If your selling price is your cap cost, I get $340/mo.
Therefore, we need to know the adjusted cap cost when the taxes and fees are added in.

Hi. Looking to lease a 328ix WAGON. In Los Angeles area. MSRP 57070. Dealer offered to me at 51615 (10%). Work for small company so no corp fleet discount, and currently not part of BMWCCA but could join. Questions: 1. How much should I target for discount off MSRP? 2. What is the money factor and residual rate for 36month, 12K miles/yr please? 3. What holdbacks or cash is the dealer getting from BMW I should be aware of?

1) 10% off looks good 2) .00137 MF and 65% residual 3) None that we know of.
Joining BMWCCA won't help. You have to be a member for one year, to be eligible for their rebates.
Thanks! Shopped around a bit. 10% discount looks like common going rate on all 2016 wagons. Found slightly better from one dealer. Was advised the car had been "punched" as a demo - but it has only 12 miles. Same residual rates and MF. Question: Is there any reason I should steer clear of this on a lease?

Just make sure the warranty doesn't expire before your lease does.
After playing with the numbers a bit on my spreadsheet I realized that the cash surplus is an expense and the numbers are now close to the dealer numbers.
Is a $1,000 driveoff expense and a "total add cap cost" fee of $925 typical or is the dealer playing the "hide the fees" game?

$925 is the acquisition fee - part of every BMW lease.
$1000 is about right for the other up front costs.

What are number for Sept for a 320i for 36/12. Thank you,
.00136 MF and 61% residual
That appears to be incorrect per BMW's website, unless they have regional offers this month. The residual for 36/12K would be 65% with a base MF of 0.00127 in California.

Hi there! Wondering kind of monthly I can expect on a 2016 328i in Southern California, MSRP $50,495 negotiated down to $45,125. Looking at either 3yr/30k miles, or 3yr/36k with either $0 down or $2000 down.

Ok so I'm at the final negotiating phrase with the dealership, could someone explain to me "Customer cash" and "min drive off" please. So do I just pay the drive off quote which usually include the first month fee, acq fee+ tax? or does that include "customer cash" + "min drive off" ? Does customer cash mean money down? Cause I didn't want to put money down at all. Please let me know. Thank you.
So is 65% and .00136 the new numbers for 36mo/12k starting today or are they still the old ones from August? I know the numbers were staying the same through the holiday weekend. Thanks!

Minimum drive-off is the amount due at signing. Customer Cash is usually the actual amount that the customer is paying at signing. Any shortage gets added to the CAP cost.

Those are the new numbers. $1500 option allowance.
Looking to lease a 328d Wagon (previous loaner car)
MSRP $55,000 Sale Price $47,000
The dealer wants $398 a month + tax with $3,888 drive off. 10k miles a year
residual is 66%
money factor is .00157
Can I jump on this deal? I tried to negotiate but they only budged down $500 from a sale price to $47,000
Does not look like a good deal:
1. Money factor is marked up; base is .00136 this month 2. I think you should get more of a discount; how many miles are on it? 3. What does the drive off include? Get a full break down 4. What state and tax rate is this? 5. The calculated residual is deducted .25 for each mile on the car.

The car has 4,000 miles on it. I'm trying to get a full break down of a drive off. Also I'm in Los Angeles, California.
By the way. I did a bit of research and knew that the MF for this car is .00136. I told the salesperson that and he said "you are right, but .00157 is the money factor for the previous loaner car"... I have no idea that he is lied to me about it or not.

If the car hasn't been titled, it is eligible for new car lease rates. Therefore, .00136 can be used.

I'm not sure I understand what your "net cap cost" represents - the residual amount is $38,838.
With your MSRP and sell price, I get $597/mo with 6.25% tax added in.
I'd get a full accounting of the $4000 due at signing. Not certain that the cap reduction is correct.
People mention a target % off of MSRP to target for the selling price, does that take into account the option allowance and loyalty credit? For example, a previous post stated that 7% was a benchmark, is that prior to adding allowance and credit, thereby rendering an even lower selling price, or does that take into account the allowance and credit.
I am getting an offer for a selling price of $5821.61 off of MSRP on a 2016 328, but this takes into account my option allowance of $1500 and the $1500 corp discount. the loyalty credit is applied as a rebate.
Does BMW reimburse the dealer for the option allowance, corp discount and loyalty credit? If so it seems as though they are not shaving much off of the MSRP. Should I aim for 7%, then apply the credit and discount?

7% + other incentives..
Not sure about the corporate discount, but loyalty and option allowances come directly from BMW.
Just leased a brand new 2016 328i and got what I felt is an amazing deal in Northern California, so wanted to share with you all in case any of you are in the market for something similar. Keep in mind I qualified for both loyalty and fleet discounts, which helped get the cap cost down. Here is the lease breakdown:
MSRP: $45,895 Selling Price: $37,441 (includes fleet and loyalty) Acq Fee: $925 Cap Cost: $38,366 MF: 0.00116 (includes 0.00020 fleet reduction) Term: 36 Miles/yr: 10,000 Residual %: 66% Residual Value: $30,290.70 Base Payment: $303.96 Monthly Tax: $25.84 (tax of 8.5%) Total Payment: $329.79
This was a true "sign and drive" in that I did not pay any money out of pocket at lease signing. First payment and registration were rolled into the cap cost. Overall, I felt this was a great deal for a $46K car (especially with nothing due out of pocket at signing) and we are very happy with the purchase.
I should add that we decided against putting down MSDs due to the fact that we will likely transfer out of the lease before the end of the term. Therefore, finding someone to front the MSD cost during a transfer would be difficult.

Monthly Tax: $25.84 (tax of 8.5%)
Total Payment: $329.79
This was a true "sign and drive" in that I did not pay any money out of pocket at lease signing. First payment and registration were rolled into the cap cost. Overall, I felt this was a great deal for a $46K car (especially with nothing due out of pocket at signing) and we are very happy with the purchase.
I should add that we decided against putting down MSDs due to the fact that we will likely transfer out of the lease before the end of the term. Therefore, finding someone to front the MSD cost during a transfer would be difficult.
