Looking to purchase a Honda Accord LX in Texas area.

    1. What level of dealer rebate is Honda offering dealerships for sales on the Accord LX?
    2. Are dealer rebates conditional upon financing through the dealership?

    Thanks your help in advance.

There are no incentives on the LX. Either consumer or dealer.

@JQTaxapayer - Your vehicle price is about $1544 below invoice price. Not a bad deal given dealer (doc) fees are about $200. You could try and squeeze a few more hundred dollars towards the end of the month. However, if you like the car and it is in the color combo you want, then do not wait too long since inventory might be thinning on 2018 models.

    Good luck.

I just purchased an EX-L 1.5 (no navigation) in Houston. I just want to share the price information to help people on this forum.

    MSRP $30865
Dealer accessories MSRP $2014 (IBEX interior/exterior sealant, nitrogen in tire, tint, mud flaps, wheel locks, cargo tray.)
    Total MSRP $32879

    Sale price $25302.73
    Accessories $1097
    Sales tax @ 6.25%: $1649.98
    Document fee $189
    Title: $33
    License plate: $136.25
    Inspection Fee: $23.75
    Full Deputy fee: $10
    Inventory tax: $58.29
    Total driveout: $28500

This is after one week work of getting quotes/price match from all dealers around Houston. All dealers quoted same vehicle at $28600 to $28800 drive out over email. I picked 3 dealers that are over 25 miles from me and offered them $28000 drive out over the phone, and I never heard back from them. I went in to the closest dealership at my location on the past Saturday. Whole negotiation process went smooth, and reached $28500 agreement in an hour.

    Good luck to everyone.

I forgot to mention. I paid cash for the car. Out of the 3 dealers that I offered $28000, one of them said they will agree to $28000 if I finance with them.

    Again, good luck to everyone!

Why ask 351.76 is lower than 381.00.

    Is residual always based on MSRP .56 x 32860 = $18401.6 (off by $2.80)

So IF you handed them the keys @ month 36 the dealership would most likely sell the car used North of 18,404?

    Thanks

Yes.. always based on MSRP. One of those numbers is wrong. The MSRP is likely $32,865.

The dealer doesn't get the car at lease end, Honda Finance does. The dealer it's returned to usually gets first chance to buy it from Honda Finance at current wholesale market value. Of course, they can always decline. Honda Finance hopes that they've estimated the residual value correctly, but that number doesn't actually influence what the dealer pays for it. That residual price only matters to the current lessee, if they want to purchase the vehicle.

Very interesting. Since 2018s have not been selling that well, Honda must want to give dealers time to clear their inventory.

Thanks, one dealer has offered a decent price and anxious to sell obviously, but saying he doesn't think there will be incentives in Nov. Obviously dealers have their own motivations and I was waiting for some end of year factory support.

Not only does East Coast Honda have well over 100 plus 2018 Accords left....... there's still 160 CRV's left too. Rows & Rows .

Honda will most likely have a huge year end clearance push in the next few months. With a late 2019 arrival they will probably make a lot fewer accords to keep the price up. Last year the hybrids were due out in January but were pushed back till april also

What a not so smart gamble from Honda thinking the new Accord was just going to sell itself without much incentives, especially those looking to lease.

Another issue here is that more and more folks are buying large SUVs. Other competitors like Toyota are offering better deals on their cars.

Here's a link for midsize sales for Sept 2018...

    http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2018/10/midsize-car-sales-in-america-september-2018/#1

    1. Camry 27,640
    2. Accord 25,357
    3. Fusion 15,878
    4. Altima 11,867

The Accord is still selling well considering how far and fast the sedan market in general has fallen.

I've driven both the new Camry and the new Accord. The Accord is a much better car than the Camry in pretty much every way. If you want a Camry get one. But if you want what imho is the best midsize sedan get an Accord, but it'll cost a bit more.

Yeah, I think this is true. It's a better car because it costs Honda more to make.

@benjaminh looks like from your website posted . Honda sales are down 60k units since last year so far in 2018 . @bluemkn57cars is correct more family buyers buying SUV's . There getting better discounts , bigger vehicle. Toyota's fleet sales w/ good excellent discounts helps Toyota Camry. Smart buyer buys Accord I agree .

Hello, this is my first time buying my own car as an adult. I want to know that I’m not getting short sighted since I don’t have much experience. I’m looking at a Honda Accord EX 2018 black/black and the best I have gotten from a dealer is 27,800 (https://imgur.com/a/EF2vtBJ). Two other dealers were not able to match this price and not a lot of dealers in my area (Los Angeles) seem to have this model and color. Can I find better? It’s been really difficult getting the salespeople to budge.

    Hi all,

I'm in the market for a Honda Accord 2018 Sport 1.5T trim. The dealer is offering me a purchase price ($22700) that is $2000 below the invoice price ($24700) and the offer is valid till end of October. Is it worth waiting for any November deal or should I go ahead with the Dealer's offer.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I'm hesitating since I'm not sure whether it is the best price that I can get. I can afford to wait till end of next month if I can get a better deal.

I live in North California (Folsom).

Finally took the wheel of my Accord sport full time today, just shy of 4k miles. wife is happy with our new addition purchase last night A 2018, Toyota Highlander limited. Applied the same buying advice as suggest in this forum. Actual buying a Toyota is a hell of alot easier than negotiating a Accord .lol

Bought a 2.0t EXL for $27,000 + $400 Doc fee (plus all the usual tax/title/inspection etc). I'm pretty pleased with the deal, $250 lower than my best phone/email quote.

That is a $5,865 discount from the MSRP ($32,865). Excellent!

Congrats. That's more than $3100 below invoice (before doc fees). Did that include any flex cash or incentives?

It is always a good idea to include that info when listing your sale price, so that folks looking to buy the same car have an idea of pricing before any incentives.

So before Flex cash, your deal was about $2100 below invoice. Enjoy the car.

I live near Los Angeles, CA and I'm wondering what it's possible to get the 2018 Honda Accord hybrid touring model for...

    MSRP: $35,605
    Invoice: $31,734

Is it possible to get the car down to $30k? What would be the lowest OTD I could likely get it for?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

With low supply of Hybrids, pricing might not be as aggressive as some gas models. Have you reached out to dealers in your area for pricing? Until you do so, you would not know if $30k is doable.

On Tuesday (Oct 30) I picked up a 1.5T Sport with security package in lunar silver for $21,829 for an out the door price of $24,700 (included tax, tags, registration, $895 destination and $300 doc fee). This was in Bethesda, MD (outside Washington, DC).

    What's a good price to pay (excluding taxes/title/license for a 2018 1.5T Sport?
I went to a local dealership in Louisiana today after getting a quote from a different dealership in Dallas, TX. The dealership in TX quoted me $22,750 plus tax and fees, but did not specify the fees and I haven't heard back from them yet. The dealership in LA quoted me $25,488 plus $599 for floor mats and a trunk tray. I told them the dealership in TX quoted me $22,750 and they essentially said "that's impossible, that's less than we pay for the car." They insisted that the TX dealership attaches accessories and does not include that in the quoted price for the car. I've read tons of message on this forum and no one seems to mention that they paid "$XX,XXX for the car, $X,XXX for ACCESSORIES, $XXX doc fee, and $X,XXX taxes." It seems like people here just mention how much they pay for the car and how much they pay for docs and taxes. Since states have different tax rates, I just want to know what a reasonable price to pay for this car is minus taxes. Should I expect to have to pay for unwanted accessories? If the answer is no, then how DO dealerships sell a car for less than the "invoice price" listed online and still make it profit if you don't have to buy unwanted accessories?

Sorry for all the questions, and thanks in advance.
