When everyone is getting their price quotes, is this AFTER they have run your credit?

I am trying to find the best deal, but they want to run my credit, which I'd rather not happen each time I go to a new dealer. Can I just bring in a report or something?

They should be able to give you a quote without pulling your credit anything they should be concerned about?

No, I have good credit. It just seems like they won't give me any real offers until my credit is run. It makes sense though. How could they give me a smoking deal without looking at my credit first?

Like the people on here posting the deals they are getting offered. What if when they take the deal and the dealer finds out they have horrible credit, do they retract the deal?

All offers are contingent on qualifying for credit.. So, yeah.. if you don't qualify, they retract and/or adjust the offer. If your credit is good, you have nothing to worry about on that front. Dealers can do a lot of shady things, but lying about your credit is not one of them.

Ah ok, does a 800 credit score get that much better a deal than say a 750 credit score?

    Miles: 15,000
    Term Lease: $350.00/mo. (incl. tax)

I feel good about the deal. I go in tomorrow or Saturday to finalize. If I look at the lease agreement and all these factors are in place is there anyway I can get screwed? I guess I'm kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop on this deal.

Please help me if I missed something! Thank you!

No... if the figures all match (check the term and mileage allowance), then it looks really good.

Hi I live in So. Cal. and my current G37 lease is going to be up in early August. I am Way over my current alloted mileage by 11,000mi. :(
I explained this to my local dealer and they said they would work with me on rolling that into a new Q50 lease.
Here is what they are offering. I don't know if it's good or bad or how to figure this out. :( Is there something else I should request or ask of them?
Please Help!! I want to complete a deal by end of day tomorrow.

    Q50 prem package
    MSRP 42145
    Sale price 35990
    Money factor .00032
    Residual 52%
    15K
    $1000 owner loyalty
    $1000 total cash from you
Pay off $2990 overmiles and payment (500 wear and tear credit from Infiniti)
    39 @ 436 + tax

First, I confirm the .00032 MF and 52% residual for 39/15.

Leaving the trade in aside for a moment, and using just your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $379.42. Adding 9% tax takes the payment to $413.56.

I assume the $1000 loyalty is built into the selling price; if not, subtract about $28/mo from the pre-tax payment I calculated.

Next, how are you paying for the bank fee and the other up front costs? Just the $1000? Doesn't seem like enough, so some of that may be rolled into the lease.

Next, the mileage charges. $2990 over 39 months is about $77/mo; no way the dealer can quote you $436 before tax if that is getting added into the lease. So, perhaps they are eating some of that cost.

I'd ask them for the net cap cost and a detailed breakdown of the money due at signing - there seems to be some fuzzy math going on and I'd hate to see you surprised with a much bigger payment quote because "oops, we forgot ... "

Hello. I was looking for MF and residual for a 2015 Q50S Hybrid AWD. Lease terms 39 mos/12k
and 39 mo/12k per year. I am in Dallas. Car is loaded, was quoted 710 a month with 1k down plus first month payment...MSRP at 56,300 and selling price was 51,800 residual of 54% quoted. Seemed way higher than others are paying although I have not seen any deals posted for the q50s AWD hybrid so was wondering if the mf may be higher? Thanks for your input!

39/12 numbers are .00023 and 54%. Using your MSRP and selling price I get a payment of $567.57/mo. However, in Texas the entire selling price is subject to sales tax, so that will increase your payment quite a bit.

$35990.00 is the cap cost (sells price)
1000.00 loyalty cash and your 1000.00 will cover the down payment, plus the first months payment including tax, also the first years license fees.
2990.00 is set-up in the lease to cover your over miles. What I do not know is where you are in your miles. The new lease is built around 15,000 miles

I think I've got everything you ask. If I missed something just let me know.

The statement "2990 is set up in your lease to cover your over miles" tells me that they are adding this into the cap cost over and above the selling price. It's not just going away - you are paying for those miles every month of your new lease. And paying interest on it as well.

The cap cost is not the same as the selling price.

Can someone tell me a little about this "loyalty rebate" that's been mentioned? Is that dealer specific, or does Infiniti offer any rebates to current leaseholders? Currently lease a QX60 but am considering leasing a Q50. Can't seem to find anything on the Edmunds rebate page, and not much comes up when I google it. Thanks in advance.

Subtract 1% from the residual for 39 months.

A leasing expert is looking for a new car shopper in the Seattle area who needs help navigating the leasing process. The expert will help you go through the leasing process from start to finish for free in exchange for taking a few pictures and/or video of the experience with leasing a new car using an iPhone app. If interested, please send an email to stever@edmunds.com.

What is the current rates for a Premium FWD in Southern California 39/10, 39/15 Is there 42/48 month rates? (premise being using sub 1% rate instead of 1.9% loan to buy the car, at least for the first 4 years, then payoff or refinance if plan to purchase from the start)

    I'll assume you want RWD..

    .00032 MF and 52% residual for 39mo, 15K/yr. Add 3% for 10K/yr.

Terms longer than 39 months have no support.

Once you factor in the $700 acquisition fee, then it's doubful leasing to own will save you any money over a straight purchase from the beginning.

I dont know if its just the Maryland area but im not getting any of these kind of deals around here.
Im new to leasing so maybe they can read that. But in order for me to get in the $300-$350 a month they are telling me that I need 6K-7500 to achieve my asking monthly payments. The 6k-7500 includes taxes, tags fees, acquisition fees, destination and process fees. Q50 im looking at is AWD premium MSRP 43500.
What do i need to ask to get the down payment much lower and maintain the $325 monthly payment.

Maryland is a "full-tax" state for leases. You have to pay the full amount of sales tax, just as if you were purchasing the vehicle. 6% on a $45K car is $2700. Compare that to a state that just taxes the monthly payment 6% on $350/mo. X 36 months = $756.

So, that puts you $2000 behind a lot of other deals, just from the start.

    License: 196.00

    Term: 39 months
    Bank fee: 700

i think they can do better somewhere...also have a trade in, considering trading it in but I would have 2500 of negative equity. what do you think? thanks!

I think you can definitely do better on a lease. Money factor looks like the issue, they marked it up a bit. I am looking to lease a Q50 too and everyone has been very helpful. From what I have seen here, based on the trim you are looking at, you should be able to get your payments easily below 400 (depending on your state and if they tax the whole sales price or just lease payments) with only first months payment due.

On your trade, have you looked into CarMax for trading in? They may come closer to your current equity. I was in a similar situation last year, I was looking trade in my 2012 Touareg, I stilled owed 43k on the loan. Dealers were offering me between 29 to 33k! I went to Carmax and they offered me 40k. I used that as trade leverage and most dealers offered to match the Carmax proposal, not all but most. Although, since I am not sure what the trade in value of your car is, your tax savings (if you just trade the car into Infiniti) may offset some or all of the negative equity in what more Carmax will give you. You may do better there, worth considering, the appraisal is hassle free and free.

Can you please share 36/10, 36/12 and 24/10 residuals and MFs for the 2015 Q50 AWD Premium? Also, are there any lease incentives for August?
    Thanks!

I owe $14k my car is worth maybe $12,500 as it is re-certifiable. I'm not sure how they got those numbers...I got another offer on a 2015 Genesis AWD 3.8L MSRP of 45k to 39k sale price with first month payment, trade in included for $359 a month.

I'll assume this is AWD at 39mo, 12K/yr?

With your numbers, and adding the $700 acq.fee to the CAP cost, I get $393/mo.+tax.
