Does Mercedes Benz do Multiple Security Deposits (MSD) in California to decrease the Money Factor?

We think so. Have heard that MSD not available on a discounted MF, but other posters have said it can be done.

I would ask your local dealer. May have to escalate to the finance manager.

Im new to leasing and will hopefully lease my first vehicle in the coming weeks, if not days and the process is starting to scare me a little so please bear with me if i do sound extremely novice. I am located in TX if it makes a difference.

    I'm currently looking at a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300 2.0L I4 Turbocharged, 7G-TRONIC PLUS 7-Speed Automatic priced at 46K.

    I'm wanting either a 30/12 or 36/12 lease term.

The dealerships first numbers were 702 a month. They did not give me the MF or Residual that they used to get those figures. (they did not run my credit as i told them i was just researching different vehicles) Having said that, what would the numbers be for the current vehicle?

Thank you in advance for your time and patience.

    Guys, Need your help.

I found a deal that could possibly work out. It's a loaner with over 3,000 miles on it. I haven't seen the car physically as it is in a different town in MI. These are the details:

    2016 C300W4
    040 Black
    101 Black MB-Tex
    R48 17-Inch Split 5-Spoke Alloy Wheel
    095 PTC Auxiliary Heater
    104 Rear Deck Spoiler $350
    218 Rearview Camera $460
    293 Rear Side Airbags
    355 SD-Card Navigation Pre-wiring
    413 Panorama Sunroof $1,480
    485 Comfort suspension
739 Gloss Black & Aluminum Trim
    873 Heated Front Seats $580

    SUBTOTAL $43,820
    DESTINATION & DELIVERY $925
    TOTAL $44,745

    Lease Term: 24 Months / 12000 Miles a year
    Moneyfactor: .00184
    Residual: 67% / $30,844 (This actually is 68.9% on $44,745 - is it adjusted for the miles/loaner?)

    Sale Price : $36000

    Monthly Payment: $372.27, Tax $22.34, Total: $394.61

Drive off: $1508.35 (includes 1st moth, doc fee/plate transfer, acquisition fee - did not get a breakup, but checked on phone).

Looks like a good deal to me. Numbers don't tally when I calculate, but are not off by a big margin.

This was after the initial inquiry. No real bargaining except asking for breakup on everything. Am I missing something? Is it OK to lease a loaner and what should I do to make sure the vehicle is good?

I will potentially go to the dealership tonight or tomorrow and go through the paperwork if everything works out.

    Thanks,
    Vishnu

    If this is a RWD C300, the 36/12 numbers are 61% and .00134. Add 1% for 10K

In Texas, sales tax is applied against the entire selling price, which makes your lease payments more expensive relative to other states.

If they haven't pulled your credit, they could be marking up the MF to be safe.

The big driver to a good lease payment is a low negotiated price. I don't see that number in your original post; do you have it?

MF is marked up; base is .00154.

Yes, the residual is adjusted manually to account for the miles - take the calculated residual, then subtract a per mile charge (around .10-.20 per mile) for the demo miles ($300-600, but I'd ask the dealer for the exact amount).

But, you also want the selling price to reflect the miles as well. Can you get a car with 0 miles on it for the same type of discount? If so, why get the loaner?

Folks lease demos all the time; just want to make sure it's actually a better deal than on a new car.

The negotiated terms were 45K out the door, so everything included minus the service fees

So, with an MSRP of $46K, an adjusted cap cost of $45K, a .00134 MF and 61% residual for 36/12, I get a payment of $552/mo.

A long way from the $700+ quote you got.

Could be a marked up MF, could be the cap cost is much different that what you think it is.

Time to circle back to the dealer and find out which it is.

    Honolulu, Hawaii
    MSRP 45955

    36 month/7500 miles
    Residual 28,955

Assuming this is a C300 RWD, the numbers are .00134 and 63%.

Using your numbers, I get a payment of $473/mo, including tax.

Find out what the adjusted cap cost is, and how the dealer got to that number from the selling price.

The situation I am in is not ideal.
I'm currently leasing an Audi 2014 A4, no navigation. I have 11 payments left for a 10K/42mo lease at $508/mo. I am now at 30K and plan to drive 20K for work in the next year.
Question is 1. Pay the extra mileage at $0.25/mi at end of lease?
    2. Get out of lease now with a pay off quote of $26,280.00 or 6mo later?
I'm not sure what the best option is.

I have been entertaining the option # two to get me out of the lease.
I'm interested in a 2016 c300 AWDsport package (roof, premium package, multimedia etc) and have done some research and talked to 2 dealers.
I understand there will be close to $5000-6000 deficit with the audi where it will some how be added to the new lease. correct?
For 36mo/15K. One dealer has quoted me $45,415 for the MSRP of $53,200 with a MF of 0.00152, Res %60 res$32,496 capital cost 52,437. (just retyping some figures not knowing what it is) I have Tier 1 credit so that should be helpful.
New 2017 are coming out in september, wait or not wait. Or use that as an advantage to lower the selling price.
At 15K I will definitely be over with my driving at 19-20K/year but they promise to be able to get me out at 30mo with probably 5K over mileage. Believe or not believe/rely or not rely in this?
    Is this a good deal?

Why eat $5K-$6K of negative equity, then start racking up overmileage charges on the new lease, when you can just ride yours out and pay about $2000 in mileage charges?

Then, you go buy whatever you want.

Do not believe/rely on them saying you'll get out of your mileage charges on a new lease. Sure, as long as you trade out for another $5K-$6K in negative equity.

If you want to keep leasing, you need a mileage allowance that matches your driving. Otherwise, you are just putting off the inevitable.

    Adding in the $795 acq.fee, I get $414/mo.+tax.. that's pretty close.

Looks like a good deal for a $47K MSRP car.

36/10 on the C300 RWD is .00134 and 62%. Using the "total purchase" as the cap cost, I get $491/mo with tax, assuming all the fees and such are paid up front.

Every $1000 as cap reduction reduces your payment about $30/mo

Can I get MF and residual (if base MF, please note that as well) for C300 4MATIC in Ohio for
    24 month / 12k miles
    24 month / 15k miles
    30/33 month / 12k miles
    30/33 month / 15k miles
    36/39 month / 12k miles
    36/39 month / 15k miles
Also, how does AutoPay work and how much discount am I able to get? Also, if I do a pre-paid lease, what type of a discount can I expect?

    Thanks in advance!

    .00152 MF for all terms

    15K residuals:

    24 - 65%
    30 - 62%
    36 - 60%

Add 2% for 12K. AutoPay discounts the MF .00010.

Can anyone suggest a good dealer in TX? I am looking for 36 month lease with 10 K miles. RWD with standard model. What amount per month is a good deal in TX? thanks.

We don't track pricing info. Use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to link to price tools.

Or, read back through the last page or two of this discussion to see what others are able to negotiate.

Using the lease calculator, I don't know which number I should use for selling price.

Can someone help calculate the lease payments for $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 down?

MB C300, 3 year with 10k mi per year, 62% residual, MF: best available as told by the dealer

    MSRP 48,385
    discount -6,394
    Negotiated price 41,991

    Other options 689
    total purchase 42,680
    doc fee 589
    tax 28
    license fee 98

    Thanks, Michaell.

I was able to perform the same calculation based on your input.

The dealer promised the best money factor (whatever it is). I know it should be .00134 now.

The dealer gave me $568 with $1k down, $537 with $2k down and $506 with $3k down.

The only way I can duplicate dealer's number is if I use MF of .0027. Are they usually this blatant when it comes to giving numbers?

The dealer assumes (correctly) that most folks don't know how to calculate a lease, so marking up the MF is pretty easy to get away with.

Politely but firmly tell them you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF.

    And, start shopping other dealers.

MF is marked up; base .00152.

Residual will be adjusted for the miles, but you want to make up for that by getting a bigger discount than you would on a new unit with 0 miles.

Base MF is .00134, so your dealer has marked that up.

The adjusted cap cost looks low, as the entire selling price is subject to sales tax in TX. Plus bank fee, dealer fee and such.

But, relative to MSRP, your quoted payment looks OK.

Trying to work out a deal on a 2016 C450. interested in 36 mo/10k/yr. Located in NJ. MSRP 62,940, selling price 56,495, MF .00129, res. 59%. The dealer wants $2932 in "inception fees" which includes $300 in cap cost reduction. The monthly lease is $698. The sale price, mf, and res sound ok but the up front fees seem high. Is this a good deal?

Ask the dealer for the full breakdown .. my guess it includes the sales tax (NJ collects it up front), bank fee (base is $795, dealer can mark up to $1095), dealer fee, and DMV costs.

Although I have struck out for numbers on the Mercedes C43 which is already being manufactured in Stuttgart ( I should be taking delivery about the second week in September)..are numbers ever unpdated or added during the month? Moreover, if the delivery date comes, what will Mercedes do if I lease? What parameters will Mercedes use?

Sometimes there are mid-month updates, but we rarely see them. If the cars don't arrive until September, then it's not likely there will be rates available before then. Mercedes won't lock a rate program, so no need to have the numbers in advance, from their perspective.

Can I please have to Aug numbers for a

    36k/12 C300
    36/12 C450

I had a dealer give yesterday give me a residual of 60% and a MF of .00152 on the c300.
He also told me they could give a max MSRP discount of $5,000 on any of there 2016 models.

The MF seems a little high so it making me think I can squeeze a little more out of him on the discount.

    Thank for the help
