$699 doc fee? Guessing this is Florida? The money factor is correct. Are you sure it's 15K/yr? The 36/15 residual is 60%. 63% would indicate 10K/yr. What is the amount due at signing?
Yes FL :(  Zero out of pocket)
You are correct residual is 63% and this is sign and drive no starts

Can someone provide the money factor on a one time payment and let me know any thoughts on the deal.

    About to pull the trigger.

    C300 4matic P1 Pano roof
    MSRP: 46,840.00
    Selling: 41,727.40
    Gross Cap: 42,902.40
    Residual: 00.63
    MF: 00.00056

It looks like you are getting the One-Pay discount of .00080 off of the subvented rate of .00136.

That almost never happens. usually, the One-Pay reduction is only available off of the standard rate.
What is the payment and money due upfront?

About $463/mo. including tax is a pretty good payment for that lease.

I think some of the fees are being rolled into the cap cost. If I use the MSRP and selling price as is, along with the .00136 MF and 63% residual, I get $427/mo after tax.

First, security deposits for MB are available only if the standard MF is being used. If it's supported in any way (that is, less than the standard MF of .00180-.00210) then MSDs are not allowed. Nor are they allowed in NY State, by law.

As far as the particulars go, we don't have any hard details, but lots of folks have shared what they were able to negotiate - I do believe that a maximum of 10 can be applied, and each one reduces the MF by .00005

You can use MSDs to buy down the MF, or negotiate a bigger discount from sticker.

Hello. Would appreciate it if you could check my numbers on the following offer for a 36/10k lease on a C300W4 (AWD):
    MSRP $46,840
    Sales Price: $40,904
    Residual @ 63%: $29,509.2
Destination & Delivery: $925 (this is already included in the Sales Price)
Fees: $595 (Doc, Filing, License, Title)
    VA Taxes (Gross Receipts 0.2%+Sales 4.05%+Service 2.65%)=6.9%
    Money Factor: .00136 and .00180

I get a monthly payment of $443 and $473 respectively.
The dealer quoted .00180 and I want to get closer to .00136 so that's why I'm looking at the spread between the two.
    Did I calculate that correctly?
I'm not sure where to put some of this info on the Edmunds calculator so I created a spreadsheet based on the online lease article.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks!

Well.. a spreadsheet is always better..

Where is the acquisition fee? It's $795 base and dealer can mark it up to as much as $1095.

The other $595 in fees... Are you paying those upfront, or are they in the CAP cost?

VA taxes: What is "Service 2.65%". That's a big number. Also, I think VA charges tax on the full selling price of the car, so you'll have to add that into the CAP cost or pay it upfront.. it's not a tax on the monthly payment, so probably a lot bigger number than you are giving it.

The difference between the two money factors is about $30/mo.. you have that part right, so your spreadsheet is set up correctly.. Just need to know what amounts are paid upfront and what amounts are in the CAP cost.

    CarMan,
    Thanks for the feedback.
Great question on the Service tax... I don't know. If that's a "hidden" fee, I wouldn't know. Do you know what type of Tax rate I should see for VA?

Based on the documention I've seen from the dealer all of the fees that I'm seeing are included in the Net Sales Price. They're being ambiguous on giving me a line by line quote. I've been given a Net Sales Price and a quote for a monthly payment so I don't know if the fees are included in the price or not. I'm not doing any kind of cap cost reduction.

    Would appreciate any other advice.
    Thanks!

Look at it this way .. we know the dealer has marked up the MF on you. Now they seem unwilling to break down the numbers to get a clear understanding of how they calculate the net cap cost and taxes.

Perhaps it's time to seek out a different MB dealer.

That's what was footnoted in a pricing offer:
    VA Taxes (Gross Receipts 0.2%+Sales 4.05%+Service 2.65%)=6.9%

Looks like only 4.05% of that is Sales Tax, but I'm not sure if the 6.9% is a standard VA tax rate for leases, or if the dealer is marking up the rate with extra charges. I tried searching online and can't find a difinitive answer on tax rates in VA for leases.

Reach out to a second MB dealer in VA and ask them what the tax obligations are for a lease. Compare to what the first dealer is telling you.

I am thinking of purchasing the c400 because the lease terms are not as good as the 300. I was quoted $47k with the $2500 USAA rebate on a sticker of $55.2k. Is that enough of a discount. Is that a good deal?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi guys,
I need some advice to judge how good this deal is for the C300. This is the base + premium pkg + pano roof + misc stuff.

This will be a 3 year 10k/yr miles lease.

    Price : $45125
    Delivery : $925
    Total MSRP: $46050

Drive away (including 1st month payment) : $2500 (covers all fees etc.)
    Monthly : $413.80 + 36.20( 8.75% tax) = $450

    Residual Value : $29011 (63% of MSRP)

The dealer hinted that he is willing to bring the monthly further down, but I said I needed a day or so to think.

Is this a good deal? Is there room for negotiation? If so, what should be my strategy?
Are there any addons that I can ask for in the negotiation like include paid future servicing etc?

P.S.:I do not have the MF spelled out from the dealer and it would be great if someone can tell me how to calculate it from the given info.

I don't track selling prices; you may want to read back through the last couple of pages in this thread to see what kind of discount others are getting on the C400.

    .00136 and 63% for 36/10.

Using your MSRP and Final Price, I get a payment of $478.53/mo. How much of the $2373 going to cap cost reduction?

.00136 and 63% for 36 months, 10,000 miles per year.

We would need to know the negotiated selling price in order to model a payment for you. It's not a good idea to negotiate the payment - too much opportunity for the dealer to manipulate the numbers in their favor.

Hi wondering if you had feedback on the following deal on a C300 4-Matic Sport 36mo/12K:

    MSRP: $48,255
    3yr Maintenance Package: $975
    Discount: $2,571
Fleet Discount (apparently a discount due to my employer): $2,500
    Sales price: $43,154
Tax: $47.95 per month (7% county tax & 3% state tax)
    Tags: $157.15
Doc Fees or other Dealer Fees: $134
    Acq Fee. $895
    Residual: 62%
    MF .00136

    Payment: $527.44
Due at Signing: $1803 (must be tax, tag, acq, doc, and the rest being a cap cost reduction)

Overall, It think the lease details are reasonable but perhaps the discount could increase. Also, what is the additional discount for setting up autopay?

    Thanks!

With the numbers you've provided, I get a payment of $513.75 after 10% tax. There is about $500 unaccounted for somewhere.

Acquisition fee is marked up $100, FWIW.

Autopay discount is .0001 on the MF, or .00126; this would save about $5-10/mo on the payment.
