I've been offered the following deal on a Q5 Premium Plus with Tech in 48331.
MSRP 51,235 Invoice 47,935 Less 1,500 dealer cash 46,435 Total cap cost would be 45,685.00 No money down 52% residual MF of .00136
36mth at 15k a year Monthly payment of 627.33 plus tax
Does this seem like a decent deal?
I get $587/mo plus tax with those numbers.
There may be more room to move on the selling price, as it's a leftover 2018.
I ran the Edmunds lease calculator and got $696 after 6% tax. This is for a loan amount of $46,678 with a residual value of $26,642. What am I doing to get a different number than you?

I used $45,685 as my cap cost, as your first post suggests. Why are you using $46,678?
In the Edmunds calculator, I put $45,685 in the cap cost box. When I hit calculate, it spits out $696 with a $46,678 loan amount. I have attached a photo.

Hi there, can you please provide MF, residual, & incentives for Q5 Premium Plus 36/7.5k and 39/7.5k miles per year for 11530? Also - is there a loyalty discount on top of any rebates?

Hi, I wanted to get your opinion on a lease quote - See below.
2018 Audi Q5 Tech Premium
MSRP - $51935 Selling price - $44664 (14% off, 46164 including $1500 incentive) MF: .00136 RV: 61% ($31680.35) 24mo / 12k Acquisition fee - $895 Doc fee - $445 Gov fees (license & reg.) - $170 Upfront tax - $325 (not sure what this stands for, apparently upfront tax for cap reduction, acq. fee and doc fee) Down payment - $500 (my decision, it's clear that ideally there should be no additional down payment) ---Total upfront fees are indicated as $3000, including first month ($664), the additional $500 cash down, acq. fee and doc fees and upfront taxes. I seem to arrive at a value lower, around $2880 by making the calculations on my end Monthly payment w/ tax: $664 (Zip: 02370)
The other piece that is not clear to me seems to be the upfront tax, as I only seem to get ~$153 for upfront fees.
Sending my numbers from the Leasehackr Calculator as below.
Could you please let me know if this quote would be acceptable? Room to improve and/anything that does not look right? Let me know if I am missing any info.
Some of these questions could easily be answered by having the dealer give you a copy of the contract, or a screenshot from their computer. Here is a hint: When you add up numbers of varying amounts, it is unlikely that they'll add up to an exact round number like $3000. It's likely that the CAP reduction is more than $500, or they've added some padding to get you to a round number.
I show the $1500 as an Audi-to-dealer incentive, so it shouldn't be taxed. But, if they are showing it as CAP reduction, then it's taxable, and that might help answer your upfront tax question.
If we had all of the information, we'd know for sure. As is, it doesn't look too far off, in any case.
Is there any reason you can't do a 36 month lease? It would be an easy $80-$90 less per month.
@kyfdx Thanks a lot for your quick reply. I don't have the exact number in hand - If I would have to calculate it on my own, following Edmunds guidance:
$51,935 x 0.61 = $13,110 residual value = $31,680.35
The dealer indicated that the $1,500 incentive was counted towards CAP reduction, so I assume it's taxable - Is this up to the dealer, or it should be added as non-taxable incentive?
Thanks for the hint - I understand that the CAP reduction/money down might not be exactly $500, my concern is if I increase money down to arrive at exact $3,000, I end up with ~$10 less per month.
I better understand now why it's said 'always have no money down!' - Just seems to complicate things
24 months is both personal preference and linked to my current work status in US - Thanks for pointing that out though.
Is the total MSRP discount seems good enough for an 2018 model?

The dealer doesn't have a choice. If they applied the incentive as a CAP cost reduction, then that's what it is. You just need a full accounting of the actual numbers. As you note, there are some small variances. An itemization would clear that up.
Hi, can I get the MF, RV and incentives for a Q5 P+ Tech at 39/12 and 39/10 in 07075 ?
Also, can you explain the diff between the P+ and P+ tech models? It's confused me more than once, especially in Dec when getting an A4 and there were different RVs for regular and tech...

I think the P+ Tech comes with Nav standard, and maybe a few other options.

Thanks. I'm assuming 39/10 is 54%?
Interesting that Tech has a higher RV. Also, I've noticed non-tech models list Nav as an option, so perhaps you're right about it being standard on tech
Edit: Ya I just checked a window sticker on a tech model and you're absolutely correct, Nav is a standard option!

In fact they are adding up - taxes 1736, lease bank fees 895, doc fees 498, dmv 371, first lease pmt 500. don't have the adjusted cap cost.

$51,935 x 0.61 = $13,110 residual value = $31,680.35
$31,680.35 + $1,510 (acq./doc/gov fees) = $33,190.35 gross capitalized cost = $33,190.35
$5,771 (MSRP discount) + $1,500 (Audi incentive) + $500 (money down) = $7,771 capitalized cost reduction = $$7,771
$33,190.35 - $7,771 = $25,419.35 adjusted capitalized cost = $25,419.35
