For 2017 model pricing, at this point would it be better to wait till the 2018 Accord is released (mid July) ?
The 2018 model will be announced next month but we do not yet know when it will be officially released and available on dealer lots. I am guessing some time in the fall (that's when Honda normally releases new models).
My advice will be if you really want to buy a 2017 model, you could start reaching out to dealers at the end of this month or at the end of next month (so that you can have your pick of color combo, etc..). However, if you are in no rush to buy then wait till the 2018 models are actually on dealer lots. Then, you should be able to get great deals on 2017 models. Just remember that, the longer you wait the fewer options for color combination and trim level you will have.

I've now tried 9 dealerships and can't get a cent below $26,500 before tax, tag, title and fees. Two of the dealerships won't even "haggle". Everybody pays the same price and they have almost a thousand positive reviews online. I think I'm going to just get the color I want and move on with my life. If I'm getting ripped off I'll have to live with it.
Who paid 27k OTD for a V6? The only info I am seeing on this forum is from "dfr2011" who stated they paid $27,500 OTD for an EX-L with navi and sensing (probably a 4 cylinder) after $1000 in incentives ($500 college and $500 flex cash). So pre-rebate, their OTD was $28,500.
Are you looking to buy a 4 cylinder or a V6? What state are you located in? Have you tried some of the tactics suggested in this forum? Maybe pricing in your area might not be best. Have you tried expanding your search area further or tried reaching out to out of state dealers? If you feel you are getting ripped off, then I would not suggest buying a car right now (unless you really need one).
My $0.02.

Hence, the more below invoice you are the better. Also find out what dealer doc fees are. Some states such as FL charge very high doc fees. If you plan to finance through Honda, find out whether these dealers have flex cash ($500 towards your down payment). Not all dealers will have it and it does run out.
Hope this info helps and good luck.

dkg11 got the v6 for 27037 out the door in Maryland. It's a V6 EX-L not a 4cyl EX-L. You read that correctly
You are correct. I had to scroll up to see his post. It looks like MD are where the deals are. After looking at his numbers, he scored the $500 flex cash and received a $350 dealer credit which helped lower his OTD price.
Too bad dealers in MA are not looking to deal.

All - sorry, been on vacation hadn't been checking this site. If you want contact information for dealership and my specific salesperson, shoot me a message. Mike was very good to deal with and low pressure which made sale process great. I just wanted to confirm with him that I was ok giving out his cell phone number.
And yes, I can confirm that pricing was indeed for V6.

I had good luck with Colonial Honda Dartmouth MA last year. I bought a 2016 EXL V6 25,300 + 350 Doc. Pretty sure they have flex cash on accords per a marketing email I received. Good Luck.
I asked the salesman before I drove off in my new car how much the "end of the month" played into the deal. He said that if they had met their numbers for the month it wouldn't matter, but in this dealer's case they hadn't. So they were more willing to bargain. I was working with four dealers via email, none of the others would budge below $27,500 for a sale price. Perhaps they met their "numbers" for the month? Just a guess.
As dkg11 suggested, I held my ground in the finance room and said NO to all add ons. The marketing push I received was polished and well-presented. Almost making me feel like I was making a mistake by saying "NO".
Thanks to dkg11 for posting a baseline bargain to go after. And to brian125 for sound advice on this forum.
Amazing job on the prices paid, dealers in California are not going beyond 5200 off msrp then add flex cash about 5700.00.. Not sure if anyone knows any good dealers in California that would be great.
In the lease forums they talk about 1,000 lease cash and 1,000 dealer credit anyone having success on purchase getting part of the dealer credit?
Hello everyone, I am looking to buy a new 2017 Accord EX Sedan with sensing in the Southern California area and hoping to get some advice on OTD price.
Well, I've emailed a few dealers here in Maryland for some prices on a Sport Se with the 6mt and no replies. It's been two days. Dealers I hit up about 2 months ago actually. I guess they don't feel like there is any incentive to move them. They've been on the lot for months now. Not new inventory. Oh well! I'll just wait.
A good solid Target price range to negotiate is $2400 to 3k below Invoice price after taking into consideration the $599 to 899 doc fee charge . Dmv fees, and your state taxes will round out your OTD number
Thanks for checking Michaell. It's nice to know the math checks out. However what I'd really like to know is how does it compare against recent Accord leases.
I should mention that I live in Southern California.

I don't track selling prices, so can't help you there.
If you're comfortable with the price you've negotiated, then all is good.
People have reported getting the Hybrid Touring for $28,500-29,500 and Hybrid EX-L for $26-27k (not including TTL) since the end of last year.
I've only spoken about pricing so far with the dealer I test drove this car at. When I mentioned this pricing they basically told me to take a hike because they'd be losing money at $6-7k off msrp. Are dealers taking a loss to get some cars off their lots, I'm in Chicago, maybe I will end up shopping outside the state.
I'm looking to purchase 2017 Honda Accord EX-L Sedan and reached out to couple of dealers in Saint Louis.
One of the dealer offered me the following price(Best out of all). MSRP : $29,795 OTD: $24180 (This Price included Doc Fee 199$, Car Fee, Accessories $795) excludes the Tax.
All I need to pay the Tax for the above price($24180).
They are offering 0.9% for 60 Months if I can purchase the vehicle by EOD today i.e. 07/05/2017.
Is this a good price to buy today or should I wait for the 2018 Model.
Please let me and appreciate if you can reply ASAP.

Any way I can get contact info. for your Dealer? I am looking to purchase a v6 Sedan, but the Dealers here in NJ aren't even close to that price and would be willing to travel to MD if your Salesperson would like another sale. I sent a PM with my contact info.
Hi! I was looking to lease an Accord EX but now trying to compare it to buying it. My son will be the owner. He's a current college graduate and purportedly the grad money is figured in. Please let me know if this sounds reasonable. I live in NYS. total price for car 27365 destination included. Breaks down as follows with my current deal: 23258 + 2035.07 tax + 97.50 dealer fees = 25390.57. What do you think? There are four dealership within thirty miles and I'm emailing them all. He's not sure what he will put down, but I'm interested in whether the 23,258 sounds like the best I can do with the college grad credit. Thanks!
Hondalady12345, I was quoted 24,329.79 from Pohanka honda in Fredericksburg,Virginia. About a 1k less. And I did not qualify for the 500.00 college rebate or military one either. That was about 2 months ago too. Someone bought an EX-L V6 Sedan in Maryland this past month for 27,073.00 out the door. Which is close to 4.5k more msrp. It will all be based on inventory in your area. But, you should be able to get them down much more. And is there any extras added on to the vehicle(pinstriping, mud guards and etc)?

EX Invoice w/destination = ..........$ 25,239. your quote is $1481 below invoice excluding rebates .
If you negotiate at the very end of the month ..getting another $300 / 500 should be be do-able. If dealers in your area are limited then make your best deal at the end of the month .. Good luck
are there dealer rebates on the accord ex? And is $1481 below actual invoice a good price?
Depending on your area in NY you may be close to a top price. Where are you buying in NY??..
NY pricing on Accords are ranging from $1600/1700 below invoice to $2300 below invoice . No other rebates listed outside of college/ military and special finance
Any advise is greatly appreciated! I have a quote for $24,731.69 out the door on an accord ex sedan automatic. This included $2,004.19. So before county taxes, the car is $22,727.50 including plates, dealer fees and $500 off for recent college grad. Does anyone know the actual invoice the dealer pays for this car and any hold backs or rebates for the dealer? Thank you in advance.
Thanks Brian12345! I live in the Buffalo area. I was told by my best dealing honda dealership that MSRP is $27505 for the EX automatic sedan with destination fees. They said their invoice price was $25,239, which includes destination. I also think you confirmed this figure. So getting the car for $22,727.60 (which includes dealer fees $75, title and registration $225, inspection fee $10 and NYS tire fee $12.50) and additionally my son's college graduation credit is deducted and included. If I am doing the math correctly, I am getting the car for $22,717.50, which is $2521.40 less than dealer invoice? I have to add lovely county taxes on it at a cost of $2004.19. OTD price is $24,731.69 for everything. I'm hoping I'm figuring this out correctly and I hope I'm getting as good of a deal as I think I am.

Does anyone know the actual invoice the dealer pays for this car and any hold backs or rebates for the dealer? Thank you in advance.
Where in NY are you looking to purchase . I'll break down your deal and #'s when I get home
Buffalo is a tough area with Accord pricing and limited dealers. Unless your willing to travel further for a better deal make your best deal at the very end of the month. Getting another $300 to $500 off is a very good deal for your area granted you want to negotiate price further. I would if you could wait another 3 weeks to buy.
Dealer hold -backs on all Hondas are 2% of the base MSRP. Your base EX model is $24,364. or about $487.00 ( dealer -hold back )
If you don't mind driving to Rochester to buy vehicle . A $300/400 dollar savings might not be worth the time and travel, but $800 / 1000 might be worth it. All it takes are a few emails to inquire if dealers will accept your offer to buy. I would email my below dealers and ask thru there website or call the Internet manager directly ( which I recommended to do ) offer all the sale that day for $800 below your best deal today or ( end of the month ) Tell all contacted dealers you will hold with a credit card deposit if they agree on your price to buy. This could be a option if pricing stays the same in your area.
IM me for further tips and buying advice / instructions if you want to go this route . I will walk you thru the details of the process and a email to send out to dealers .
Rochester dealers ........Ontario, Garber, and Ide Honda are the best dealers to target

@hondalady12345 Just an fyi; Dealer hold back and dealer rebates do not normally translate to savings to the buyer, since that money is for dealers to do as they please with it.
As brian125 has mentioned, knowing the invoice price of the car (not necessarily what the dealer actually paid, since we may never know) and figuring out pricing in your area is a start.
Buying at the end of the month and expanding your search to other dealers will help get you the best deal.
Btw, if you plan to finance through Honda, find out what dealers have flex cash. It is a $500 incentive provided by Honda towards your down payment. Not all dealers will have it and it does run out.

Good Morning and thank you both for your help! I have the quote written up and it is as follows:
Price for the EX sedan = $22,905 Dealer processing fee +75.00 Title and Registration fees +225 Inspection fee +10 NYS tire fee +12.50 - 322.50 costs in addition to price
Cost of car now: $23,227.50
Minus college grad money -500
New cost: $22,727.50
NYS taxes: 2004.19
OTD price: $24,731.69
I would most definitely appreciate input on this, as I think I'm pulling the trigger today. They have the only white one in the area. Most importantly, I would love to feel I did a good job dealing. I did email all four dealerships in the Buffalo area, but did not branch out to Rochester. I leased a 2017 Accord EX from the same dealership on black friday and got it for 35 payments of $259 OTD with no additional costs. They would love to keep my business.
hey guys, I'm interested in buying a 2017 honda accord ex -L with V6 coupe . I live in Maryland. What you think is the best price I can get for the vehicle OTTD. So far , I have gotten a quote for $29,354.80 OTTD for the model. base price is $26,631, additional fees include 299 processing fee, 279 md tag and title and 6 percent sales tax.
Thanks for the congrats! It's the second 2017 EX in the family now. This one is my sons. Look above and the exact figures I paid in Western NY are listed. Good luck to others looking!

I did see the numbers. Did the finance office try to up sell you any extended warranties? Were you able to obtain flex cash for this transaction?
These questions are to help others negotiate a good deal
2021 Audi A6 P+2018 Audi A4 P+ (lease returned)2013 Honda Accord EX-L (Sold)
I didn't even know that flex cash was available? I just negotiated the best price I could including my son's college graduation. In regards to extended warranties, of course they tried but I told them not to waste my time as I've been driving Honda/Acura vehicles since 1990 and know I didn't need any extras. Hope this answers your question.
Looking at the '17 Accord 6cyl Touring in NJ. What are people negotiating for the selling price? Between my home and office I have 15+ Honda dealers, is worth holding out till the 26th?

My advice will be if you really want to buy a 2017 model, you could start reaching out to dealers at the end of this month or at the end of next month (so that you can have your pick of color combo, etc..). However, if you are in no rush to buy then wait till the 2018 models are actually on dealer lots. Then, you should be able to get great deals on 2017 models. Just remember that, the longer you wait the fewer options for color combination and trim level you will have.

Thanks again!
Is there any additional information you may want to share that might be helpful to anyone looking to purchase the same car?
