I suspect there is room to improve on the dealer offer.

Get the adjusted cap cost from the dealer, and we can run some numbers.

The Adjusted Cap cost is $49,600

I get $518/mo with those prices. If this is a true sign and drive, then all taxes and fees would be part of the cap cost. I suspect you have given me the selling price. Ask the dealer for the cost with everything added in.

I am sorry I don't get $518 with the Adjusted Cap Cost of $49,600. Please see the screenshot below and let me know if there is any mistake in my calculation.

NJ is not taxing the monthly payment, so the calculations you are showing me are wrong. NJ taxes the sum of the payments and collects the money up front. As you've stated this is a 'sign and drive' lease, I have to assume that the tax amount is added to the selling price.

Same with the acquisition fee ($925) and the dealer fee (don't know the exact amount, but likely $400-600).

Ask the dealer for this information and the new adjusted cap cost that results.

Something seems off with those numbers. When I plug them in, I get the correct monthly rent charge ($89.09/mo), but my monthly depreciation is only $223.18/mo, not the $334.74/mo shown.

Ask the dealer why that is.

EDIT - never mind, I was using a 36 month term, not 24. I'm now just a nickel off the calculated payment shown

This car almost has 5k miles on it I would be asking for a bigger discount. Again what is the MSRP? You can also tell the dealer that you want ZERO out of pocket and a monthly payment of $xxx.xx and let them play with the numbers until the dealers figure it out. This is what I did on my current 330i and I got what I wanted.

This dealer is too lazy to work with and not too transparent. I just saw got an offer from Volvo for S90. 24 month lease 10k miles. 1000 due at signing 375+tax. On top of that they are paying $750 per month till up to 6 months of payments maxed out at 4500 to pay off ur current bmw lease. My friend will juat do that. Better than a used 3 series any day. 1. We suggest 7% off MSRP, before incentives - but, some folks have been reporting more than that
2. A new program is released on 11/1
3. No information on loyalty incentives

I m adding the inception fees to the gross capitalized cost of the car. Then I deduct the $3K in ncentives and the down payment I have from the equity in my trade.

Is that how it should work?

Residuals are reduced by $0.25 per mile for existing mileage on a demo.
Due to other residual reductions, units with over 5000 miles are not usually a good deal.
