I'm being told by my local dealer that they have stopped production of the 2017's (no more orders) and the website is not yet updated to build the 2018 models (seems like a lot of packages have been changed around for 2018).

Do you happen to have the 2018 residuals / MF yet ?

    Thanks!

Can I get a MF & RV for the 2018 330e in Vegas. Also BMW is running a $5500 lease credit so I have that knocked off the price after the dealer discounts the MSRP, correct? I should ask for 8%-10% off of MSRP correct.

The 330e comes with lease credits you should hammer out a deal without the credits then apply credits since the money isn't coming out of the dealer's pockets, many dealers will give you the 5K off MSRP and that is it. In some markets, the 330e is a hot seller and not in some. But you should try for 10% off MSRP BEFORE credits.

The end of 2017 production is this week, your dealer might not have an allocation to sell you, check other dealers. I doubt BMWNA has set Residual or MF for cars that haven't started production but use 59% and .0151 as a baseline.

    Hello,

I was curious about incentives. So BMWUSA has a $2,500 rebate for lease. I'm a USAA member and they have a 2,000 incentive + an additional $500 if you lease with BMW. Those are stackable so should equal $5,000 reduction in price AFTER negotiating the selling price? And those incentives come from corporate, not the dealership correct?

Is 7%-10% below MSRP a good target?

Yes, 7-10% is a good start, USAA offers a reduction from the MF, but do not think the 2K incentive is stackable.

Right nw I am getting a money factor of .0026 which is about 6% intersect and only $2500 off before the $5500 credit. I should be able to do much bette then this correct? It appears the money factor is inflated. How do you address that with the dealer won’t they ask how you know what the money factor is supposed to be?

    .00151 MF and 55% residual for 36/15.

Ask the dealer if their price includes the lease credit. That way, no guessing required

If you have top tier credit, the dealer can only markup the rate by .00040. So, your calculations must be off.

    $4500 discount 8.4% off
    Selling $50,750
    Acqui $925
    Lic Fee $443
    Gross Cap $50898
    12k/36 month lease

    Downpayment $5500 (BMW Lease Credit)

    Amp Applied Upfront $2432
    Total Cap Cost $3067
    Net Cap $47830

    MF : .00161
    RV 61%

    $572/ month with the tax.

Its in CA but I am thinking if I can get them to 10% off and Market MF of .00151 it's a good deal? I'd have to fly from Las Vegas, not a big deal though.

Your money factor is not the base of .00151, get it to the base rate, the dealership is allowed to charge you more and that more profit for the dealership.

Rebates have to be used as CAP cost reductions, to make sure they get taxed.

so i'm in the market for a 320 or 330 but want performance package and driver assist. my current dealership only has service/loaners with <4500 miles with these options. In fact, they are fully loaded.

Any experiences in leasing one of these vehicles? I would expect to take the depreciated mileage off the car in addition to the current offers. Just wanting to hear any success or horror stories.

The residual value of demo cars is reduced .25 per mile, so long as the car has less than 5000 miles.

But, you'll want to compensate that by negotiating a lower selling price, as well.

Lots of folks have successfully leased service loaner and demo cars.

I have a 2017 330i service loaner, love it. If the car has less than 5000 miles it will still qualify as a new BMW through BMWFS, plus you get a smoking deal on them. Also if the lease is 12K/r it will be added to the current mileage on the car.

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to lease a 2017 330i loaner. I've created a lease calculator, which I've used for past leases, but I don't know what to do on this one with the existing miles. Would someone mind letting me know if this is a good deal? I think they're still making $$, but not sure. Thanks in advance!

    Current mileage: 4,593
    MSRP: $46,090
    Negotiated price: $39,499
Acquisition fee: $925 (sales guy said it was already built-in)
Disposition fee: $350 (they said would apply after lease)
Registration: none because it's already registered through January
Down payment (including first month's payment): $2,000
    Tax rate: 7.75% (socal)

They're saying my monthly payments would be $428 and some pennies. This would be a 36-month lease at 12k miles.

    Subtract (4593 X $0.25) from the residual.
Easy way, in this case... is reduce the residual by 2.5%

Thanks! So my calcs show that I'm getting a good deal with their $428?

Anything I should be aware of in leasing a service loaner? Warranty is good for 50k. Service is to 36k, which with my lease term would have me bringing it back at 41k. Sales guy said that would entail an oil change most likely. Any major service I'm missing between 36k and 41k?

If the $428/mo is with tax included, then I'd say it's a good deal.

No real feedback on the leasing experience with loaners - folks do it all the time to get a better deal, but BMW is making it harder.

Thank you both! Negotiated actually was $40499 and adjusted cap was $37,781. I ended up getting a $2,500 rebate too. Final payment ended up being around $436. Got tagged +$8 for being Tier 2. I know they inflated MF for that not sure what else they did. By then, just got too tired and wanted to be done.

Looking at an offer on 320i, fairly fully loaded, MSRP of 45870, Sales price of 38377, 2500 rebate, 36/10, courtesy car with 1016 miles. Current offer is using MF of .00191 (i believe the current MF is .00151)

There are several fees included in the offer. Having never purchased a bmw previously, I wanted to know if these fees are routine? negotiable? bogus? etc?

    $599 dealer fee.
    $925 BMW Acquisition
1679.01 use tax and tax on rebate

Those fees along with a first months payment make the out the door of 3609.
    That seems crazy to me.

    Final monthly payment is 405/mo

I want to do away with the deal and acquisition fees but i don't know what these really are.

    Thank you

Acquisition fee is imposed by BMW FS, and is non-negotiable.

Dealer fee is pure profit, but instead of negotiating it, try to get a lower selling price to mitigate it.

Is the "Use tax" simply the taxes?

when i put in my tax calculation + tax on rebate it nearly equals the 1679

Are you purchasing a car simply on lease payment or driving fun? I had a 320i and it was a great car, but I love my 330i much better, even if the lease payments are slightly more, I'd take a 330 over a 320 any day.

    Thank you

i will need to take this 320 for a drive to make sure it has reasonable horses. i drive a 2014 passat now, so i'm hoping the awd doesn't drag the 320 too much. perhaps next lease i will be game for more fun.

Is the "Use tax" simply the taxes?

when i put in my tax calculation + tax on rebate it nearly equals the 1679

    Thank you.

    Yes.. sales tax

I really liked my 320i, however, I feel that BMW could add some more HP if you go with a 320 my suggestion is to get the BMS Stage 1 for it, plug and play add about 30 more HP and really gives the car the kick it needs.

Thank you both! Negotiated actually was $40499 and adjusted cap was $37,781. I ended up getting a $2,500 rebate too. Final payment ended up being around $436. Got tagged +$8 for being Tier 2. I know they inflated MF for that not sure what else they did. By then, just got too tired and wanted to be done.
that is a good price even for Tier 2, be happy with that you got.

thanks! I was worried bc I put down $2k and also saw they added a $2,500 rebate which was never mentioned so I was skeptical. Now I feel better about it haha.

    Hello,

Going to the dealer later today to negotiate a renewed lease. Most likely will negotiate on a 330i. Could you let me know the money factor and residual for this month? I know that BMW ended MSD, just to clarify, I will not be able to lower that whatsoever? Just to make sure, what incentives are out there this month? Thank you!

    .00151 MF and 59% residual for 36/15

No MSDs, no way to go lower on the MF
No incentives that we know of.
