I'm just a couple dollars off of that quote.

Decent deal on a below average lease program.

Hello, I'm looking for MF/RV, rebates and incentives on the following trims for a 36/12
    Zipcode : 77493

    BMW X3 xDrive30i
    MW X3M40I

also saw in one of your notes above that max 7 MSDs are allowed. What is the value of each deposit typically in dollars ? Just trying to see how much deposit it will mean for 7 MSDs

    thank you

    .00188 and 58%
    No lease incentives

The MSD deposit is the monthly payment, rounded up to the next highest $50.

Each SD reduces the MF by .00005 (.00035 total reduction)
Hi, I visited a dealership today and they told me that over and above the selling price, there would be following charges.

    Doc Fees : 157.25
    Title / License / Inventory tax : 500
    Destination + Handling : 995
    Acquisition Cost : 950

Are these all legitimate charges or Dealer is trying to make money here. Could be great for your inputs on where there is mark up and i can bring those for discussion with dealer to drop / negotiate . Appreciate your guidance

    regards

The acquisition fee is $925 for BMW, and cannot be marked up.

The destination fee is part of the MSRP; if the dealer is breaking that out, that is disingenuous.

Nothing about sales tax? In Texas, the entire selling price is subject to tax.

My local bmw dealership is trying to push me towards one of their “program” vehicles. Which they claim is the best deal and are either loaner cars or cars used by the executive staff as personal vehicles. These vary in mileage but typically have a few thousand miles or less on them.

What is the thought process on these? If leased, do they have the same MF and residual? Im in Houston, TX. Thanks!

If the vehicle has less than 5000 miles, they have a residual adjustment of $0.25/mi. for the existing mileage. Otherwise, they use the new car lease program. Over 5000 miles, and the math gets worse.

Generally, you can make a better lease deal on a service loaner. We've leased one, and my wife currently owns a 2017 model that we bought with 4400 miles.

Thanks for the feedback! So for example, if the vehicle had 1000 miles on it they would discount the residual value by $250 (1000*.25/mile)? I.E. 58% residual - $250.

Not sure if I understand that part exactly.

Yes.. .the residual will be lower. All by itself, that would be a negative for you. But, a loaner should come with an extra big discount, that would more than make up for the lower residual.

Do you live in Chicago? If so, the taxes are gonna hurt.

State and city tax, adding up to around 17%, on a lease.

And, no way would I start a lease with $5000 out of pocket. That money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

    Hi Michaell,

Thank you for the quick reply.

I live in the suburb of Chicago.  The total tax on the lease attached lease worksheet is $1757, which is 8.5% of $20637 ( MSRP $50335 - Residual Value $29698).

As the down payment, is that protected by my full coverage auto insurance policy?  If not, should I go with the $2000 down to be safe?

$1500 rebate is all the rebate available for zip code 60091?

Does the total $1146 taxable fees seem reasonable?

Is $2000 down with $623 per month a good deal for 36m/10k lease?

    Thanks again!

Insurance will not make you whole for any up front cash; just the remaining lease obligation.

We recommend just the first payment and any government fees (registration, etc) be paid at signing.

Would need a breakdown of the taxable fees to know if they are reasonable or not.

$1500 is likely the loyalty incentive on the X3.

Can anyone clarify the current loyalty credit for zip 98008? I'm a little confused by the $1500 mentioned above as the lease offers on the BMW site only mention a $1000 loyalty/conquest credit. I will be attempting to negotiate a deal on an X3 M40i later this month so I want to go in as armed as possible. No doubt the dealer would love to pretend a $1500 credit is actually just $1000 :-)

As for qualifications, I assume any BMW owner would qualify? I'm returning an X5 off lease for example.

I think you would qualify, as a current lessee

Can anyone clarify the current loyalty credit for zip 98008? I'm a little confused by the $1500 mentioned above as the lease offers on the BMW site only mention a $1000 loyalty/conquest credit. I will be attempting to negotiate a deal on an X3 M40i later this month so I want to go in as armed as possible. No doubt the dealer would love to pretend a $1500 credit is actually just $1000 :-)

As for qualifications, I assume any BMW owner would qualify? I'm returning an X5 off lease for example.

    I see $1500 loyalty on the 2019 X3.

I think you would qualify, as a current lessee
Thank you Michaell. I wonder why BMW is not advertising that as part of their online specials? Anyway, glad to hear it really is $1500. That will certainly help!

    Hey folks,

I came across a 2019 X3 M40i on BMW's preowned site cpo.bmwusa.com. The vehicle has only about 3k miles on it and as per the dealership, I was told as long as it has less than 5k miles on it they can still lease it. The car was one of their demo/test drive cars.

Does anyone have any experience leasing a pre-owned car? If so, I'd love to hear about your experience negotiating and any advise that can be provided.

Do these pre-owned leases run the same lease programs as brand new cars?

I was given a money factor of .00218 and residual value 57%. Are these amounts correct? What is the current MF now in Feb 2019 for zipcode 10601?

Also, I see that BMWUSA is currently offering $500 Lease Credit, $1,000 Loyalty/ Conquest Certificate. Are there any other rebates/incentives that could be used? I came across the xdrive winter experience https://www.bmwramsey.com/bmw-winter...experience.htm. Has anyone taken advantage of this so far?

I'm just trying to determine if its worth it to lease the certified preowned 3k mile X3 vs a brand new one. I appreciate anyone's help, feedback, and suggestions.

Demo/loaners can make great lease deals, as long as they are discounted appropriately.
    36/12
    .00188 MF and 58% residual
(further residual reduction of $0.25/mile for existing mileage)
    $1500 loyalty
I don't show the $500 lease credit for your ZIP, but that doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't exist.

Depending on the MSRP, 57% could be close to the final residual, once the mileage is deducted.
The money factor is marked up from .00188.

The MSRP is 63,820 and purchase price is 55,520. Based on their ad they state $2995.00 Down. 36 Months. See Client Advisor for details. PAYMENTS INCLUDE OWNER LOYALTY REBATE. The same add also says lease for $579 then further down the add it also says lease for $399. However, when I contacted the dealer they quoted me $791. I'm not sure why the payments are all over the place?
