    Hi all,

Would you please review the below deal and let me know your thoughts?

I generally would never never put down that much in downpayments but since MSD is no longer an option, I am comfortable with going this route.

Would love to hear feedback and see if the selling price is reasonable or if you feel there is any more room for negotiation.

Already using loyalty and lunar new year incentives.

    Thank you in advance!

That's a great deal on this model.. But, MSD or not, still no point in putting that money upfront.

$1500 upfront and your payment is $634/mo.

    I'd grab that deal.

Hi all, car buying/leasing is frustratingly like mattress buying. Same product going to 10 different people for 10 different prices. Grrrr. While this is a lease thread and the financing incentives are a little different/better, I wanted to give an alert that in the Mid-Atlantic I was able to nab a 2018 X3 x30i for 25% off MSRP and another dealer seemed willing to go to 20% off MSRP. Others would not move below 15% off. I did not have Loyalty, but they were able to give me the Corporate one (ask if your company is on their list) and then at least one other generally applicable incentive (unclear what my incentive vs. dealer discount breakdown was). Not sure where it leaves lessors, but buyers should be able to get considerably below MSRP with some negotiating and pitting of dealers. I think the reason for this is that the car is priced above its competitors if equipped similarly and also the stiff overall competition.

25% off MSRP is a fantastic discount.

Can you provide MF and RV for the 2018 X3 xDrive30i and M40i? Lease terms for both are 10k/24 months and 12k/36 months. Any lease incentives? I am located in MA.

    12K/yr. Add 1% for 10K/yr
.00152 MF and 64%/58% residual for 24/36 mo.
No lease incentives, except for loyalty.

Why would you need a different annual mileage allowance for 24 months vs. 36?

Now that the calendar has turned to March, are there new numbers for RV and MF for the X3? What about other makes/models? If they are the same as February I'm good but if new, I need RV and MF on X3 x35i 24/36 15K in Ohio Zip code 43614

Hi - is there a dedicated X2 forum? (I searched and couldn't find it). Or are the X1, X2, X3, etc... rates the same? Looking for March lease rates for a 36/10 lease on an X2 in Maryland. Thanks!!!

Not yet - the Edmunds admins need to add the X2 to the list of BMW models first, before we can create any dedicated threads.

.00152 and 59% is what I'm showing for March, but since every other BMW model shows .00156 for this month, I'll have to say I'm not 100% convinced of the accuracy of that information.

I read on another forum that MF was bumped .00004 for March so .00156 seems accurate.

Hard to tell. Notice that the numbers up top are for the "Purchase Option", which doesn't 100% apply to a lease.

Ask the dealer for the "adjusted cap cost" and see what number they give you, and make sure you understand how they got there from the "AutoNation Price"

    Hello

I was able to get this lease offer on a execute demo '18 X3 M40i. The dealer was not able to reduce the money factor (I asked for .00156), nor was the dealer able to reduce the asking price (58,500 or 10% off MSRP). Is this still a good deal?

Without the base MF, I can't endorse this as a good deal, even with the big discount from sticker.

    What state is this?
How many miles are on the car?

$800/mo for an X3 seems pricey, especially for a demo.

Appreciate your reply. This is in California. I did not ask about the miles, I will do so.

The dealer also offered me $1,500 off if I were to finance through an external bank. Quoted me $760 for an 84 month term. I would get out of the car between 3 and 5 years, but I am worried about the negative equity.

The dealer would not agree to adjust the cap cost by $1,500 if I were to lease unfortunately, the deal is only valid if I go through an external bank (not BMW FS).

If your intention is to keep the car longer than the lease term, then considering traditional financing makes sense. If you want to only keep the car the lease term, stick with leasing.

I'm doing some math on lease vs finance (55k financed, 4%/72m). Looking at the amortization schedule, I'll owe the bank $21k. BMW says the residual is 58% or $37k. Doesn't this mean I have some equity?

    Leasing:
Interest: 3.7% (using base money factor)
    Payments: 29k ($815 x 36 months)
    Down: $2k
    Total: $30k

    Financing:
    Interest: 3.99%
    Payments: $27k ($760 x 36 months)
    Down: $5k
    Total: $32k

BUT since the car is worth $37k per BMW's 58% residual, wouldn't I get $5k back? Making financing net $3k more than leasing?

What am I missing? I know leasing is the better option, but how about in this case?

BMW residual values very rarely have any basis in reality. They are inflated to make the lease payment more attractive. At the end of the lease, the true market value is likely to be far less than the residual buyout value from the lease paperwork.

I got the Quotes from dealer , can you review & confirm if this is good. But few points
    - I was told I get a 500 $ off for employer discount : so some 15 $ off on payment.
    - Once I remove the Ding / Perma / Kahu : 1100 $ off : so it will remove 35 $ from payment.
    - The trade in value once if it is changed to 10,000 $ instead of 8500 $ , to max carmax : then another 35 bucks would be off.
    - 15 + 35 + 35 =85$
    So effective monthly payment : 795$ - 85 $ = 710$

Is this a good deal for X3 for 36 months , 12,000 miles ? Can you suggest. Thanks

Thanks
Still have a $589 doc fee, and a marked up money factor. The discount is about 5% off MSRP, so that's average.

Removing those items ($1200), $1500 more for trade, $500 employer discount... That's $3200 less.
$95/mo.+tax for that. (about $102/mo. less)
Drop money factor to .00156 on top of that, and that's another $34/mo.

That would take you to $658/mo, including tax.. That would be a decent deal (not great, just fair to both sides)

    - $589 doc fee : Dealer not ready to reduce.
    - Drop money factor to .00156 : Dealer is not ready here either. Will speak again.

They never negotiate the doc fee.... the best you can do is get rid of the other garbage, and/or shop around.

Bummer I thought I was on to something there . Thanks for the feedback.

In your opinion, what is considered a good deal for an X3 m40i, 36/12k, and MSRP of 65,500 in California?

We don't generally track pricing, but for BMW, 7% off MSRP is a good discount.

Thanks again for all the info. So with the X3 this month there is only a loyalty incentive of 1500? No lease cash?

Agreed. Can you please share dealer info?

    The discount is good.
$589 doc fee plus $299 for "Kahu GPS" look like garbage fees.
So, they just took back $900 of your discount.

With the marked up money factor, I get $731/mo.+tax, which looks about right.
With the base money factor, the payment would be $697/mo.+tax, or about $746/mo.

Assuming the offer for your trade is fair, that's an average deal. (with the base MF of .00156)
