I was looking for your opinion on the deal I was offered 2015 428xi convertible sticker price 55500 selling price is 50600 including 1000 for bmw drive event. Total out of pocket is 2513 and payment is 605.72 for 36 months 12000 miles. I was really hoping to be under 600.00 month with up to $1500 up front is this possible or is my offer good. Thanks

If the selling price is the same as the CAP cost, then I get a payment of $574/mo.+tax. .00129 MF and 61% residual.

As noted a few posts above, 6-8% off MSRP before incentives is a good target.
just went to a dealer and the rep gave me these numbers. (california)
428i coupe m sport
36 months/ 10k
msrp: 48,100
sale price: 45,900
down: 563.30
upfront charges: 1,685.13
total cap reduction: 1,251.59
TOTAL DUE: $3,500.02
Residual : 29,877.80
MF: .00130
total monthly 521.57+tax = $563.30
is this a deal or nah?
Doesn't look that great to me.. $2200 off is no bargain...
thanks for quick reply. what would be the ideal monthly for the above price ?
when I asked for 63% the rep said the residual for June is same as last month at 62% & .00129 is this a decent deal? I feel like the monthly should be lower

With your numbers, I get $522.70/mo pre-tax; are they adding the bank fee to the selling price?

Usually getting 5-7% off sticker is pretty good; not sure where invoice lies in relationship to that.
Residual is based off MSRP (bottom number on the window sticker, including destination).
Went to a dealer in NJ and the rep gave me these numbers for 428i luxury coupe (36 months/10k)
MSRP: $52,010 Sale price:$48,900 Cap reduction:$2000
Residual value 64% ($33,286.40) & MF of .00149
First, the MF seems high. He quoted monthly + tax=$610.00 I did my calculations and $610.00 seems too high. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Is it a Coupe? Or a Gran Coupe?
If it's a Gran Coupe, the residual is correct.. but, the Coupe's residual is 2% lower.
Base MF is .00128. I can't get to their numbers, either....but, what you really need is the NET CAP cost. It's possible that the $2000 is not a CAP reduction, but just the amount due at signing, but without details, we are both just guessing.
It's a coupe. Another local dealer told me MF of 0.00129 and residual of 63%. I told the dealer I was going to put $2000 down so it should go to cap reduction (Hopefully). Is it possible that he is including acquistion fee and other charges to be included in monthly payment?

Base MF this month is .00128.
At this point, anything is possible with the numbers. You don't want to do a cap cost reduction; if the car is stolen or totaled you lose that money.
Use the $2000 for the up front costs - first payment, acquisition fee, dealer fee, license or tag costs.
Again, getting the net cap cost and understand what is included or excluded from that number will make the calculations much easier.
got a quote for 2015 435 xdrive coupe, could be consider a demo, have 75 miles on it.... MSRP $58,025 selling $49,900 $695 acq. fees rolled into. lease 36/15k $657/mo. tax included @ 7% $0 down only 1st month and doc. fee due at signing = $168+$657
At first thought payment seems high, but the MSRP is also steep, though considering the selling price.... any thoughts?

.00128 MF and 59% residual.
Adding in the $795 acq.fee, I get $567/mo.+tax.
If your state taxes the monthly payment, that's $607/mo.
So, there are some extra charges in the CAP cost and/or the money factor is marked up. (Unless your state calculates tax on the full selling price)
Currently trying to close in on a BMW lease and would appreciate to have the latest information before heading to the final negotiations. Interested in MF and Residual for:
1) 428i coupe > 36/12 > 36/10
2) 428i Gran coupe > 36/12 > 36/10
3) 428i Gran convertible > 36/12 > 36/10
Unclear if different options make a difference on the numbers for BMWs (never have leased one), so any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance for the information and any advice.

Agreed on the Gran Convertible, it was a copy/paste error.
The GC incentive explains why they're showing a slightly better deal on that one.

36mo/10k
MSRP 46,950
"discount" of 2000
adjusted price 44,950
doc fee 125
tax 2,809.38 (Texas @6.25%)
non tax fees: 231.65 (what are these?)
total 48,116.03
Monthly with zero down is $635
Thoughts? All of this was my first round of talks directly through emails with internet sales guy. I feel like the discount could be a lot better, no?
A typical discount from MSRP for BMW is 6%-8%.. plus the $1000 incentive

So, I should be aiming for an adjusted price (let's assume middle-road at 7% off MSRP) of

I'd want another $1500 off MSRP.. That would drop your after-tax payment by about $47/mo., with those same upfront charges.

I'm thinking about leasing 428i gran coupe but I want to take into account the monthly expenses after the dealership.
I'm mainly concerned with insurance. I'm 24 with no tickets or any accidents.
Any insight on what I should expect in terms of insurance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I will say that BMWs generally aren't any more expensive to insure than other compact cars.
