I was a little surprised the monthly was so high, but the tax is included in that. I'm going to ask if I can just pay that upfront instead of having it rolled out. Also, I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm in Illinois.

That tax amount seems high. IL changed their laws a year or two ago and now only assess tax on the sum of the payments.
Unless you live in Cook County, then you also pay tax on the payment each month.
Yes, you can choose to pay the taxes up front to lower the monthly payment.
If I add tax and $925 acq.fee to your selling price, I get $613/mo. with .00088 MF.
Verify the money factor with the dealer. They might be marking it up, before giving you the MSD reduction.
I've asked several times about the money factor and I have been assured that it's at the reduced rate of 0.00088. I haven't seen it on paper though, but I don't think they would lie about it. I'm just confused about how they're getting the number they're getting.
I received a new number from them today after telling them I would like to play for the tax upfront and including the $1000 Recent Grad rebate. They said the monthly would be $565-576. I'm going to stop in tomorrow and go over the number and get more details than what they gave me today (attached below).
If they want to prove the money factor, they could give you a screenshot of the deal on their computer. Unfortunately, the actual lease contract doesn't disclose the money factor.
It's a pretty simple calculation, but not if they keep hiding the numbers.
I did some calculations and I think the only explanation is that they are including some extra fees to the Cap Cost (possibly acquisition fee). I'll have them break it down for me when I meet with them tomorrow. I'd rather pay for it all upfront rather than having it folded in and being charged interest.
(Adjusted Cap Cost - Residual) / # months = Monthly Depreciation (Adjusted Cap Cost + Residual) x Money Factor = Monthly Rent (aka interest)

I was able to get $10k off the $62k sticker price of a 2014 535 when I negotiated a lease in September 2014. Any chance I can get that type of percentage off for a 3-series now or next month as they are clearing out the model year? I got 16% off MSRP, which is much more than the typical 7% off mentioned on these boards recently.

We don't really track selling prices, and the 7% is an advisory number. If you can get more of a discount, more power to you!
I'm looking at leasing a 3 or maybe 2 series now but the monthly payments being reported on these threads are shocking compared with the baseline I had with the 535. (M-sport, premium, etc.) for $550 including tax for 3 years 30k miles. Trying to reconcile why quoted prices are higher nowadays or if I really did negotiated better than I thought back then.

Most likely, they had promotions to push the 5-series at that time (like they do now).
Hi, are there any lease credits being offered on the 2016 BMW 328i in California? I understand there is a $3000 credit being offered on the 330 and was wondering if there was anything being offered on the 328i

New to this great forum. What's the MF and Residual for 2016 320i in florida. 36 months, 10k/year. Thanks for your help.

Hi, are the rates the same for any 2016 3 series? The dealer yesterday quoted me 66% for a 2016 320i @ 12k/year. Not sure if he misquoted me. What would be the MF and residual for a 340i @ 12k/yr for 36 months ? Thanks in advance !

All 2016 3-series have the same numbers this month...
I'm looking to possibly lease another 3. I'd really appreciate some help with my numbers.
For a 340i, with MSRP at 55745 and sell price at 50000, here are my calculations:
Lease terms: 36/15k; max MSDs; tire warranty of 1350 rolled in.
[50000 - (.63 x 55745)] / 36 = 413.35 [50000 + (.63 x 55745)] x .00088 = 74.91 Monthly: 488.26 Tire warranty: 1350 / 36 = 37.5 New monthly: 525.76 New monthly with tax at 9%: 573.08
Fees aren't included but I'm assuming with fees, it can't go past a max of 1500. 1500 / 36 = 41.67. With tax, 45.42.
Would the monthly be approximately 618.50 with tire warranty and all fees rolled in after taxes? This number seems low to me. I guess the inflated residual has a lot to do with it or my calculations are completely off. =T
Also is the acquistion fee the same as "destination and handling" for which BMW is charging 995 and is this fee usually rolled into the cost of the car?
I ask because piokor06 has much lower fees at approx 400, granted he/she is in another state. Still, no acquisition fee? Lucky...
Anything you are rolling into the payment needs to be added to your $50K selling price, so that you are applying the money factor to it.
The acquisition fee is $925. I'd roll that in, as well.
Destination fees are part of the MSRP. Any price should include the destination fee. It's not typically a fee that you pay separately.
On another note, stick your $1350 into the bank, and pay for tire/wheel problems, as needed. That's an insurance policy and claims are likely to be a pain. Plus, it probably has a maximum payout of $5K, anyway. It's a big profit center for the dealership, and your chances of coming out ahead on that are slim.

Understood. Thank you.
As far as tire warranty goes, I've actually benefited quite a bit from the warranty. Since BMW has run flats and I'm prone to getting nails in tires, the $50 deductible per visit (no tire limit) has been quite helpful especially when each tire runs about 400. And each time, it's been headache-less. Additionally, I get to save miles when I leave my car at the shop since I am on a lease. =P But definitely not worth it if you don't get nails at all.
I am in the midst of negotiating a lease and had a question regarding the money factor, the corporate fleet program, and MSDs. As I understand it, the corporate fleet program would reduce my money factor by .0002. Additionally, maximum MSDs would bring my rate down .00049 (7 x .00007), which if combined would bring rate from .00137 to .00068. However, the dealership is telling me that the minimum the money factor can be reduced to is .00088. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Either they aren't giving you the corporate rate, or they are, but marking up the MF, before applying the discount. (taking your discount for themselves, as it were).

Top credit + max MSD + corporate fleet has to bring you to .00068. Can confirm that this is the case.
First time lease so a thanks for all this info. Looking for Residual & MF for a 2016 CPO 328i xDrive. And do I calculate off of price I'm settling on now or an earlier price as it's got about 9k already on it?

If it's a demo/loaner car, then .00137 MF and 63% residual for 36/15. Then subtract $0.25/mi. from the residual.
If it's a used car, then I don't have the numbers.

I have heard that the residual is the same as the leasing programs, and the finance rate is the same as the current BMW financing promotion rate.
If so, I would be interested in these for the BMW 328i for 36/10k and 24/10k
Thanks
Select Financing at 0.90% APR
(I'd verify this with the dealer)
Residuals are the same as leasing and are 66%/72%.

I'm looking to possibly lease another 3. I'd really appreciate some help with my numbers.
For a 340i, with MSRP at 55745 and sell price at 50000, here are my calculations:
Lease terms: 36/15k; max MSDs; tire warranty of 1350 rolled in.
[50000 - (.63 x 55745)] / 36 = 413.35
[50000 + (.63 x 55745)] x .00088 = 74.91
Monthly: 488.26
Tire warranty: 1350 / 36 = 37.5
New monthly: 525.76
New monthly with tax at 9%: 573.08
Fees aren't included but I'm assuming with fees, it can't go past a max of 1500. 1500 / 36 = 41.67. With tax, 45.42.
Would the monthly be approximately 618.50 with tire warranty and all fees rolled in after taxes? This number seems low to me. I guess the inflated residual has a lot to do with it or my calculations are completely off. =T
