Can someone here tell me how they feel about this deal? 2015 X5 3.0, $65,025... Dealer gave me this week - $3000 down, $775 per month, 36 mos, 15k. What do you guys think? I didn't catch the selling price the lease was based on.
We would need to know what the selling price is before we could comment.
Also, what is the breakdown of the $3000 up front?
Current lease numbers are .00130 and 57% for 36/15 on the X5.
Where do you live? Tax obligations for a lease vary based on the state.
Thanks for reply... I'm in central NJ. Not sure what the breakdown is for upfront. But it includes tax and everything at 3000 total out of pocket. Not sure about the selling price.
Ask the dealer for those details. $3000 may be a bit much, but if it includes the sales tax, it could be about right.

I can't comment without having all the data to plug into my spreadsheet ... dealer could be fiddling with the numbers in a way that is advantageous to them.
can you please provide current lease numbers for 36/10 on the x5? also, when you get two x5s from one dealer for business, do you have more room to negotiate? I'm sure there is, but want to get an idea of how much. Thanks,

.00129 and 60% for 36/10.
The dealer sees it as two separate transactions. X5's are very popular and we don't see a lot of discounting to begin with, but if you don't ask, you don't get.

I am new to the forum and hope I am asking the right questions. I am purchasing a 2015 X5 xdrive35i. the MSRP is $69,125 including destination. I have negotiated a price of $64,667 but we have not talked financing yet. I will either lease with a 12K option or do the BMW Select. I plan on putting 2500 - 3000 down if I can. I live in Indiana. Please let me know what to expect as I have never leased a vehicle before and have not purchased a car in some time and never one of this value. What can you tell me about the BMW Select program, pros or cons?

As far as I know, the Select program is a balloon note. We don't have any of the numbers associated with it.
For a 36mo, 12K/yr lease, .00129 MF and 59% residual.
At that MSRP and selling price, the payment would be $799/mo.+tax Due at signing would be 1st payment, $795 acquisition fee and title/registration fees.

My calculations come in about $150/mo. less on each vehicle. To match up, assuming no MF markups, there would have to be about $5000 in additional CAP cost items on each one... $795 acq.fee, tax, licensing, dealer fees? I don't know how much those are in VA, but you should find out what they add up to, and if there is anything in there that doesn't look right.
Hi Folks, Looking to lease an X5 x35i for 36/10. I gather from the previous posts that the MF/RV are : 0.00129/60%.
What's the invoice price of the base X5 x35i ? Can/Would the dealer negotiate a price lower than invoice for the X5 ? I know there are the dealer roll backs from the manufacturer that ensure they aren't at a complete loss, but considering the demand would they negotiate lower than (or down/close to) invoice ?

Appreciate the help ....
Use the pricing tools (make / model / year) to help establish the target (TMV) and invoice prices.
The "Car Research" tab will show you any customer incentives on the X5.
X5's are one of the most popular cars on the market, so normal discounting for BMW's (5-7% off MSRP) may not apply.
2015 BMW X5sDrive35 Dark Graphite Metallic Aluminum running boards Backup camera
MSRP: $56,200 Selling Price: $52,300 MSD: x7 Money factor: 0.00081 (0.0013 before MSDs) 36 mo / 12k miles 59% residual California (Los Angeles) Tax 9%
$8000 total drive off ($4900 MSDs, $3100 down, tax, title, registration, 1st month pmnt) Monthly: $624 tax included
Can't calculate exactly, as some of the $3100 has to be going for CAP cost reduction, but we don't know how much ($1100 maybe?). If it's $1100, then the payment is $569/mo.+tax, which is very close to your quote.

Is X5 still too new for aggressive below Invoice deals? I also read about some $1K in-stock allowance, can anyone confirm if it's available?
I don't have any incentive information like that.
And, X5's are some of the most popular cars in the US, based on how long they stay on a dealer's lot. No incentive for dealers to offer much of a discount on them, much less anything at or below invoice.
Here is the quote I got from the dealer for 2015 X5 xdrivei35i for 10k/36mo lease: MSRP: $62700 SalePrice: $60085 MF: 0.0015 Residual: 60% My deal: $7,621.14 at signing $674/mo Illinois tax rate: 7.25%
It is worse than the BMW recommended $649/mo price. Could MF and sale price contribute to the higher rate? Could you help me to pull out the number for MF 0.0013?

What is the breakdown of the $7600 due at signing? I suspect a large chunk of that is going to cap cost reduction, which is not something we recommend. Instead, consider using that cash as MSD to buy down the MF and lower your payment. The benefit is that you get the MSD money back at the end of the lease.
Using the numbers provided (but substituting the base MF of .00130), I get a pre-tax payment of $751.04.
depreciation + due at signing = 24264 +7621(due at signing) where depreciation = $674*36
Is that the formula used for leasing tax in Illinois? The due-at-signing already includes the tax and it is taxed again. Also the downpayment got taxed twice. Not very intuitive.

Illinois tax is something like that, but I'm sure that the upfront tax is not taxed again... He has to be wrong about that...
Is the national advertisement for the X5 Xdrive35 for $659 plus tax with approximately $5k down considered a best deal or can one do better? The dealer here in AZ is telling me that the additional fees raise the out of pocket to $8k and $659/month plus tax. I can't tell if that national ad is a good deal or how much better one can negotiate? I am looking at a 36 month lease at 10k miles per year.

National or regional deals are just "OK". They usually require a hefty amount down, which we don't recommend. And, you may be able to negotiate a better selling price on your own.
Current numbers for the X5 XDrive 35 are .00130 and 60% for 36/10.
X5's are expensive to lease; they don't stay on the lot for very long so there isn't much discounting available.
