel controls.

I do love the giant screen. much more info, and way easier to see it (even split screen between radio and Nav)

Yes. Bent 2 and cracked 1. Those wheels are different style than mine, so who knows? Thing is, its not the size of the wheel that matters, but how strong it is. I swapped on aftermarket wheels that were also 18" and never had a problem with those.

I think it depends on the wheel, some luck, and how vigilant you are... plus, what type of tire.

I've had 18" low-profile tires on my car for 5 years and never had any wheel issues. I did blow a tire in a pothole, but that was a nearly worn out winter tire (and, 17"..).

tough one because of the miles. For trade, I think $11k is the right number, and you shouldn't see anything south of $10,500, but you COULD have someone get all silly and go as high as $12k.

For private party, you should slap on some new shoes. Advertise it for $14,995 and take $14k ... $13.5k if it sits too long.
