Any idea how much these dealer fees run?
Dealer quoted MSRP as 40,150, said cap cost/sale price is 35,493.93. Said rebates/incentives are 3800.
    1) are incentives already off in this cap price?
    2) I thought there was 4,000k in lease cash? Where do I find this info?

    Many thanks.

Likely that the sale price already includes the incentives.

Lexus incentives are regional - and, we don't have all the regions. So, lease cash could be different where you live.

Lease cash is a factory to dealer incentive; it won't be published anywhere.

$700 acquisition fee is the only one we know of for sure.

There is likely to be a dealer doc fee, but that amount varies. Plus state or county level registration costs.

Looking to lease an Es350 in NY. 36/10 and 36/12 terms.
can you please provide me with the following info?:
    - money factor
    - residual
    - incentives

    Also,
what would you consider would be a fair % off of MsRP if I was to purchase? What are the finance terms offered now?

    thank you,
    Bill

I couldn't find the answer to the question, "what is fair % off the MSRP when leasing (excluding the lease cash discount)?

We don't track pricing; have you used the 'make / model / year' pull downs at the top of the page to link to the pricing tools?

The TMV price is the target you want to meet or beat for your zip code.

If dealer is putting my last lease payment of my current vehicle into new lease negotiation, should it be added to the gross cap cost?
  • Options
    chrissyocchrissyoc Member Posts: 18
    Here is where we are:
    msrp 40150
    rv: 19272 (48%)
    42 months, 12k, zero down
Gross cap cost is sale price 37000 + acq 795+ my current last payment of 345 = 38140

cap cost reduction is a rebate 3153.81(until tonight this was 3800 lease cash and now it is this??)

    adj cap cost: 34986

    419/month

is this where that last payment belongs? Can they just alter the lease cash amount? Is this the correct residual percent?

My guess is that the remainder of the $3800 is being used to address other up front costs (last lease payment? is the payment amount a number that has .19 on it?)

    42/12 residual is 48%

They put the monthly payment at 419.65.
They also never seemed to have the 4000 lease cash everyone in here mentions. They said it was 3800.

When i I attempt to follow the edmunds formula by hand or use the calculator, my monthly price is always in the 369 area.

There are four elements to a lease payment:

    MSRP
Adjusted cap cost - this is the selling price plus any fees or taxes you are not paying up front, less any up front money or incentives. Make sure you fully understand all the math involved that gets to this number
    MF
    Residual

Once you know those four items, we can calculate the payment. My guess is that the adjusted cap cost used by the dealer is not the same as the one you are using in your calculations. Politely ask them why that is.

I was not able to deal last month. I was hoping to get an updated MF and RV for 36/12k and 36/15k 2017 Lexus ES350 in South Florida, 33069. Also, is 4,000 lease cash still available and is there Lexus Loyalty Cash that may be stacked. Thank you for your assistance!

$2000 due from you at signing? What does that cover?

$331/mo on a $43K car is a great payment, but that $2000 may include some cap reduction, which masks the true monthly cost.

I'd say it's a pretty good deal. To compare, our 2016, msrp 47015 same lease term with $1k at signing is 425 incl OC sales tax. Recommend reducing the out of pocket to $1k to take the payment to around 359. If you like the car as equipped, pull the trigger.

$2,000 covers all the fees. It was either $331 (w/ tax, fees) + $2,000 drive off or $388 + $0 drive off.

The money factor is so low, rolling the $2k into the payment is inconsequential as far as extra interest is concerned - but the deal is solid for sure so no matter how you decide to go, I think you'll be happy.

Sounds like a great deal but what is the msrp and what was your actual sale price before adding TTL? Straight up deal or was there a trade in involved?

Even when you add in the $300 doc fee, you're almost at 19% discount off msrp - an excellent deal in my opinion - inventories are starting to dwindle so the good discounts are getting harder to achieve. Nice work!

Congrats and enjoy your new ES - they are fantastic vehicles!
