We don't track selling prices, so can't tell you if that discount is possible.

2 questions which I need help with:

1. Is the BMW Pull ahead program dead these days? I am trying to get a 328xi by turning in my 2014 X3 6 months ahead of lease termination but none of the dealers in NJ seem to be interested in waiving off the remaining payments on X3? Am I nuts in expecting such a thing or are they just playing hard ball? I did use the same program to get X3 in 2014 6 months ahead of lease termination and all the remaining 6 payments on my 328xi got waived back then.

2. what's a good discount percentage to expect on 320xi and 328xi these days? is 16% off MSRP too unrealistic to expect? so for a 42k MSRP car, a selling price in the range of 36k is practical or no?

I get the same payment you do. Confirm the adjusted cap cost with the dealer - might be something added in there you aren't paying up front.

And, you aren't getting much of a discount, before the incentives. You might be able to do better there, as well.

That was actually the best pre-incentives discount I got out of the 4 dealerships in the area. Anyway to approach that besides just getting them to try to top each other? Waiting to hear on the Adjusted Cap Cost for that one, another dealer gave me $3,695 upfront for fees and taxes and hit the $375/month on a slightly higher MSRP of $47,060.

Determine a target selling price you would be comfortable with. Tell each of the dealers the first one to meet that numbers gets your CC # to make a deposit.

The problem is that as inventory shrinks, the odds favor the dealer again. They aren't as likely to offer the big discounts you may have seen a month or two ago.

Okay, great. From reading through posts, I know that prices aren't tracked here. However, being that I don't have any additional applicable incentives like loyalty, fleet, etc., do you feel as though this is a reasonable deal for a 2016 model?

Using your numbers, I get $432/mo. Have the dealer provide you with the adjusted cap cost.

Yes it is, however for whatever reason, they are marking it down 0.0001; even showed me the computer screen showing .00126 in the worksheet. Adjusted cap is $47,750 with NJ sales tax (7%) and acquisition rolled in.

Now the payment is $464/mo. Not sure how the dealer is getting to $499/mo. That's about $1200-1300 more

$494/mo for a $52K car is a pretty good deal. For BMW, anything above 7% discount from sticker is good, before incentives.

All, I just wanted to follow up. Here is my final deal. Picking up the car on Saturday. I went to a different dealer who offered me a better car.

2016 328i xDrive w/SULEV Sedan
MSRP $46635.00
Not sure what the final negotiated price came out to because I just had them beat the other dealer's price and thats all I was concerned with. However, here are some other details:

36/12k lease
$380.00 a month including New York State tax (Long Island). Got Fleet discount.
481.47 + DMV fees down =$731.47 total down.
Lease Acquistion Fee rolled in.

It's a customer rebate. Probably already factored into your sale price.

OK. If I have a line on a 328d wagon, I know the MSRP - 53,275. They're offering the car at 9% off retail. Assuming the car is 65% residual for a 3 year, 12k lease, then what am I looking at in terms of payment?

I keep seeing ads on the BMW page for 369/mo, but this looks much higher to me: I'm getting in the low 500s for a monthly payment. How do I get from here to there or below? Thanks all!
