Edit: There was no money down on this. Only paid the first payment upfront.

This seems like a solid offer. Are VW money factors usually this high? Are these cars typically this discounted?

SE FWD: .00161 MF and 58% residual. $2300 lease cash

Residual is a percentage of MSRP
CAP taxes: TX taxes the full selling price, even on a lease. That looks like 1.25% of your sale price. The "CAP" part, means they rolled that amount into the CAP cost.

Residual dropped 1% this month, but the lease cash went up $250, so it should be a wash.
Hopefully, you can still get tax credits, this month. That saves $1000.
That $215/mo with just first payment is a great deal.

What is the lease payment on a 2018 VW Tiguan SE FWD and AWD for 10k / yr and 0 down? Terms are flexible, nothing more than 36 months however. Coming from Chevy lease, if VW offers competitive cash. NJ registration. $27,650 MSRP on FWD and $28,950 MSRP on AWD. Thanks in advance!

I would go with the Tiguan. The Grand Cherokee is bigger, but the Tiguan is better quality and will feel like a more expensive driving vehicle.

I got the following breakdown for SEL Premium. Anyone kindly shed your thoughts on these numbers. I think there is a lot of BS in this quote but I would like experts opinion before I start a conversation with them. The dealer is in NYC.

The lease payment will vary with the selling price you negotiate.

So far I found Reydel VW in NJ eager to sell. They gave me a very good price among NJ dealers . They have already offered me Invoice price minus $2500 below invoice on any SE awd model.

Douglass VW & Union are also pretty competitive right now.

You shouldn't pay sticker price for the Tiguan. We don't follow pricing, so can't give you a number to target. Read back through this thread to see what others are paying.

Does that discount have anything to do with lease cash? What is the current money factor? What kind of payment am I looking at 3 years 36000 miles, 2000-3000 cash down including taxes fees first months payment. Campbell County KY.

I have seen many questions about pricing, and this section is for lease information.  When you know the lease cash, take that number off of the msrp.  If you pay that price, the dealer hasn’t given you any actual discount.  That would be your new starting point for a “dealer” discount.  So if there was no lease cash involved, and you wanted 2000 off msrp, then you’d want 2000 off after taking the lease cash off.  Others have posted what their discounts have been to give you an idea of the market

These guys don’t follow the market, but I imagine if you gave them model,msrp and where you are located, they could give you an idea of what price you’d need to negotiate to get a desired monthly payment and money down.

No way to know what the discount means. It's possible that it's not compatible with the lease program.

Assuming that the sale price listed is the adjusted CAP cost:
SE: $330/mo.+tax
SEL: $353/mo.+tax
KY tax is 6% on the payment, collected monthly
That would be with 1st payment, $675 acq. fee, $250 doc fee and $100 DMV, due upfront. (about $1400 total)

I'd say you are making assumptions that are likely not real-world.
As I mentioned in my last post, that discount may not even be valid with the lease program.

What are the numbers for tier 2?

The numbers provided are for tiers 1 and 2 (700+ score). Tier 3 adds .00030 to the MF (680-699 score)

No, what I’m saying is when they say their discount is 3,500, and you know the lease cash is 2,800, then you know that their “actual” discount is 700.  (3500-2800). And you could safely assume they can do better than a $700 discount.  But I think it’s unlikely they’d give you 3500 off and sacrifice all the lease cash also.  Good luck to you, but what I’ve seen is $4000-4500 less than msrp for a lease seems to be where aggressive dealers are willing to go.  That was when lease cash was 2500, so you could push that a little.  Some may do more, some less.  Shop around.

Financing the vehicle will get you up to X dollars off .. If your leasing a certain model there is dealer lease cash . You can not combine both . Its what applies to your deal.............. lease or buy

In my experience (I've never actually bought a VW), Kings VW and Wyler in Florence are pretty easy to work with. Beechmont is okay, but they never have any inventory. I avoid Joseph. Terrible follow-through.
