Me again. I really want to make a deal on the X3...dealership came back w/ new quote and sent me all the deatils. 36mo/10K. Am in NY.

    MSRP: 47995
Selling Price: 46355 NOTE: per the dealer email their cost on the car is 45355 - should I care about that?
    1K rebate
$0 down including all taxes and registration
    MF .00151
    RV 61%
    Gross Cap: 50383
    Adj Cap: 49383
    $639.46

I feel like I am seeing others who have asked questions about similar MSRP's and have monthly payments in the $500 (with 0 down). Can you negotiate a better selling price even if its LESS than what the dealers cost on the car is? Thanks for the help - looking to sign and drive ASAP!

    The residual is 64% for 36/10, not 61% (that's for 36/15)
With that adjusted CAP, the payment is correct.
Are you paying the first payment at signing?
Your Gross CAP is approx $4000 over the sale price. You need a breakdown of those numbers. $925 acquisition fee. $75 doc fee in NY. Tax should be $2000 or less. That leaves about $1000 unaccounted for.

You don't really care about what they say their cost is. You just want the lowest price possible. That said, 3.4% discount from MSRP is not enough. I'd shoot for another $1000-$1500 off. Couple that with what looks like maybe an extra $500-$800 in the Gross CAP, and you might be able to knock $2000 of that deal. That would save $60/mo. Even if you can't do that well, you should be able to do better than that offer.

You are missing another page that itemizes the "Add'l Cap Items"

You can see at the bottom of the right hand column, where they add 3% to account for 10K/yr, making the full residual percentage 64%.

I know it's early, but have the rates for August been released yet? Any new or different incentives?

I'm looking for 36/12k, NY (Buffalo area)

Also, I have the ability to get the Corporate group sales discount, but I believe I read that this changed recently (no longer able to get the MF reduction), but can be combined with any other incentives.

Trying to decide between leasing a 17, or buying a just off lease 14...so just looking for any help on numbers that I can, ty!

I'm in MA. Looking to get a 2017 X3 xdrive35i in the next couple days. I'm just waiting for them to find the color combo i'm looking for. What is the residual value and MF? Any pointers on getting the best deal? I heard BMW is not doing multiple security deposits anymore. There is a new model coming out in November so i'm assuming I can negotiate a good price on the car. Leasing is new to me so thanks for the help.

I am getting a breakdown as follows:

includes MA Sales tax of 6.25%
    the residual is 63%
the Money Factor is .00191.  (Seems high compared to what I am reading on this site)
The MSRP is 59,645 and the sale price is 56,645.  Invoice on the X3 is 6%, which is 56,066.

i leased a 540 xdrive on the 31st. i was talking to my dealer today about when my car will be manufactured, possibly doing a European delivery, and all the other stuff, and he told me that the MF went up again. he said i pretty much got the last ticket before disney land burned down. didn't give me an exact number though. Audi's MF was .00188 last i checked, and Audi sucks. so i wouldn't be surprised if BMW went up to .0018 or so.

I have driven them both.  The cargo space on the nx is a little concerning, but I really like the f sport look.

The msrp on the x3 is 52,345 and doesn't include tech while the msrp on the nx is 48,034 and includes nav.

The 2 Ive looked at...the x3 is black with the brown nevada and the burl walnut.  While the nx is ultra white with the black interior.

Wife and kids both picked the Lexus from pics lol,  but if guess that since it's sportier looking.

Waiting on my last round of numbers on the x3(been told I'll be quoted right at invoice) but the NX is pretty good with really no negotiations.  I could probably move it down a little more (final cap price was 45k when I had then work something up...using .00080 and 58%).

Sorry if the post seems scattered on phone, lol

Fuel efficiency looks about equal, or am I missing something.

To throw another wrinkle into it, was told the dealership has a X3 35i that served as a loaner, but could be leased and would run less than the x3 28i...supposed to be comparably equipped. Waiting for more info on this.

Numbers I got on the 28i:

    MSRP - 51345
    Sale Price - 47920
    Residual - 63%
    MF .00151
Gross Cap Cost - 51,872.34 (295 - Gov and Doc fee, 925 Acq fee, all taxes, and first payment)
Net Cap Cost - 50,772.34 (given me a $1k rebate, and $100 from my trade after payoff)

Does this seem in line (payment would be $638 with $0 out the door, I'd probably do 1st payment and the 295 fees)

Seems the fleet discount is less, now is $500 incentive without any reduction in MF, is that correct? Looks like difficult to get monthly payment as 1% of MSRP now.

I get approximately the same payment with those numbers.

Make sure you get a bigger discount from sticker on the loaner, as the residual will be adjusted down .25 for every mile on it.

We don't have the fleet discount details, but others have mentioned similar changes.

BMW has certainly made it more expensive to lease their vehicles these last few months.

looking for a little help here on a 2017 X3 I am looking to lease. It sounds like I should be expecting 7% below MSRP. I am talking with a dealer right now that is offering the following.

    MSRP: 54,070
    Sale Price: 51,440
Adjusted Cap Cost: 52,560 (925 acquisition fee + 195 doc fee)
    Residual: 34,604.89 (64%)
    MF: .00151
    SDs: 7
    MF w/ SDs: .00102
    Tax: 5.5% (WI)

    This is for 36/10

This is 4.8% off MSRP. I already had to talk them down from the initial .00191 MF. Should I expect to get a lower sale price?

7% would be a sale price of 50,280.10. That would equate to around $35/mo difference.

They dont seem willing to budge. I ran the car through the build and price and it quotes invoice at 51,025 (but the MSRP is 300 high for some reason and I cant get the exact package) and it quote the true market value at 51,860.

Addtionally, when I run the above number through the leasehackr calculator online, I get 614/mo, but they are quoting 620. Am I missing something?

    Thanks for the advice.

BMW suspended their MSD program a few months back; has it been reinstated?

BMW dealers are starting to wise up - you can get either:

    a) a big discount from sticker and a marked up MF; or
    b) a smaller discount from sticker and the base MF

Harder and harder to get both on the same deal.

Can't help you with on-line calculators - they often make assumptions we know nothing about.

With your prices, as is, I get $630/mo using the base .00151 MF, tax included

they are offering to let me reduce the MF with MSDs. I dont know if it is reinstated or if they are allowing me since I am a returning BMW lessee.

So should I not expect to get the sales price any lower? Appreciate the help on this. Just dont know what I should expect.

If you don't ask for a lower selling price, you won't get it.

Very curious about the MSD issue - I wasn't aware of any exceptions to this.

they are offering to let me reduce the MF with MSDs.

I did ask after I was given this quote . I asked for 50k or as close to it they would go. They are holding firm and saying I should accept this offer. I am trying to determine if I should hold out for a reduction, or pivot to a different option. There is another one with a lower MSRP since it has less options that might work with another dealer (I might just ask them to see if they could get ahold of it), but I would happily take this car if I could get the price reduced further (somewhere in the vicinity of 7% off).

Me again! Getting close to a deal. Can you take one more look, please?

    MF: .000156
    36/10
    NYS
    1K rebate, 750 for loyalty

$565 with only first month due at signing. I still feel like it's high. Getting closer to a 7% SP target off MSRP.

I am just a few cents off of that quote (rounding, I'm sure).

But, why is the MF marked up such a small amount? Base is .00151 this month. Save you $4/mo with it.

I asked the same question - they said it was because "this month it is slightly higher and that's why it changed." I have a 335xi right now (financed, dealer would basically payoff amount we have left) - wonder if I should just wait until the 2018's are released and lease then? does BMW traditionally offer higher incentives on new generation models?

No predictions on what the numbers will look like on the 2018 X3. Generally, no incentives on new models.

this is the time to get your deals on 2017 x3 folks! have gotten two in the past 2 months

    June 17
    2017 x3 28i xdrive (custom build- 2 weeks wait)
    52k MSRP
    46k cap cost
0 down, 535/mth payment with NY tax rolled in

    August 17
    2017 x3 35i xdrive demo loaner (7000 miles)
    57.8k msrp
    46.2k cap cost
0 down, 468/mth payment with NY tax rolled in

The 35i was for my own and there seem to be plenty of dealers with loaners being retired at the moment so not hard to find one with color/options you're looking for, at least around here in the tristate area.

Kindly suggest...I understand that down payment is not recommended but dealer says you cant get the $2500 rebate if I go with o down. Here is the break up and let me know if lease/month figure is ok? This is for Texas state. They have mentioned MF of 0.00190 and RF of 61%

    .00151 MF
    61% is the 36/15 residual. 63% for 36/12

.00191 MF would be marked up the maximum.

    Shouldn't your "Balance" be $49,278?

    Using .00191 MF and 61% residual, I get $647/mo.
Base .00151 MF and correct 63% residual, I get $588/mo.

Im looking at getting a loaded 2017 BMW x3 drive 28i AWD (probably leasing), 2018 Subaru forester 2.0XT touring AWD, or 2017 Toyota RAV4 platinum AWD. What are the residuals on these 3 cars, and how do their costs of ownerships compare over a 3 year span? Would probably be buying in PA.
    Thanks

I don't know much about leasing so I am not sure about the terms, 10,000 for 3 years (I probably drive less than that though)
