Your generated internet quote of 23,299 puts that deal at $1184 below invoice price. A Terrible deal for a end of the year model sale . Invoice price for a Sport 1.5 model = $24,483

Read prior posting from CA to see what dealers are discounting there Accords better .

    How's this as a deal:

    2018 Red Accord Touring 1.5L

    $26,372 + 895 freight = 27,267
    + 299 MD pro fee
    + 6% MD tax
    + 279 MD tags
    = 29,498.96 OTD

Looking for an Accord EX-L in either the 1.5 or 2.0 in 33434. Which model do you guys think I'd be able to get the best bottom line price on if paying cash?
  • beee513beee513 Member Posts: 27
Herb Chambers of Seekonk, MA I was thinking of getting the EX instead of the EX-:L since I actually prefer cloth vs. leather seats and figure I could save a bit of money. Below is the breakdown they gave me for both trims (there is also the 750 loyalty cash on top of the numbers below since I am turning in maturing lease and financing). I would only be saving $400 by getting the EX.

Just thought I would share this breakdown in case anyone else is looking at these trims.

So there's an extra $1350 discounted plus another $800 in flex money on the EXL trim ONLY:

    *EXL ACCORD
    MSRP $30865
    DISCOUNT $4759
    SELLING PRICE $26106
FLEX CASH $800 (shown as money down -ONLY ON EXL'S)

    *EX ACCORD
    MSRP $28365
    DISCOUNT $3389
    SELLING PRICE $24976
    FLEX CASH $0

Does anyone know if Honda typically offers additional money at year-end? I recall when I was looking back in December, 2014, I was contacted by the dealership saying that Honda had authorized an additional $500 during the last few days of the year.

Just sent an email to a local dealer for a 2018 Honda Accord 1.5T Touring which they're having 'clearance sales' on. They got back to me with an E-PRICE of "$28608 plus fees and any dealer added accessories".
I live in Sacramento, CA. How does that price sound?

Its a solid deal @3191 below Invoice price . You have several negotiating tactic's to ensure you make the best possible deal. Last 2 days , last day of Dec, is when you have every dealers FULL attention.

    Here is my advice @tophuu

Call Internet mgr speak only to him / her.

1- Tell MGR. you buy vehicle today for $28,608 if they throw in accessories at that price. Your willing to finance vehicle if it helps dealer get you to $28,608 + taxes / fees.

2- You will buy same vehicle with no accessories added TODAY or the day your calling

3- If this is your best deal $28,608 plus dealer installed accessories and the 1st two tactic's fail I would then tell selling dealer you buy said vehicle if all added accessories are added into the vehicle price at the dealers invoice price. This one is a last resort tactic you do at the very end of this month.

4- Now that you have a $28,608 price I would call & email as many dealerships your willing to travel to w/your model. Ask each dealer to beat above price providing there vehicle has no added dealer accessories.

They might offer additional cash to dealers. Some dealerships might then "share" that cash/savings with consumers.

I went in today to turn in my lease and purchase the car (verified that stock number was still available last night) and made appointment. My salesman was off yesterday but verified with the internet manager. When I got there, he looked it up and told me it was sold. All they had was a silver demo Accord EX-L. Then he said he couldn't honor the price because they had used up all the flex cash. Does that sound right? So I am trying to hunt another one down.

Received an internet price on a 2019 Accord 2.0 sport in Massachusetts for $400 below invoice of $27987
    $398 document fee
    $175 fee for registration
    $1749 tax
    OTD price
    $30310
Brian stated this was the way to go in an earlier post of mine versus the 2018, just wanted to post and see if there's anything I should be on the look out for. * Confirmed there is no destination fee also. Planning on locking it up tomorrow

Looks like a nice deal @400 below invoice.  w/ doc fee about invoice price.  Make sure dest charge is included. You have a nice deal on the table. Ask dealer for a few oil changes and pick a accessory to throw into deal for the sale today/ tomm

On December 28 and 29, I got a quote 22.3k for 2018 Honda Accord LX in NY/NJ I have college grad and military incentives ($1,000) I had planned to buy in cash but two of the dealerships said I can only utilize those incentives when I finance with Honda Financing Service. Is it true? Does it look like solid deals? If yes, then I would go pick up a car tomorrow. Thank you in advance.

I'm looking into getting a 2018 accord hybrid touring and this is what the dealer quoted me in Houston, TX:

    Internet Price: 30,080
Price with their "forced" accessories: 31,672
    Dest: 895
    Salestax: 2035.44
    InvTax: 71.91
    Title: 33
    Inspec: 23.75
    Licen: 133.50
    Doc: 189
    Out the door Price: $35,063.60

It seems kind of high considering it's pretty much end of the year and 2019 is a few weeks away. What do you guys think?

    $31672+$895+$189 = $32756

    That's the real price.
    What is the MSRP?
I have been stocking the 2018 Accord Hybrid for the past 3 months, figuring it would get cheaper by year's end. Exact opposite, the dealers aren't budging much. Cheapest I've seen is 29.3 for an EXL. No incentives.

Yes, the sales manager was a real jerk. Asked me why I didn't buy it the first time I came in instead of taking responsibility for selling it after I had provided license and insurance information and been approved for financing. FYI - it was already dark outside. They are a huge dealership in the Northeast so don't think it was a big deal to them to lose my sale.

Anyway, I did purchase yesterday at Colonial Honda, Dartmouth, MA for same price (after they quoted me 2,300 more) Told them my number of 24,556 (price at the other dealership - and it was a done deal). 2018 White Accord EX-L. Only difference was a black interior instead of ivory (which I really wanted).

    Invoice price: $28,306
Amount below invoice (before incentives): $2,200
Amount below invoice (after flex cash and loyalty cash): $3,750
Amount below invoice (after incentives and doc fees):$3,291

Thanks to all for your advice and help.

so far the best i can manage is $27000k +tag OTD on a 2018 EX. Think its worth biting on?

    On a 2019 they're offering it at $27300k +tag.

This is on a cash buy.

I didn't see anything for 2019 models, but I did sort through a few pages. Just wanted to say I just closed on an EX-L for 26,645 , had to buy the VIN etching for 229 and finance through Honda. They tried to push me to a 2018 , but glad I got it all worked out for a 2019. This is in WI.

I closed on a deal for 2019 Accord EX for OTD 28800. Car itself is 25000 and destination charge was included in a built-in package with add-ons (mud guard, pin stripes, wheel locks, nitrogen filled tires etc.) that cost $999. So with it $26000 before tax. Tax is a whopping 9.2% sadly. I think I did okay? I was aggressive in the negotiation but thought the deal was good enough to close. This is a cash buy.

looking to get a 2018 1.5 touring, what price should i be shooting for out the door considering all rebates/incentives? located in northern california (sacramento). Ive started to get in contact with some local dealerships

i was quoted an "internet price" of $27,499 for a 2018 1.5 touring

upon further communication, it seems that price is including some incentives, heres the exact text i received

"okay so to clarify, part of the incentive is subtracted from the price the other comes in the form of down payment so in your contract the price of the car is $29,499 but if your put zero down yourself it will show $2000 down from honda. Based on sales tax etc etc youre looking at $31,220 out the door etc etc etc "

I have requested multiple quotes from dealers in the Northern VA/MD area on a 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T, and the lowest that anyone has gone has been $2,000 below invoice (~$22,300 including destination) plus a 2-year maintenance package. I see from previous posts that 2018 Accords should be going for around $3,000 below invoice. Other dealers seem to be hovering around $1,000-1,500 below invoice. Anyone have any thoughts on if the one offer above is acceptable or should I be able to do better? I realize it's the new year and beginning of the month, so maybe dealers are still evaluating their strategy for January.

    Thanks!

Check out Folsom Lake Honda. I went in there the day after Christmas with my quote from Elk Grove Honda (about 27986) and they were pricing it very aggressively, and lowered to 27000 with protection package (mudguard, edge guards, etc) thrown in before I panicked and left because I wasn't ready to purchase yet lol.

You are not going to get $3k below invoice before incentives on this model. You might be better off looking at a 2019 model. Good luck.

As the 2018 Accord dealer stock dwindles, Dealers will hold firm on there pricing.  Don’t be the sucker buyer.
2018 target price 3k below invoice or better
2019 target price. Invoice to 1k below invoice

I agreed to a price with a dealer today on the 2018 accord ex-l
Put a down payment on my cc, I plan on going in tomorrow to get it it
They told me I need to finance some of the purchase to get 1500 flex cash
I intend on paying that off in a few months if the finance guy doesn't play a lot of games so he can get his commision and this week if he plays games.

1)is it true i really need to finance to get the flex cash? it's really just an annoying waste of time so i'd prefer not to

2)does honda finance charge any fees to finance besides interest?
