My apologies...we were looking at two different vehicles and that adjusted CAP was for the cheaper one. The numbers earlier were for a vehicle that ended up sold over the weekend. Here are the new numbers for which I was able to get some additional clarity:

MSRP: $56970
MSRP less incentives: $50470
Gross CAP Cost is $51794 ($50470 + $925 acquisition fee + $399 tint)
CAP Reduction is $542.27 ($2500 trade equity, less 1st payment $582.62, AZ registration of $865.11, doc fee of $510)
Adjusted CAP is $51251.73
Sales Tax rate of 8.6%

Base payment of $536.48 + $46.14/month taxes = $582.62

That doesn't make any sense, along with your other numbers. Seems way too low.

I'd expect changes, since the residuals haven't changed since July.

3 and 5 series residuals have been the same and high for a bit, for sure, but in the northeast, there are literally still hundreds of 2016MY cars on the lots. can't imagine they'll lower the lease marketability of these things, right?

The negative equity adds about $100/mo.
The deal looks pretty good, otherwise. That's the base MF, so that helps.

Looks like the MF was marked up before applying the fleet discount and MSD. .00136 is the base MF; MSD brings that down to .00087. I think fleet discount takes another .00010 or .00020 off of that.

Yes, fleet takes off .00020 off of .00087. So .00085 is correct MF? I don't see how it was marked up. What about the price? You think I can get another $1500 off the selling price before applying corporate fleet?

We don't track selling prices; read back through the last page or two of posts to see what kind of discounts others are getting.

Leaving the $3500 out of the equation, I get $554/mo with tax.

I'm guessing some of that $3500 is cap reduction - we advise against this, as the money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

You might check to see if you can get a bigger discount from sticker.

I failed to mention that I have a car that I need to trade-in with approximate value of $3500. I understand the advantages of avoiding upfront costs, but at least for this lease, I need to trade this in.

Are you able to factor in the $3500 and let me know what a good monthly payment would come out to be? It doesn't have to be the absolute best deal possible, I just want to make sure that I am not getting robbed blind. I am very new to this, as you can probably tell.

Regarding trade equity, we suggest you use it to cover your up front costs, and have the dealer cut you a check for the balance.
