    Good, bad, ugly? Deal is not done yet, but the following has been agreed upon in principle (North Carolina)

    2018 Kia S (w/ sunroof)
    MSRP: 25530
    Negotiated Price: 23999 (I came in asking 10% off...no joy. I either suck, or they were capped at 6%)
    Cap Cost Reduction: $4600 (4200 Lease Cash, 400 Military)
    Dealer Fee and Acquisition Fee: $850
    Total: 20399 - 13530 (residual)= 6719 / 36 = 186
    MF: .00175 x (25530+13530) = 68
    68+186 = 254
    NC sales tax computed monthly at .03: 254 x .03 = 262

    Zero down at signing. Dealer paying first month's payment. Total drive off: 0.00 Total investment: 9177.00 over 35 month. Total monthly installment: 262.00

    The money factor gets multiplied by (adjusted CAP + residual), not (MSRP + residual)
    Your adjusted CAP only differs by $3600, yet you list $4600 in CAP cost reduction.

    Copy all on the MF. Thank you. On the Adj Cap Cost, i originally figured $1k for dealee fees but it worked out to approx $850. I just added that to the overall price. Is this closer to the mark?

    MSRP: 25530
    NEG PRICE: 23999
    LEASE CASH: -4200
    MILITARY: -400
    DEALER FEES: +850
    TOTAL: 20249 - 13350 = 6899 ÷ 36= 191
    MF: 23999+13350 x .00175= 65 + 191= 256
    NC sales tax: 256 x .03= 263

    Dealer agrees to pay 1st mo payment. Total investment: 9205 (263 x 35)

    You are still using the wrong number to calculate the finance portion of the lease.
    (Adjusted CAP cost + residual)
    In your latest example, you used the selling price.

    Also, residual is $13,530, not $13,350

    look at optima S for a better car/deal; lease cash somewhat offsets high mf

    No info on the Stinger. Maybe, next month.
    Thanks... sucks because according to some articles they are offering lease cash of $6800 on the GT2 top end model but only until 1/02. Would consider leasing it with that offer depending on the other numbers. Hopefully that deal will continue into the new year.

    Don't see a purchase thread for the 2018 Optima so i will ask here. The incentives for the Optima are complicated; not sure what applies to lease and what only applies to buys. Something new for December is an extra $500 denoted "Customer Cash Enhancement." Anyone know if this applies to leases?

    Generally, only the lease cash we quote is valid for leases. If there is loyalty or conquest, that will stack.

    Most everything else is likely to be purchase incentives.

    Why not reach out to the dealer and see what they say?

    There is no SXL trim for the 2018 Optima.
