Any idea what the BMW incentives will be like in Nov/Dec? I'm contemplating custom building a 2018 340i but I don't know if I should pass on a 2017 340i (with a trim and wheels that I can live with but not crazy about) and forego the $3k BMW rebate. The MSRP of my build and the 2017 are quite similar.

No idea... I doubt the deals will be anywhere near as good as the current deals on a 2017.

Thank you for the quick response! I must admit, i got my hopes up after seeing a previous poster bag a deal for $48k for a $61k 340i ;) But I guess the lack of manual transmission stock makes it harder to negotiate.

The only way to get a screaming deal like that is if the 340 was a service loaner. That was not on a NEW 340.
Fair enough :) Thanks for your input!
that was me! to be honest, I didn't ask if it was a loaner, and if it was it only had 159 miles on it and I had no intention of keeping the car after lease end...

Prior to signing, I did look on the dealer website it was listed as New, lease quote/work sheet had it as New, and the lease contract also had it as New, and I'm not seeing any indication of it as being a Loaner in previous life. For curiosity and future reference, where would one look for this information besides from it being volunteered by the dealer?

I did see other dealers who advertised as such, their 'New' loaner/demo, usually with 4-6k miles.

Any advertised deal is just adequate, IMO.

You can negotiate a better selling price, and we don't recommend the $2750 down - that makes the 'true' monthly payment $375/mo

It's an ad that's just a product of their lease program.
    $3000 lease credit from BMW
Assumed $1310 discount from the dealer

The total due at signing is $3974

The few dealerships I called acted surprised about the deal. I asked if there was any room for negotiation and the answer straight up was a no.
For the deals that you have seen what could be negotiated in this ?
I am going to be availing the grad credit for $1000 but your opinioins would help me much on this.

Hard to negotiate a price over the phone.

If you show up in person, and ask for 7-9% off sticker price, before applying any of the lease or grad incentives, they may take you more seriously.

    Hello,

I was offered the following deal on a 2017 330i all wheel drive. This car is a dealer loaner with ~4,100 miles on it.

    MSRP - $48,890
    Selling Price -$39,900
    Rebate - $3,000
    Govt Fee - $172.50
    Proc Fee- $75
    Plate Fee -$60
    Acquisition Fee -$125
    Other Fee -$10
    Gross Cap Cost = $42,411.41
    Trade -$3,500
    Cash Cap Reduction -$1,500
    Cap Cost Reduction - $8,000
    Adjusted Cap Cost - $34,411.41
Down Payment - $1500 (includes first months payment)
    Monthly Payment - $250.56

Term is 36 months with 10k mi per year.

The MF quoted is .00152 (upstate NY)
The residual quoted is 61% less $850 for mileage adjustment - $28,972.90

I'm coming up with a 2.5% APR when running these numbers.

Can you please let me know your thoughts, specifically around selling price and APR, and if its reasonable to think I can negotiate one or both further?

    Thanks so much!

I would structure it differently, without using the trade equity and the $1500 cap reduction - that money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

Is the acquisition fee a typo? It is $925 from BMWFS.

With the MSRP and selling price quoted, less the rebate, plus the $925 bank fee, there is about $1000 of sales tax due. If I add that to the cap cost, then the payment becomes about $377/mo, with only the first payment and the misc fees due at signing - about $700 total.

Have the dealer cut you a check for the equity in your car, keep the $1500 in your pocket to help offset the now higher monthly payments, and you've still got a great deal on a $49K BMW.

What MF and RV for 330e for 36/12 and 36/15 for Texas?  How does the tax rebate factor in for a lease as far as pricing?  Use it as cap cost reduction?

Hi, can I please get the RV & MF and any incentives for a new 2017 328d Wagon? MSRP is around $56k. I'm in Southern California. I am also looking at a couple of courtesy cars with <5000 miles. If they have different numbers, I would appreciate those also.

    Thanks!

If the residual is lower, doesn't that mean I pay more to lease a used car?

If the selling price is the same as a new one, then yes.
Hopefully, you'll get a bigger discount on the loaner/demo that will more than make up for the residual reduction.

If not, don't get it. ;)

thought I'd put down numbers for the deal I got in Texas last week.
    2017 330i MSRP 46325
(Preumium Pk, Nav Pk, Heated Seats plus few extras)
Alpine white with beige interior, 22 miles on the car.
    3yr/30Kmiles
    MF: 0.00152
    Total discount off MSRP: 7500
In texas you pay full sales tax up front.
My payment was $495/month (including taxes rolled in)
Up front I paid about 925 which included first month and registration.
See you guys again in 3 years!

Yes, roll the taxes into the payment.

And, you want to target 7% off the MSRP, before incentives, as your selling price.

    ttl and dealer processing $4,015.43

No way would I spend $1000/mo on a 3-series. Why are you rolling in $5700 from the current lease? That alone is adding over $150/mo to the payment.

And, 36 months is a much better term.

And, as noted, the MF is marked up.

And, the lease taxes in MD don't help.

So many things working against you on this quote.

    lol-I understand.

My office has moved and I have a terrible commute.  Having a Phev will allow me to ride in HOV with no passenger.  Therefore the $150 is worth the expense.

New 3 series is coming out next year; therefore I do not want a 3 year lease.

Maybe I will look at the 5 series as it will suit me better for the 3 year term.

I am thinking of leasing a 2017 BMW 340 in NJ. I am a current BMW owner. Is $3,000 the only rebate available? Is there any owner loyalty or conquest (our other car is Acura) rebate that can be added? Thanks for any info.

On most leases, we are seeing an extra $1000 rebate on most models. No idea if it applies to the 340i.

msrp is 50,000, trading in a Toyota worth 4k. dealer wants down payment and tax +fees.
Then the monthly lease would be $400. is it worth it or is there a lower price possible.

You have to come up with more money, besides the $4000 trade?
To take a guess, we need the exact MSRP and adjusted CAP cost.
    Term/mileage?
    State/tax rate?
How much out of your pocket, besides the trade?

MF is marked up from the base of .00152. That is adding $30-40/mo to the payment.

Thank you. Otherwise, if I can get the MF reduced to .00152, does the residual and rest of it look good? Thanks again.

Residual is fixed by the bank.

How much of a discount are you getting on the MSRP, before applying the incentive? You want to shoot for 7% (or higher, if you're feeling lucky).
