Thank you for confirming - thought this was okay. As always, you have been very helpful!

Acquisition fee is not marked up.
$695 doc fee is ridiculous, but just consider it part of the selling price. Even adding that on, the discount is good.

Thank you! This dealer has a history of a high Doc fee, and they never negotiate on it. I tried to push the limit on the discount in effort to take it out there instead. Sounds like the current discount they are offering offsets that fee enough to still make this an okay deal. Again, thanks for all the support you guys provide!

I put down a deposit for the following deal on the 2018 X3 in NJ. it was closing time so he said he will provide the breakdown at time of delivery but said if you are satisfied with the overall price you should hold the car.
    MSRP - 50585
Out of pocket at time of delivery - 3000
He added two rebates - loyalty (1500) and a 1000$ voucher that i had from bmw for rebate
    Monthly payment 587 (x23 months)
Plus he will pay off 2 payments worth 1000$ in total for my current BMW.

In all i'm paying 16501 over a period of 24 months with 10k miles per year. The other lowest offer i had got from another dealer was 699/month and 2500 out of pocket (but at that time i did not have the 1000$ rebate offer and i don't think i had told him about my existing BMW)

I tried various combinations on the lease calculator websites but most of them take me to around 17k for 2 yrs all inclusive. Does anything look shady in the deal without knowing other parameters like MF or cap cost as residual would be common at most places and taxes are known upfront.

The only other thing mentioned in the dealer form given to me was that he had put down 5500 as out of pocket out of which he was covering 2500 in rebates, leaving 3k for me. Document fees mentioned was 499. He quoted me 619/month, then readily made it 600 and when i asked to make it 16.5k total, he readily agreed without hesitation (the last time i went to him i had to bargin for almost 30 mins)

Without a selling price or adjusted CAP cost, we really have no calculations to confirm.
So i went to the dealer again and got the selling price from him as 47985 (5% or less discount). I did change the model i had chosen, the previous one had a MSRP of 50485, while the one i finally selected has slightly different options and has a MSRP of 50645 (he had to get it from another dealer). The doc fee on his initial form is 499. and Rebates applied are 2500. There was however another rebate mentioned on his website for 2000$, which he was unwilling to provide (details below)

$2,000 Cash Back On Select BMW Models
    MANUFACTURER OFFERS
    $2,000 cash back
Offer only valid 3/06/2018 through 1/02/2019
    Applies to multiple models.

i checked the multiple models list and found the 2018 X3 in it.

Even if we exclude the above, is my lease a good deal? 3000 out of pocket (out of the 5500 down he's put down on paper) and 587 monthly

    .00156 MF and 65% residual for 24/10.

So, $3000 due at signing... What is the monthly payment?

    Could I get the numbers for a 2018 X3 xdrive30 12k/36 months in Dallas-Fort Worth?

Premium Package, Drivers Assistance Package, Convenience if that matters.

Also, dealer is trying to roll the employer discount (EPP) into their discount and make it look like a markdown, but as I understand it that is a separate benefit that should come off the finance ($2000) or lease ($500). Any insights?

Also, any ideas on how much to target off the sticker?

    Thanks!

587 is the monthly payment. Here are the actual numbers (he seems to have changed many of figures from what he showed me earlier)
    Selling cost - 45958 (MSRP 50645)
    Cap cost reduction - 2759
    Rebates - 2500
    Gross cap cost - 46882
    adjusted cost - 44122

Does it look right? excluding these numbers my total payment including down payment is 16500 for 24 months.

Thank you.The offer also has 2 lease payments on the current BMW(total of 1000$). I don't see a pull ahead program from BMW right now(there was one in Dec for which i got a letter), so not sure if he's paying from his pocket or putting it on BMW FS.

    Is this a good deal?

Over 9% discount from MSRP and base MF are good.

I would confirm how the existing lease will be handled. Hate to have a last minute surprise that will cost you.

    I have been given a quote for X3 xDrive30i for 44,145 MSRP
    Dealer Discount: 3000
    Financing Offer : 2000
    Corporate Lease Dic: 500

    Final Offer: 44145 - 5500 = 38,645 (Before salestax and handling charges)

Any thoughts if this is a good offer?

I havent found any financing terms yet. Dealer is giving me 2K additional off which he says is coming from BMW if car is financed from any outside bank. I need to ask if there is a condition to finance car from their provided banks or from anywhere. My credit is good so looking for any 1.9 to 2.9 APR for 60 months.

We show that the $2000 credit is good for BMWFS financing or outside financing..

And, that's compatible with 1.9% for up to 60 months from BMWFS.
I'm surprised they didn't offer BMWFS financing, even with a marked up rate (2.9%).

Even I was surprised when the sales person told me that I will get 2K discount if I dont finance from BMWFS. I will call them and ask if I can get the same discount even if I get my own financing.

    Hi everyone,

Can I get an advice on this new BMW X3 M40i? It's 36 months, 12k per year. Due at start would be $1,571 and $812/month after tax (9%)

They said they can't move MF to .00156 or anything closer, because the discount is already so large (62,095 - 6,684 = 55,411 = 10.76% of the MSRP). I told them I wanted to land somewhere in $750/760 and said $816/mo for X3 seems pricey and left.
    It's Norcal (Bay Area)

    Thanks for any advice!

    I agree with that math.

Dealers are wising up - giving a bigger discount on sticker, but marking up the MF to claw some of that discount back.

If I run the numbers with a 7% discount and the base MF, the payment goes up to $847/mo.

So, you're getting a fair deal.

Of course, if you can get the 10% and the base MF, then you'll have a great deal ($772/mo)

Reach out to more dealers, and see if you can find one willing to play ball.

Good morning- just started the negotiation on a X3 M40i (MSRP 68,470). Trying to get 9% off MSRP (before loyalty/other rebates) and the waiving of my last 2 X5 lease payments ($1700 in total). Do you think this would be a good deal if I can get it?

I'm most likely going to buy it this time around given the 1.9% financing (and $2k finance rebate if it sticks around for April) versus the 10/36 high money factor (.00156) and 58% residual for a lease without an incentive. Thanks in advance

Yes... with 1.9% financing and $2000 rebate, that would be a good deal.

The dealer (where I've bought the last 2 cars) simply said "NO" to my email offer. It will bring great pleasure to purchase it elsewhere and do the Performance Delivery Center experience/delivery again. If you haven't done it and you're within a days driving distance, it's worth it.

I'm looking to lease a 2018 BMW X3 M40i. We currently have an X6, so I think we get some sort of loyalty rebate, but I don't have the details. Here are the details I do know:

    - State of Michigan
    - 12,000 miles
    - MSRP = $54,300
    - Suggested retail with upgrades and packages = $64,245 (upgrades listed below)
    - Black Sapphire Metallic ($550)
    - Black Vernasca Leather ($1700)
    - Driving Assistance Package ($900)
    - Driving Assistance Plus ($1700)
    - Premium Package ($2950)
    - Front and rear heated seats ($350)

The initial lease quotes we got are:

    1. 24 months = $1,129
    2. 30 months = $999
    3. 36 months = 919

What numbers should we be shooting for in our negotiations? Let me know if you need additional information and I'll get it for you. Thank you for your help!

Lets just forget about 24 or 30 months.

    36/12
    .00156 MF and 58% residual
    $1500 lease loyalty

    $64,245 MSRP
With 6% off MSRP, plus $925 acquisition fee, minus the $1500 loyalty, your adjusted CAP cost would be $59,815.
    $778/mo.+6% tax = $825/mo.
Due at signing = 1st payment + DMV + dealer fees

I think that the selling price they are using is MSRP + the upgrades. We haven't negotiated anything off of the selling price. We just asked for a lease quote to see what they were starting with. So, the selling price they are working off of is probably $64,245.

$0 down other than first month's payment and fees. Let me know if you need anything else. Thank you!

I believe in lease term you should get more then 6% off.

The total discount I got was 3.5k, not sure if it included things you mentioned above, but that’s the most I could negotiate. I tried 3 dealers and multiple rounds of negotiations, that’s the best deal I got.

Hello, I believe there have around 2k rebate different between purchase and lease. I didnt quote for lease, my salesman told me the lease program does not really good for now. Also I did financial outside of BMW, I think this is the 2k rebate come from.
