I have a question on x5 40e lease special from BMW itself. It said MSRP of $63,095, with $3,500 down and with $5,500 rebate/incentive, it said $539/m for 10K/36m lease with no security deposit. RV is listed as 59% which is same as what moderator provided, but I am getting $585.3 excluding tax vs $539 from BMW website. Does this mean they are providing much better MF than 0.00136? It doesn't include acquisition fee of $925 according to the website.

No, it probably assumes a 'contribution' from the dealer (aka discount), along with the incentives.

The advertised lease assumes a dealer discount of $1860. You should be able to improve on that.

Thanks you for the confirmation. For some reason, I thought these lease special assume MSRP. Now, it is clear.

Does anyone know what the current (end of September '16) rebates, incentives, MF and residuals are for 2016 x5's? I'm looking at a '16 X5M with a sticker of $112k. Best I got on a new 2017 was 58% (10k/36m) and .00136 MF. I'm trying to get out of my '14 X5 lease early (ends in December). Many thanks!

    What state is this?

This looks like a purchase quote with a few lease numbers thrown in.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, and how they reached that number from the negotiated price.

For BMW, you want to target 7% off the sticker price, plus any available incentives.

36/10 lease numbers are .00136 and 59%. $2000 option allowance, which should be deducted after negotiating your best price.

    Rebates are $3000 lease and $1000 option for 2017 X5 40e's I believe. 2016 residuals (for 36/10) is 59% and 2017 for 36/10 is 58%.

    I'm thinking about a lease on a 2016 X5 sDrive
    Texas Owners Choice
    $58695 MSRP
    $28000 trade
    $12000 owe
$3000 at signing remainder in cash
    $1000 USAA lease cash
    $2000 BMW option
    $1000 owner loyalty

I'm getting offered $515/month for 36 months at 12000 miles per year.

    Bad, good, or on target?

Thanks Mike! I've spent a day researching and have a better understanding now. I've developed a spreadsheet that calculates the OC payments to within $5 of the one on BMWs website. I was wearing my calculator out! Ha!
Embarrassingly I let this negotiation get completely out of control. I allowed myself to get led into only negotiaing the monthly payment. Sigh. They were taking the BMW credits, discounts, and my minimal downpayment off MSRP and telling me I was getting a huge discount and a great deal. I've sent an email to the dealership requesting a discount off MSRP and that the outside discounts come from that figure.

Excellent. Remember, you control the negotiations ... and, you always have the option of walking away and starting over with a different dealer.

For BMW, shoot for 7% off sticker (or more) before applying the incentives.

    Thanks,

The money factor is marked up the maximum. That adds about $37/mo. to the payment.

$688/mo.+tax with the marked up money factor.
    $651/mo.+tax with the base MF.

CO taxes the monthly payment. Just multiply the payment by your tax rate to get the tax.

When I asked about the money factor markup, this is the response from dealer:
"The money factor is not marked up. That is the money factor for the vehicle. The 0.00136 is buy rate which is not offered to any customer so the money factor of 0.00176 is correct for the vehicle."
I am leasing for the first time and would like to know if this makes sense or is this another way to rip-off

That dealer may not offer the buy rate. Many others do. Go find one of them and make your deal.

    Hi,

I am working on a 2016 X5 40e 36/10 lease in CA and have a few questions here.

    1. I am planning to do a 1-pay lease, do you know the MF discount I am going to get? Is the 0.00136 base MF the baseline or 1-pay lease requires higher base MF?
    2. Can I combine MSDs to the above to maximize MF discount?
    3. I also have group fleet discount of 0.0002MF, again will that stack on top?
    4. Lastly, does the 1-pay lease affect the residue? And is 10k/yr lowest mileage I can go?

    Thanks in advance!

    1) At this time, I don't believe you can get a money factor discount for pre-paying the lease.
    2) You can't do MSDs if you pre-pay, but since no discount for pre-pay, then don't do it.
    3) Other members report that you can stack the fleet and MSD money factor discount.
    4) No, it doesn't, but again, I wouldn't pre-pay, because of the lack of discount. Yes, 10K/yr is the lowest.

I don't see any advantage to a one-time prepay. I stacked a corp $1000 discount and the 0.0002 Corp MF discount.

Here is the lease deal I finally took this weekend on a 2016 X5.

    Alpine White, Canberra Beige
Premium package, cold weather package, Driver Assistance package
    MSRP $62,495

This is a loaner vehicle with 7800 miles on it.
Dealer says he sold it to me for $49600 (almost 21% discount).
    +1000 for Loyalty
-500 (remaining last payment on my current lease that the dealer is going to take care of since he says there is no pull ahead program sponsored by BMW FS for this month)
    7% NJ sales tax
Money factor 0.000120 after 7 MSDs
12k/yr - so 58% RV minus however we deduct for existing mileage on the car.

Monthly payment - $549 including sales tax
    Due at Signing - $2050 ($550 1st month, $925 bank fee, $400 doc fee, $177 DMV fee).
Plus $3850 in MSDs (I rolled over $3500 from my current lease so paid additional $350 this time).

Just wanted to share with the forum.
I know that the MF is marked up from base which should be .00087 after 7 MSDs which is adding around 32/mo to the payment - so about 1k to the deal. but my dealer won't budge at all. he says he is giving too much discount off the MSRP so he needs to make money somewhere. He even let me walk out the door. Other monkey wrench that got thrown into the mix was that another couple showed up at the dealership - they even took a test drive of this car - as I was negotiating for this car. GO FIGURE !! my client adviser kept telling me that they are really interested in this car and they are going to take this car if you won't put a deposit on this car. I thought he was bluffing, but then my wife overheard that couple negotiating numbers with other salesperson over the same car !!!!

My wife really really really loves white+beige combination and this was the only 2016 I could find in the north east region remaining. So I decided to bite the bullet to keep my wife happy. Even the one I returned was also Alpine White + Venetian Beige combination. Worse, my wife kind of showed it to the dealer that she wants this car and that I can't find this combination anywhere else. so from that point, the dealer won't take a single penny off the deal. :)

Overall I am very happy with the deal - I got a monthly payment within my range; 2017 X5 payment were going into $650s/mo after talking to several dealers; my wife got the color combination she wanted. it feels and drives like a true bimmer !!!!!!!!!!!!

happy wife, happy life is my new mantra !!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the new ride!
That's a similar deal to the one we did. Loaner with 8800 miles on the clock. X5 40e. Premium package. Mocha leather. Tech package. 20" Y wheels. Space gray. $507/month. Just paid fees at signing.

We only live 6 miles round trip from my wife's work. Used 0 gal of fuel last week and $2 in electricity. That includes extra trips to the grocery store and such. Just like a regular X5 on the highway!

This will be the second loaner lease we've done. Saves a lot of money if you can find one you like.

    .00134 and 57% for both.

$2000 option allowance on both, and $3500 lease credit on the 40e.

Hi--Lots of great information. What is the November residual and MF for a 2016 X5 40e (36 mos/ 10 or 12k miles/year). If it is a loaner, is the residual decreased by the mileage currently on the vehicle? (In the case here, about 4k miles). And I trust all other incentives should work and hold (i.e 2000 option allowance and $3500 lease credit). And all corporate programs and reduced MFs should work I'm being told that the corporate MF program doesn't apply---but I'm thinking this isn't right. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

.00134 and 60% or 59%. .25 per mile deduct for the 4000 miles.

$2000 option allowance and $3500 lease credit

So far as I know, all corporate programs should apply.
