Has BMW changed how they calculate the residual value on their leases? I am working on a lease for a 2017 X3 and they are using MSRP less the destination fee times the residual value which lowers the RV and increases the capitalized cost. All of my previous leases have been calculated using total MSRP including destination times the RV. Thanks for your help.

Well.. that's your problem. You left the destination out of the MSRP.

It's the full MSRP. The bottom line on the government window sticker.

So, what's the full amount due at signing? Amorphous terms like "just the drive off" is something the dealer says, when they are getting ready to screw you.

No... the residual calculation is on the full MSRP, including the destination fee.

Maybe, you are mixing up the destination fee with the acquisition fee?

We suggest you limit the out of pocket to the first payment, the MSD monies, and the doc and DMV fees. Roll everything else into the lease payment.

.00134 MF is the base rate. Dealer is marking it up to .00174 (which is the maximum allowed), for extra profit.
