Can someone tell me if this is a good deal? They are down to $288 total including taxes, $0 down. One thing I am confused about it why the 1st month's payment is added onto the sales price of the car as a "capitalized initial fee" This is in Southern California
What is the MSRP?
24620
The first payment is capitalized, because you aren't paying it upfront. If the MSRP is $24,620, that means you are paying full MSRP, plus $497 for optional items? That can't be a good deal. You should negotiate a discount from the dealer, in addition to the rebate. Also, whatever the $497 is for, ditch that.
If it's gone from $312/mo. to $288/mo, it looks like they've discounted the car somewhat, but probably not enough. Get a new disclosure that results in the new payment.
Ok, will do. The 497 is lojack, which I think is important, no? Maybe that's not MSRP, this dealership claims to give you their "already discounted selling price" for the car to "save everyone time". Will go back and ask for the actual MSRP and a new disclosure.
That makes sense... .or, they could just tell you the selling price.. The MSRP is $24,620, that much is clear. If you can tell me why you think LoJack is important, I can tell you why you are wrong.. lol
Oh! Is LoJack not worth it? Just seemed like a safe/ thing to have. Losing that would get me to a great payment I think.
So strange that he won't just tell me the selling price....I don't get it!

Under what scenario will LoJack make a difference?
Can I please have the MF, residual, and lease cash for both hatch and sedan on a Mazda 3 Touring in New Jersey? I am looking for a 36 month lease with 12k miles per year.

Hi! I'm looking for MF, residual, and lease cash on a Mazda 3 Grand Touring in the SF Bay Area - 36 months lease with 12K miles per year. Interested in both the Sedan and Hatch.
Two other quick questions:
(1) Do you have numbers for November yet - if so, that would be great as well...
(2) I'm turning in an end-lease vehicle with very low miles on the car (don't drive so much). Some dealers seem to want to do a trade in as part of the deal (vs. just letting me dispose of the vehicle). If they are looking to buy out the car, they must be making money, I'd guess. If they want to do this, should it be factored into the negotiations for the new lease? I'd prefer to avoid this/just turn in the old vehicle because a trade in feels complicated...but I wanted to understand how they are thinking about this.

Automatic or stick shift?
No November numbers yet.
Find out the buy out price and trade in value of your current car; that way, you'll know how best to address it as part of the deal. There is a 'Real World Trade in Values" thread here where we can give you an evaluation of trade value. The more knowledge you have, the better position you are in to negotiate.
First, I wanted to thank you for the help you provide. Thanks!
Second, could you share the MF, residual, and lease cash for a 2018 Mazda 3 Touring hatchback with a stick at 36/15k mi (or 39 if that's better)? I'm in northern NJ.
