I'm going to order one 2015 X5 x35i this month since some dealers told me the 2016 model is coming next month which nothing upgraded but higher price. The one I want to build currently is as follows: X5 35i Xdrive - $56,200 M-Sport - $4,500 Exterior: Mineral White Metallic - $550 Interior: Black Dakota Leather Trim: Aluminum Hexagon Trim Cold Weather Pkg - $550 Drivers Assistance Plus - $1,900 Drivers Assistance Package - $1,400 Lighting Package - $1,900 Premium Package - $2,550 ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant - $1200 Enhanced USB and Bluetooth plus Smartphone Integration - $500 Harmon Kardon Sound - $875 Rear Manual Side Window Shades - $250 Parking Assistant - $500 Ceramic Controls - $650 Soft-Close Automatic Doors - $600 Destination and Handling - $950 Total MSRP as built - $75,075
The best offer I got so far is $69,000 before tax and I gonna lease it as 3 year 15k/year. Please really advise on the numbers such as RV%, MF, Acquistion Fee, Tire Insurance. I live in NJ which has 7% sales tax and I will put 7 MSD to reduce the MF, 0 down payment though. If possible please let me know the final monthly payment.
Great thank you. Do you see any other inefficientcies in the pricing? I'm about 8-9K miles from going over on my current lease miles on the Q50 and need a SUV. Thoughts?
You didn't give the MSRP, so we don't know the discount you are getting... I was blinded by the $11K. lol

They are low-balling you on your trade-in. Check the KBB trade-in value for your car. If your trade-in value is indeed that low then go to Infiniti and get a SUV from there, I am sure they can give you a better trade-in value since they can actually move your Q50 (they don't have to sell your car to another dealer in an auction like the BMW dealer has to).
Hello all, I am looking into leasing an X5. I'm currently in NC but moving to WA.
I negotiated the following and was hoping to get some feedback on anything I should try and adjust. Also, is there any benefit to purchasing in WA as opposed to both in NC? Do the lease terms vary from state to state? The tax is 9.9% monthly in WA but I believe it's 3% up front in NC. Of course, I would then have to put a bunch of miles driving it cross country.

The acquisition fee goes to the leasing bank. The base fee for BMW is $795. This dealer has marked up the fee to $995 for extra profit.
The money factor for June with 7 MSDs should be .00079
The calculations are correct, but I'm wondering about that tax calculation.. If it's paid upfront, it seems like it would be a bigger amount added to the CAP cost. Does NC only tax the lease payment or the full selling price?
I'm not sure what your upfront sales tax is, either.. since upfront costs are minimal. I'm guessing that the $672 is for title/registration and a dealer fee.
I'd worry about paying a chunk of change for NC taxes upfront, and then still having to pay tax on the payment when you get to Washington..
Are there MF/Residuals out for a 2016 X5D? My CA told me that I may have to order a '16 now and I don't want to get stuck with higher payments if the rates and residuals are not as good as a '15. Thanks!

I get the same pre-tax payment. Base MF and a decent discount from sticker; only way to do better is to negotiate a better selling price or use MSD to buy down the MF.
Great thank you. Do you see any other inefficientcies in the pricing? I'm about 8-9K miles from going over on my current lease miles on the Q50 and need a SUV. Thoughts?
Clarify that statement a little more...are you 8-9k miles over your TOTAL lease allowance or 8-9k over where you should be? In either event, how many months are left on your Infiniti lease? Did your driving habits change to the point that leasing is now a more viable option? If you're still racking up miles like crazy, perhaps getting into another lease isn't the best idea,
My suggestion is to try to find someone to take over your Infiniti lease. There are several websites out there to advertise a lease for takeover. If you're over the miles, it makes your car less appealing, so you'd need to offer someone an incentive. For example, if you offered to give them $5k cash to take over your lease that is 9k miles over, assuming Infiniti charges around $0.25/mile over, they'd be looking at $2,250 in overage fees from the beginning plus whatever they put on the car themselves. It would be a hard sell but you'd come out far better than eating $11k in equity. I had someone assume my Cadillac ATS lease the first day I listed it, granted it was far under mileage. It's worth a try, but I honestly can't imagine absorbing 11 grand into a lease would be the best financial move...you have to consider other options.
Hope to close a deal on 2015 X5 x35i recently. So here is a deal quote from dealer:

It is California. Besides the MF, any other issues? Please advice. Thanks.
Sales tax on a lease in California is applied to the monthly payment, not calculated up front.
hi, are the mf and residual numbers the same in july as they are in june? If not what are they for 36months/12k and 36 months/ 15k? Im in southern california. Thank you in advance

I've got this quote today.
MSRP - 60950
Sale price - 56500
0 down
Acquisition fee - 925
Doc fee - 285
Registration - 150
MF after 7 * MSD - 0.0009
Residual - %58
They said $699 + tax monthly payments. I think this is too much.
Thoughts?
Are you paying the fees up front or adding them into the cap cost?
also, the MF after MSD should be .00081 not .0009 so they are marking up the MF on you.
Its a DEMO car, 2015 xdrive 35i, has 7000 miles on it MSRP 61850, Sell price 54000 (I am not sure if they can use my 1000$ UDE credit, than it would come down to 53000)
7 MSDs and all basic bank/dealer fees up front ( should be around $1300)
10K miles, 36 months. They are extending warranty till 5 years and 75k miles, although that does not really matter if I am leasing for 3 years. Monthly 558 + 7% tax = $598. I can bring it down by some $30/month if I can find out about using UDE credit. I guess MF would be 0.00079 and Residual 59% (dont know july numbers though)
How does this look. I dont know how to bring the 7000 miles factor into account. I am also getting full 30K miles to use in 3 years, so I am not loosing any miles so far.. Any thoughts??

The residual is 58% minus either $0.20 or $0.30 per mile for the 7000 miles. (I've seen both.. think maybe it's gone back to $0.20/mile). MF this month is .00130 so the 7 MSD MF is .00081
At those numbers (55.75% residual to account for miles), I get $613/mo.+tax..
If their quote is $558/mo.+tax, then that is really good. Beware of money due at signing, once you get in the finance office.
$2000 out of pocket (includes first month payment; lease worksheet says $1426.75, advanced payment/first month payment $653; due on delivery $2079.75 but dealership is giving me a $79.75 "rebate") $599/month + tax ($653/month) 36 months 10k miles

Is this a good deal?
Thanks!
I also get $599/mo before tax, so if you're comfortable with the selling price, no reason not to do the deal.
You can also use MSD to buy down the MF and save a bit on the monthly payment - the good news is that you'll get the MSD money back at the end of the lease.
Lease for 24 months for 10k/12k miles will be good decision....reason being my current Visa extension.....I heard BMW strictly go with current I94 period only.......

With your numbers and the base MF, I get a payment of $811 with tax.

MF after 7 * MSD - 0.0009

They said $699 + tax monthly payments. I think this is too much.
Thoughts?
also, the MF after MSD should be .00081 not .0009 so they are marking up the MF on you.

Tell them you won't sign a deal unless the base MF is used, before MSDs.

Its a DEMO car, 2015 xdrive 35i, has 7000 miles on it
MSRP 61850, Sell price 54000 (I am not sure if they can use my 1000$ UDE credit, than it would come down to 53000)
7 MSDs and all basic bank/dealer fees up front ( should be around $1300)
10K miles, 36 months. They are extending warranty till 5 years and 75k miles, although that does not really matter if I am leasing for 3 years. Monthly 558 + 7% tax = $598. I can bring it down by some $30/month if I can find out about using UDE credit. I guess MF would be 0.00079 and Residual 59% (dont know july numbers though)
How does this look. I dont know how to bring the 7000 miles factor into account. I am also getting full 30K miles to use in 3 years, so I am not loosing any miles so far.. Any thoughts??
At those numbers (55.75% residual to account for miles), I get $613/mo.+tax..
If their quote is $558/mo.+tax, then that is really good. Beware of money due at signing, once you get in the finance office.

MSRP $58950
Sale price $51736.49
MF 0.00130
Residual 58% ($34191.00)
$2000 out of pocket (includes first month payment; lease worksheet says $1426.75, advanced payment/first month payment $653; due on delivery $2079.75 but dealership is giving me a $79.75 "rebate")
$599/month + tax ($653/month)
36 months
10k miles
Is this a good deal?
Thanks!
You can also use MSD to buy down the MF and save a bit on the monthly payment - the good news is that you'll get the MSD money back at the end of the lease.
