There may be special documentation on the C43 that we don't have access to ... I can't imagine a dealer taking a special order on a C43 then not being able to consummate the deal due to a lack of numbers.
Perhaps a call to MB North America or MB Financial Services and explain to them your situation?

I think I could have negotiated more but thats the best I got after talking to many dealers.
1) First negotiate the sell price to the lowest point 2) Just pay taxes and 1st payment at front, or roll everything into the lease. 3) Make sure the dealer sets up the correct MF. There were some dealers not willing to go to the MB Financial set money factor, in the end its all math, so they can lower the selling price but increase the MF so make sure both variables are low. 4) Make sure they calculate the residual correctly. 5) Set up auto pay and check that it lowered the MF by 0.00001 I had another dealer that was not willing to lower it for auto pay 6) Try to negotiate maintenance 7) Get the Mercedes Benz Platinum credit card that gives you $1k off any car. Use this as your magic card at the end of the negotiation. 8) After everything depending on the vehicle add the tires insurance. Most cars are run flats and just with a little puncture you will need to replace all the tire costing at least $400. Not counting any damages to the wheel itself. 9) Smile, you have a brand new Mercedes!

It's crazy that you got 17% off MSRP. Unfortunately no such dealer exist here in WA state. (most they would do is around 12%. what was your cap reduction? did you down anything? And the credit card is from Amex? They offer 10,000 rewards points after $1k spend, I don't see where they would take 1k off a car...

pretty much $0 cap reduction. I paid around $2k in taxes and 1st payment.
Regarding the credit card, you get 10,000 membership reward points and after meeting the spending of $5k a year you get a certificate towards $1k of lease or purchase of a MB.

I went ahead and put 10 MSDs down to bring the money factor down to 0.00057. I also paid the $1095 acquisition fee upfront (I should have rolled this in but it slipped my mind).
All said and done I'm paying $378 a month after tax.
By the way, the car is fantastic! Highly recommended. Big thanks to the Mods for all the guidance and inside information.

Hello, new to posting but have been reading through this forum quite a while. Interested in a 2016 C-Class C300 4MATIC and saw that the September #s for 36/10 & 36/12 are .00101 & 61%/60%. Does that apply the same to whether it is a C300 Sport or Luxury? Also, does it make a difference if I am in New Mexico or are the numbers all the same? Thanks!

I see that you have answered this question a million times, but I'm getting confused. I'm negotiating a lease for a 2016 C300 4Matic. It is 36 months/12,000 miles. According to your posts, this should be a 60% residual and .00101 MF.
Dealer tells me that residual is 62% and MF is .001667. I assume that the MF is inflated (which I will balk at), but why would the dealer be telling me that the residual is 62%? What am I missing here? Can you confirm these numbers for me?

I confirm .00101 and 60% for 36/12 on C300 4Matic from MBFS.
Confirm with the dealer that this is the bank they are quoting from. They are not allowed to modify the residual.
2016 C300 4Matic MSRP: $45,790 Negotiated Price: $38,446 MF: .00101 Lease Pmt: $394.57/month (includes 6.25% tax) Down Pmt: $1,360.07 (includes $795 acq, $349 doc., $175 reg/title, $71.50 tax, and $394.57 first mo., less $425 negotiated discount)
Seems like a great deal. But, when I went to speak to business manager, I was told I was getting such a good deal that I couldn't get any additional money factor reductions for auto-pay. I was also told that if I wanted to pay MSDs, it was a minimum of 10 MSDs. I wanted less. This strikes me as odd because these reductions are a deal between me and MBFS, not the dealership. Right? What do they care? So my questions are:
(1) Is MBFS still offering money factor reductions for auto-pay and for MSD's? (2) If so, what are these reductions? (3) Do I need to purchase a minimum amount of MSDs? (4) Can a dealership prevent me from getting these benefits?

4) When you do MSDs, it actually does cut into the dealer's profit margin. The finance reserve they are paid by the bank is less. The dealer and MBFS are related. Until the deal is done, you have no business relationship with MBFS and can't go around the dealer. If they don't want to do it, then you are stuck (with a pretty good deal, though).
Can I confirm the MF and RV for C300 RWD sedan for 36/10K? An earlier post on Sep 6 stated RV was 62% for September, but according to https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/special_offers/current#class=C residual value $24,675 and MSRP $41,125 = 60% RV. Also, another dealer in my area quoted me 60% for RV as well.

Hello Michaell, I posted it in a general forum, but it seems like there is a category here for these types of questions.
Can you please let me know if it is a decent deal we are getting? Also, for some reason using an online calculator I cannot come to the final monthly payments we were shown. Thank you 2016 C300 $44,375 MSRP w 6,000 miles (was their loaner car) but they are leasing it as new ( w 1.99% APR) since it never had a registered owner Selling Price $35000 Acquisition fee is $1050, Doc Fee $510, title/registration is around $600, Arizona tax 24 months lease with $1600 payment (doc fee, title/registration and 1st months lease) = around $450 monthly payment 36 months lease with $1600 payment is around $410 We were given MF .00142, Residual 0.65

.00082 MF and 65% residual for 24/12, 59% residual for 36/12. The base acquisition fee is $795 $510 doc fee seems awfully high.
I don't know how much Mercedes reduces the residual for mileage, but I'll guess about $0.15/mi. So, about a $900 residual reduction. That gives me $428/mo.+tax on the 24 month lease and $386/mo.+tax on the 36 month term. Pretty close to your numbers.
You could complain about the marked up MF and acquisition fee, and the high doc fee, but you are also getting $9375 off the MSRP. Do those balance out? It's hard to know. What price will they give you on a brand new 2016 model?
That said, $1600 upfront and $410/mo. is a pretty good price for a 36/12 lease on a $44K MSRP vehicle.
Thank you very much, kyfdx! Our friend from a different state was saying that we were getting a bad deal so I panicked and went here for some support. We ended up leasing this car. It was not a great-great deal as they tried to claim, but I think it was OK enough not to waste our time looking for something else. I did not ask them what price they would give for a brand new car because I had a pretty specific requirement - the car had to have a HUD, and they did not have any other C300s in stock in this price range with HUD. I made a weak attempt to negotiate on MF, doc or an acquisition fee, but they did not budge since they already gave $1500 discount from their Internet pricing, (plus it was after they ran our credit so they knew we wanted to get this car). Oh well, sales people also have to make some money Also, almost all of our AZ luxury dealerships charge the max the state allows them to charge for a doc fee, around $500. I am happy it is over, I do not enjoy the process of shopping for a new car. Thank you again for your help!
Hi all, and kyfdx. Need some advice on a 2016 C300...thank you in advance.
I am looking to lease a C300 for 3 yrs/36K miles, and have a couple of offers from a dealer I am working with. Could you please look at these deals and let me know if they are good/make sense:
Car 1: 2016 C300 4Matic, Black exterior, black MB Tex interior. P01 Prem Pkg, read deck spoiler, rearview cam, blind spot assist, SD Card Nav, Panorama Sunroof, Black ash wood, heated front seats. MSRP $46,320 (incl SD Nav $600, $975 for 3 year 30k miles maintenance) Negotiated selling price: $39,699 MF .00101 Residual 60% To this, he is adding $600 for SD Nav, and $975 for 3 year maintenance. Offer to me: $1500 down $460 per month.
My question: Can I do better on the selling price ($39699) - looks like I am getting $6,621 off, which is about 13% off MSRP. I have Fleet discount, which on 2016 C is $2300. I am seeing people getting 12% off here on the forums right off the bat, so shouldn't I be getting more than 13% with my fleet discount factored in? This is where my concern is.
Car 2: (I like this one better as it has some options that are nice to have) 2016 C300 4Matic P02 Prem Pkg, Illuminated Star, Rear deck spoiler, rear view camera, blind spot assist, Multimedia pkg, panorama sunroof, heated steering wheel, back ash wood, heated front seats. MSRP: $50,870 Negotiated selling price: $43,691 MF: .00101 Res: 60% To this he's adding $975 for 3 year maintenance. Offer to me: $1500 down $492 per month
Question on both offers: Is the selling price good, or can I do better with my fleet discount factored in? Second, is the monthly payment good? I am doing autopay, shouldn't that reduce MF
Thanks so much - need to do a deal today so appreciate your responses. Not many 2016 cars in black left.

.00101 is the base rate for the C300 4Matic for September - AutoPay should reduce that to .00091, unless the dealer is marking up the MF first.
For car 1, using your prices, I get $399/mo before tax. For car 2, $441/mo before tax. Both use the .00101 MF. Using the discounted MF with AutoPay, car 1 drops to $392/mo, and car 2 to $433/mo - before tax.
Confirm the adjusted cap cost being used for both quotes - it's possible there are some fees being added in to the selling price that aren't covered by the $1500 up front money.
We don't track selling prices, but not sure if your fleet discount is being used in the price quotes. Work with multiple dealers, and see who gets you the best price, all-in.
Thank you Michaell. There is a $795 acquisition fee, and around $600 for 'doc fee' and registration. My larger issue is the discount - looks like I am not getting the same percentage off MSRP that others on here are.

How many dealers have you worked with? Competition will get you the best price.
And, discount amounts could be regional, or based on inventory on hand. If the dealer is down to their last few 2016's, they may not be as willing to negotiate.
Worked with one dealer only - I like their service (get my car serviced there), so wanted to give them the first bite at the cherry. I've reached out to a couple of dealers now since I feel I could do better. The other thing is that this car is not on the dealer lot (Car 2), but Car 1 is, and the dealer tells me it does not make any difference if the car is on their lot, or they have to bring it from somewhere, which I feel quite strange.
Hi Michaell, here are the finals numbers - they are not budging on price. However, there is a discrepancy in the monthly payment between what I calculate, and what they are offering:
My calculation (with tax - I am in NJ, and tax is 7%) is $469.25 per month Their calculation based on these numbers (and offer to me): $491 per month
There is a big discrepancy, and they have no answer other than 'our calculator is correct'. Can you take a look and let me know if I am calculating wrong, or if they are?

Assuming the selling price is the cap cost, I get $474/mo with tax, so a lot closer to your number than theirs.
Get them to confirm the "adjusted" cap cost - and, make sure you understand how they bridge to that number from the selling price.

Hmmm...... with no MF and residual set for the C43....any experience in what the MB dealer will do? Does it now become somewhat negotiable? I doubt the dealer wants the car sitting on the lot until the October numbers role in.
Appreciate your guidance.

I think I could have negotiated more but thats the best I got after talking to many dealers.
1) First negotiate the sell price to the lowest point
2) Just pay taxes and 1st payment at front, or roll everything into the lease.
3) Make sure the dealer sets up the correct MF. There were some dealers not willing to go to the MB Financial set money factor, in the end its all math, so they can lower the selling price but increase the MF so make sure both variables are low.
4) Make sure they calculate the residual correctly.
5) Set up auto pay and check that it lowered the MF by 0.00001 I had another dealer that was not willing to lower it for auto pay
6) Try to negotiate maintenance
7) Get the Mercedes Benz Platinum credit card that gives you $1k off any car. Use this as your magic card at the end of the negotiation.
8) After everything depending on the vehicle add the tires insurance. Most cars are run flats and just with a little puncture you will need to replace all the tire costing at least $400. Not counting any damages to the wheel itself.
9) Smile, you have a brand new Mercedes!
what was your cap reduction? did you down anything?
And the credit card is from Amex? They offer 10,000 rewards points after $1k spend, I don't see where they would take 1k off a car...

2016 C300 4MATIC
36 months / 12K and 15K
I was previously quoted 58% and .00091 (auto pay) for 15K. Does that sound right?
Thank you!

Dealer tells me that residual is 62% and MF is .001667. I assume that the MF is inflated (which I will balk at), but why would the dealer be telling me that the residual is 62%? What am I missing here? Can you confirm these numbers for me?
Confirm with the dealer that this is the bank they are quoting from. They are not allowed to modify the residual.

2016 C300 4Matic
MSRP: $45,790
Negotiated Price: $38,446
MF: .00101
Lease Pmt: $394.57/month (includes 6.25% tax)
Down Pmt: $1,360.07 (includes $795 acq, $349 doc., $175 reg/title, $71.50 tax, and $394.57 first mo., less $425 negotiated discount)
Thanks for your insight.

https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/special_offers/current#class=C residual value $24,675 and MSRP $41,125 = 60% RV.
Also, another dealer in my area quoted me 60% for RV as well.

I posted it in a general forum, but it seems like there is a category here for these types of questions.
Can you please let me know if it is a decent deal we are getting? Also, for some reason using an online calculator I cannot come to the final monthly payments we were shown. Thank you
2016 C300 $44,375 MSRP w 6,000 miles (was their loaner car) but they are leasing it as new ( w 1.99% APR) since it never had a registered owner
Selling Price $35000
Acquisition fee is $1050, Doc Fee $510, title/registration is around $600, Arizona tax
24 months lease with $1600 payment (doc fee, title/registration and 1st months lease) = around $450 monthly payment
36 months lease with $1600 payment is around $410
We were given MF .00142, Residual 0.65
The base acquisition fee is $795
$510 doc fee seems awfully high.

I am looking to lease a C300 for 3 yrs/36K miles, and have a couple of offers from a dealer I am working with. Could you please look at these deals and let me know if they are good/make sense:
Car 1:
2016 C300 4Matic, Black exterior, black MB Tex interior.
P01 Prem Pkg, read deck spoiler, rearview cam, blind spot assist, SD Card Nav, Panorama Sunroof, Black ash wood, heated front seats.
MSRP $46,320 (incl SD Nav $600, $975 for 3 year 30k miles maintenance)
Negotiated selling price: $39,699
MF .00101
Residual 60%
To this, he is adding $600 for SD Nav, and $975 for 3 year maintenance.
Offer to me:
$1500 down
$460 per month.
Car 2: (I like this one better as it has some options that are nice to have)
2016 C300 4Matic
P02 Prem Pkg, Illuminated Star, Rear deck spoiler, rear view camera, blind spot assist, Multimedia pkg, panorama sunroof, heated steering wheel, back ash wood, heated front seats.
MSRP: $50,870
Negotiated selling price: $43,691
MF: .00101
Res: 60%
To this he's adding $975 for 3 year maintenance.
Offer to me:
$1500 down
$492 per month
Question on both offers: Is the selling price good, or can I do better with my fleet discount factored in? Second, is the monthly payment good? I am doing autopay, shouldn't that reduce MF
Thanks so much - need to do a deal today so appreciate your responses. Not many 2016 cars in black left.

And, discount amounts could be regional, or based on inventory on hand. If the dealer is down to their last few 2016's, they may not be as willing to negotiate.

MSRP: $51,845
Selling price: $44,566
Additional Fees: $795 Acquisition Fee, $249 Dealer Fee, $330 MV Fees
MF: .00091 (with Auto Pay)
Residual: 60%
Down Payment: $1500
My calculation (with tax - I am in NJ, and tax is 7%) is $469.25 per month
Their calculation based on these numbers (and offer to me): $491 per month
There is a big discrepancy, and they have no answer other than 'our calculator is correct'. Can you take a look and let me know if I am calculating wrong, or if they are?
Thanks
Get them to confirm the "adjusted" cap cost - and, make sure you understand how they bridge to that number from the selling price.
