So how do incentives work? I have had car salesman either, forget to tell me about an incentive or offer me a lower discount and then add the incentive into the discount. For example, I get quoted 10 percent off and then I remind them about the incentive. Instead of offering me 10 percent off, plus the incentive, they say the incentive is in the 10 percent discount. So in reality, I am receiving less then the initial 10 percent off. I have struggled this summer, getting a car because of all of the games and deceit.

MB incentives are to the dealer, and will be part of any price quote given to you.

Figure out what a fair price is, including the incentive, and negotiate to that target.

Join the club. I’ve had it with dealers around me. I just wish they were more transparent. One dealer lies about incentives then the other lies about MF. It’s a never ending cycle.

My zipcode is 48603. Thanks a bunch guys. I wouldn’t have been able to get the vehicles I wanted without the wonderful info I found here over the years.

Hello All - I really appreciate all of your help. Was able to secure a deal that based on my numbers is pretty good. 2019 CLS450, MSRP $85,105 - 39 month lease w/ 7500 miles - 52% residual and a .000854 MF. $0 down, $1056 per month before taxes.
