dealer doesn’t have many 2018 on the lot.
How does it work if I want to order one, do I pay deposit to place the order and what month RV and MF
will they lock me in ?

I don't think Mercedes will lock rates on ordered cars. You get what is in effect at delivery.
But, in your price negotiations, ensure that they agree to the base money factor rate at that time (in writing).

My lease is up soon so last night I went to the dealer to see if I can place the order for 2018 C300 4Matic.
They were trying hard to find me one that exist in other dealers inventory. (they didn’t find any that fit my specification)
Now, is it true that you can’t negotiate better price on “order cars” vs. what’s on the lot or if they bring one in from different dealer? (that’s what the sales manager is saying)

Sales managers say a lot of things; most of them you can take with a grain of salt.

Yes, you can negotiate your price on a special order vehicle. But, you have to know the MSRP first, so you can figure out what your best price is. Get that locked in before placing the order.

Went to the dealer Friday night (I'm in CT.) to order 2018 C300 4matic,
the car that we build came out to MSRP of $56440, I asked for 11%
they first offer 6% I said no and than they came back with 10%.
This would be my second car form this Dealer.
Any comments ?

We don't keep historical information, but generally, the money factor and the residual go down slightly, each month.

Be advised, leasing is more expensive in MD, as they tax the entire selling price.

The drive off of $1100 is not nearly enough to cover the inception costs (first payment, acquisition fee, dealer fee, sales tax). The cap cost is the selling price plus those inception costs.

There may be a tax credit on your trade, but we don't know enough about Maryland tax law to know exactly how it works.

Michaell, I know you don't recommend placing a down payment on a lease so therefore this is just a question to fulfill my curiosity.

Let's say I do place a $3000 down payment on a $40k car thereby bringing the adjusted cap down to $37k, does this mean I am not paying interest on that $3000 down and also does that mean I don't pay sales tax on that same $3000? Am I only paying tax and interest only on the ($37K minus the residual)?

Tax rules depend on your state. You can be certain that you can't lower your tax bill by making a downpayment, though. Which state?

But, yes.. any downpayment won't incur finance charges on that amount.
