    36/12: .00157 MF and 55% residual
    39/12: .00159 MF and 52% residual

    Is that the MSRP or selling price? Or, both?

    I get $1455/mo, using the "Balance" as the adjusted CAP cost (36/12).

    So, on the chart, you can choose "0 Cash Down", but then it shows inception fees down below.
    If you pick 36/12, do you pay $0 at lease signing? Or, $1595? Or, $1991? Or, $1595 + $1991?

    And, if those are the inception fees, does that include some of the amounts on the right that are included in the "Balance"?

    Either way, looks like some hefty markups to the money factor, to get to those payments.

    So, a little back and forth and got an offer for a 50bps markup on the MF rate (.00207 total vs .00157). What, if any, markup is considered reasonable? Also, should I be able to lock in a new build at the time of order? Or do I have to risk exposure to MF movement over the next 3-4 months between order/delivery?

    I wouldn't accept any markup.

    I don't know if JLRF will lock rates, or not. That's a question for your dealer.

    Looking to lease a 2018 Ranger Rover HSE this weekend. First time leasing so trying to do as much research and due diligence as possible before hand. I'm looking for MF and RV on a 3 year/7,500 miles p/y lease - thanks in advance! Any other advice appreciated!

    What state is this?

    There is no way I'd put $15K, or more, up front on a lease:

    1) While the up front cash changes the payment, it doesn't change the overall cost of the lease. This is still $1200-1300 per month.
    2) If the car is stolen or totaled during the lease, that up front cash is lost.

    I am looking to lease a Discovery with a MSRP if $66,778 and a sale price of 61,778. RV is 55% and a money factor of .00175. Lease numbers are coming in at 837.46 for 42 mos. The numbers seem high to me, any advice? Thanks.

    Thx. The dealearship is quoting me a higher MF. Is there a resource/entity that the average consumer can use/contact to get current MF’s? I tried contacting JLR Financial (Land Rover Financial) to get it but they said that lease info has to be gotten from the dealership, which I’m sure the dealerships know this. My plan was to say that I got the actual MF directly from JLR Financial. 

    How can I call them out with and say I got the actual MF from a source that they know has the actual MF’s and that consumers can obtain them from?

    Dealers can markup the money factor for extra profit.

    You can call them out, but they are allowed to do it, and they know they are doing it. I doubt you can shame them into giving you the base rate.

    frankly they didn’t give selling price but made it sound it was at sticker (they said it’s either price of car or MF they could negotiate, which we know they hike the MF at RR and aren’t shy about it)
    the $2800 is first month’s payment, tax, title, registration (drive offs only)

    Typical LR dealer; allergic to discounting of any sort.

    Confirm the selling price with the dealer, and we can run the numbers.

    And, start working with multiple dealers; the competition between them might shake one of them loose and give you a decent deal.

    MichealL, thanks for being a huge help in my BMW 4 and Toyota RAV4 leases in the past! You have really educated us all about the whole lease process.
    I would like to know the MF and RV for the following leases at 36 mo/12K I am considering:
    2018 Range Rover HSE
    2018 Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic
    I am a California resident 94002
    Any discount target I should be looking for from MSRP, since 2019s are coming in?

    MF is likely marked up - a lot. Which is typical for LR dealers. :sunglasses:

    Spoke to the dealership again, turns out the quote was actually chase MF of .00175. The difference btw the $1336 and $1495 was Ny taxes...8.875%
