Seems reasonable, your thoughts?
With the numbers provided, I get $227/mo.
For $284/mo, the CAP cost would have to be just under $24K.
You should have the dealer provide a breakdown of what's been added to the selling price to get to that number.

Ok, I see what you're saying. If I include the Fees + Taxes, that brings the CAP to ~23940. The 284 I mentioned earlier is with Fees + Taxes rolled into the monthly payment.

Then the $284/mo payment is correct, with that CAP cost.

On your top quote, I get $344/mo, assuming the $2500 exactly covers your upfront charges It probably doesn't, or it wouldn't be a round number. But, it's probably close, considering taxes, DMV, acquisition fee and first payment.
That's a decent deal. Big incentives, high residual, but also high money factor. Have you shopped around?

I did shop around but honestly, I was not aware of not putting money down on a lease vs putting a multiple security deposits down to reduce the MF. Also, each Volkswagen dealer here in the Chicagoland area have been all over the place. Ones in Countryside and Downersgrove were not easy to work with. We are actually headed into another dealership this morning. According to the GM of this dealership, "And we don’t add any non-sense fees or other stuff some dealers do. Any payment my store quotes includes all sales tax and fees associated with titling/licensing." But that could have been covered by the $2500 down right?

Congrats!
One mistake I did make was not trying to negotiate the VW maintenance package into the deal. Not sure if others have been successful in doing that cause VW requires three services during the three year lease.
Alright signed the deal. Tiguan se with sunroof. Msrp is 30150. We added engine start from vw for 800 so total msrp was 30950. So total price of car we are paying is 27595 out the door. 36/10 at 335 per month. Paying taxes and acquisition fee upfront. I tried as hard as I could to get below 27k and no dealer around me would go. Numbers based off 60 % residual and .0017 mf. Gurus how did I do? I always like to learn if I had more wiggle room
Kyfdx, I still haven’t decided if I should pay acquisition up front. My zip is 11596 ny. I believe you said in another thread to pay taxes upfront but roll in acquisition fee. What’s the reason?

In NY, if you roll the taxes in, they are taxed again - ouch.
Roll in the acquisition fee, since it's taxable already. And, if the car is stolen or totaled, you won't get that money back if paid up front.

Hi, we just leased a Tiguan SEL w third row and 4motion, total price was $28,646. Monthly lease of $399, no money down in Chicago, IL. Hope that helps. MSRP was $34,435. We did get talked into the VW Maintenece package for another $19 a month because I'm a bit freaked out returning the car without all the necessary service.
My msrp is 30600. Invoice is listed as 29211. Volkswagen holdback is listed as 2% of msrp so that’s is 612 off. So that is now at 28599. According to michael dealer cash is 1650 so that brings car to 26949. I paid 27595 which gives me a dealer net profit of 646 dollars which to me seems good. I got 60 percent residual and base mf. Not sure if there was any more wiggle room but I double checked every number to ensure my lease calculations were right. Finance dept was pissed bc I wouldn’t just sign wo checking and they tried throwing a few hundred in there so be careful. Hope my numbers are right in regards to dealer profit

For $284/mo, the CAP cost would have to be just under $24K.
You should have the dealer provide a breakdown of what's been added to the selling price to get to that number.
