    If I use the entire up front cash as cap reduction, the payment drops to $626/mo, which is a lot closer to your $639/mo quote.

    looking for residual and mf for 24 and 36 month lease (12k and 15k mi/year) of 2018 Audi Q5 Prestige. If i choose a single-payment lease (make all the payments up-front), I believe i should get a discounted money factor....can you provide that MF as well?

    How do these dealers get away with lying about the state sales tax to reduce their discount ? They not only used the total purchase price of the car instead of the leased value of the car as if it was simple purchase and not lease.

    I wouldn't say they are lying - I suspect it's how the software is set up.

    If this is an AutoNation dealer, they all quote leases the same way. You just have to be persistent to get the numbers you need to calculate the lease payment.

    In VA, negotiated 2018 Q5 premium plus MSRP was 52,790, reduced to purchase price 43,796. RV 32,729 and mf .00177. 7500/36mo.
    What should my monthly payment be?
    What should I expect to pay up front (Va is weird because personal property taxes are assessed annually and I don't know where and when the sales tax is assessed)? thanks.
    Can I get the mf down -- credit is +800

    Base MF is .00169 - not sure why the dealer would bump it up such a small amount.

    In VA, the sales tax rate of 4.1% is assessed against the entire selling price - it can either be paid at signing, or added to the selling price and made part of the monthly payment. Same with the acquisition fee - paid up front or added to monthly payment.

    We prefer the latter, as the money would be lost if paid up front and the car was stolen or totaled.

    Personal property taxes are likely collected as part of the registration process - at least, that's how it works here in Colorado.

    Hello, we were offered 45630 selling price for 2018 Q5 Prerium, about 10% off MSRP 50700, plus 6.25% sales tax in Texas, $895 acquisition fee and TTL $343z.  

    For lease 36/12k, they gave 58% residual value, but 0.00184 MF.   We have good credit score.  Are we able to negotiate the mf down?   Our old car have 80k for 10 years, shall we choose 10k instead of 12k to save a little?

    Yes, you can tell the dealer you won't sign a deal unless they use the base MF.

    10K will add 1% to the residual value - get the number of miles you think you'll use.
