Thanks again. Currently looking at three M40i options (lease, 36k/12k).

    1) A loaner with 3800 miles, MSRP $64,620.
    2) A new on-lot, MSRP $67,270
    3) A build, MSRP $67,270 (different interior to the above)

Sounds like a .00188 MF and 58% residual with $500 lease credit and $1500 loyalty for options 2 and 3.

    Q. Assuming MF stays the same, what would the residual be on the loaner (1 above)?
    Q. Sounds like should be looking for 7-10% discount on options 2 an 3. What would be a great offer on the loader (1)? 15%?
    Q. This would be my first lease. I'm told lease insurance for dings, chips, etc is worthwhile. Any thoughts?

Many thanks for the help here - this forum has been a tremendous resource.

Same numbers for option 1), other than a residual reduction of $950, to account for the mileage.

    12%-15% off on the loaner.

Insurance plans are a good deal.. for the dealer and insurance company. Not so much for you.

Any incentives? Lease credit or loyalty?
Do you have the adjusted CAP cost?

By lease credit do you mean they offer to buy out my remaining lease payments? I am not currently leasing a BMW so there's no loyalty. I assumed incentives were factored into the sale price and from scrolling through this thread it was $500 which isn't crazy. I'm not sure what the adjusted cap cost is or why i would look for it. They did have me paying $730 cap reduction as part of the drive off fees.

Here is where I am with my dealership (my offer to them):

    DUGE1CWS build for a 2019 BMW M40i.
    $67270.00 MRSP, 7% discount, $62561.10 sales price.
    $2000 rebates. Gov ($170), Doc ($150), Acq. ($925).
Trade in $28000 (2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willy's Edition). Keep until build arrives.
    Terms: Lease, 36mo/12k p.a. MF: .00188. 58% residual (they move to .00188 from .00228).

I think it's a reasonable deal. I'm hopeful they'll take it but I'm walking away otherwise. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

No, lease credit is an incentive that is used like a down payment.

You own the Jeep outright, or is there a loan balance on it?

How much up front are you willing to pay?

$10k loan balance on it. So with the trade in, I'm hoping to put $18k down. Could put more down if needed.

Should also mention I'm in WA, which seems to not bode well for ~10% off MSRP. Working with three dealerships, it's like pulling teeth to get anything over 5%.

I would strongly recommend against using trade equity as cap reduction:

    1. You're just masking the true cost of the lease
    2. You'll lose that up front money if the X3 is stolen or totaled during the lease

Pay the first payment and registration costs with the equity, then have the dealer cut you a check for the balance.

Can you let me know if this looks like a good deal?

Is it a service loaner with mileage?
    Why is there no tax?

Yes it says loaner but I see only 6 miles. not sure if it's a loaner.I will have to check on tax. believe its not included in monthly payment. I am in NJ
The residual would be 59% if it had under 300 miles.
I'll guess it has around 3000 miles
Yes its 59% at 10k miles. the dealer site shows 6 miles on the car..

    is this good deal ?
Your first post states the residual is 57.5%?
my bad. must have changed when i updated miles from 10 to 12k on lease calculator. it has about 3-3.5k miles on it.

    Monthly : 439
    Drive off : 3224
    MSD refund : 3150
So, the tax is in the $3224?
    Yes $1157 NJ tax.
The calculations are correct. Looks like a good deal
    My bad. Residual is 57.5%.
The residual is always a whole number, unless it has been adjusted for demo or loaner miles.
    it's loaner.
And how many miles are on it?

    around 3.5k miles.

PANORAMA ROOF, NAVIGATION, CLEAN CARFAX, PREMIUM PACKAGE, HEATED SEATS, SATELLITE RADIO, xDRIVE, LED LIGHTING PACKAGE, PARK DISTANCE CONTROL, BLUETOOTH, and REAR VIEW CAMERA.

    $46,595 selling price

Deal I was told is $559 a month for 36 months and 10k. With first month/ dmv and $925 bank fee.

Just trying to see if this is a good deal

    What is the MSRP?

Is it a service loaner with mileage?

Looking to know the best end of month discount off of MSRP as well as money factor for a x4 30i (36 month lease). Their first offer was 4.5% off of MSRP, $3000 in rebates and a 0.00208 money factor.

I'm thinking that they can improve on the MSRP discount as well as the money factor. Thoughts?

You have to have the original MSRP, or there is no way to tell if it's a good deal.

    $500 incentive

I get $649/mo with those prices. Even if I bump the MF to .00228 (max allowed), I still only get $677/mo.

Confirm the adjusted cap cost the dealer used for their payment quote.

    sale price 45,200

incentives given: $500 dealer cash, $1000 conquest and $1700 corporate discount.

They're giving you effectively 8% off MSRP before incentives if full sticker is $52,795 to sale of $45,200. Seems kinda meh unless this is a 24 months 12k deal or something similar.

Does BMWFS offer lease mileage above 15K? Salesperson told me there are higher limits available, but I'm not sure I believe him. Do they offer 16.5, 18 & 19.5k like Ford?

You can go as high as you want, as long as it's under 100K total miles.

But, it's not a set percentage. Over 15K/yr, they deduct $0.20/mile from the residual (I think... either $0.20 or $0.25). So a 36/18 lease would have a 9000 mile residual reduction.

Then subtract 6000 miles at $0.20 or $0.25 per mile from the residual
