    Thanks Mike, not sure about CAP costs but they are giving me a $3000 discount on vehicle for loyalty and all. What are your thoughts on "deal"?

    The selling price is the one you negotiate - target 7% off MSRP

    The CAP cost is the selling price plus any taxes or fees you are not paying up front.

    We would suggest you pay only the first payment and registration costs when you sign the contract.

    Thanks, Michael. Given only 3 days before Nov, I am curious how these numbers will change. Sales guy suggested rate lock application. Do you agree?

    It won't hurt to lock your rate, if that doesn't commit you.

    But, once you lock that rate with that dealer, you won't be able to use the rate lock at another dealer. You'll have to go with whatever rates are available, next month, if you choose another dealer.

    That's been the money factor for the last four months. Down is not a direction that it's headed, in the last five years.

    It is not negotiable (but, the dealer can mark it up!)

    The high residual was used as an incentive on the 2018 model.

    Residuals don't have to be rooted in reality.

    We have been getting conflicting information about MSDs - we believe they have been reinstated nationally. Max 7 with a deduction of .00005 off the base MF for each.

    Hi Michael/Kyfdx - Thanks again for all your help. I took delivery yesterday of 2019 X4 I ordered in Nov per locked in MF/RV rates. 9% discount from MSRP, loyalty discount, and my 7 existing MSDs rolled over to the new lease. Sales guy also confirmed MSD program is available again nationwide not just for existing MSD holders but also new customers. Cheers and till 2022 then!

    We, too, have heard that MSDs are back, nationally. Just that the discount per SD is .00005 instead of .00007
