Looking for some feedback on the following numbers. I'm based out of North NJ 07430, looking at the 2020 Passport EXL AWD 36/12 DAS $0. For some reason, I'm trying to figure out why my sales taxes don't match the Dealers quote. Ideally, I would like to be in the 330 monthly payment range. For that to happen, the dealer would need to discount 15% off MSRP prior to the 1K rebate. Don't know how realistic this will be with Honda since I'm aware most don't lease pretty well.
MSRP= $39,530 RV= 65% $25,694.5 MF= .00125 Sales Price $35,600.00(including 1K Rebate) Accessories: $499.00 Government Fees: $307 Doc Fee:$ 516.00 Acquisition Fee: $595.00 Cap Taxes: $950.12 I get $849.49 Cap Cost: $38,467.11
Are you paying the fees up front, or are they being added into the selling price? That might account for the sales tax delta.
I don't see you getting to $330/mo without a substantial discount from sticker, on top of what you are already getting.
I would roll everything into the monthly payment. Dealer is discounting 7.4% off MSRP, without the 1k rebate. I will try other dealers, not in a rush I have a civic that has 4 payments left. I know Honda doesn't offer MSD's, however does MF change on a one payment lease?

Deduct .00080 for one-pay.
One pay would be .00045(1.08) vs .00125(3%). That would save an additional $1.9K, appreciate the response.

Let me ask this though are there residency restrictions? I'm not opposed to traveling for the right deal if they don't limit sales to residents of that particular region.
